Bob discovered the joys of serving a dominant woman in college. Later, he felt adrift and alone, until he started seeing Mistress Cardinal. For three years, he faithfully followed her rules, secretly in love with her, thinking he’d never be more than her client.

Until the day he realized he was more, and Tilly opened a little of her heart to him. Happiness had literally been within his grasp, until Tilly’s ex, Cris, and his Master, Landry, entered her life and swept her away. Despite the pain, Bob still loved her, and jumped at any chance to play or serve her. Even submitting to Landry, the man who became her husband.

But what happens when a tricky sadist has a sneaky plan of his own? What happens when Bob has a chance to cross that borderline from plaything to pet? Can he accept Landry’s terms, or will he have to walk away from the only woman he’s ever really loved?

This was book 57 in the "Suncoast Society" series. Bob was one of Tilly's clients when she was a pro Domme and he was heart broken when Cris came back into her life and he married Landry. This was a really good read the author took you back in Bob's past he was always submissive his mother was the dominant one and he hated disappointing her. He also had a strong teacher in high school and while in college he a professor who became his lover who taught him how to submit to her. I really liked Bob he was looking for a woman who could hold a candle to the professor so he got married but he never told his wife want he needed and it didn't work out and while dating one woman told him he can't see his friends. He was looking for someone like Tilly so he got into a relationship with Kim and Kaylee who have been a couple for 8 years until Kaylee treated and didn't tell them. Landry and Cris both really liked him and Tilly was in love with him. I love reading this series this book had some hot sex scenes in it Landry truly is a sadist. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Another great book by Tymber Dalton! Bob has been in love with Tilly for several years now and loved serving her. But she is with Chris and Landry. I felt pretty bad for Bob in several occasions in this book. It seemed no one loved, cared or wanted him around and he just wanted to be needed and cherished. We get some background as to Bob's younger years and things that happened that shaped the man he was. But what will happen when he gets the chance to be with Tilly, Chris and Landry? Will he want this on a permanent basis or will he once again be left on his own? OMG, Tymber can NOT write a bad book. With each one, you discover more and more about characters that are scattered all throughout this series! No wonder she has so many books. And yes, I did tear up for a minute but I won't spoil it and say why!! Fans that follow this series will understand when they see it! It was a bit slow in some places but sometimes I need to slow down, so it was all good! Get the book and enjoy the story!!!

So glad Bob finally got his story. Was great to see Chris, Landry and Tilly. I am enjoying the overlapping of stories quite a bit. However this one didn't seem to start the next book in it. But I eagerly await the next book. There have been several this past year that I thought were pounded out a bit to quickly. But this one was great. Took a bit for me to get the past/present but it built the story wonderfully.

Of course now I have to go read Cardinal Rules again tonight. Thanks - waiting on the next with impatience. Always a good read with humor and love with a bit of kinky in the middle.

Borderline is book #57 in the Suncoast Society series by Tymber Dalton. In it, we finally learn Bob's story. Bob first appeared in Cardinal's Rule, book #2 in the series. He's made appearances in other books in the series. But we've never known much about him until now. Bob has always felt different. As he grows through his teen and young adult years, he discovers more of his nature and the truth of who he is. Then he meets Tilly, and his world is turned upside down. Things are never quite the same. But Tilly's life is also soon completely upended, taking her in directions she never imagined. Bob soon realizes he has to move on. But can he? Tilly's made such a huge impact on him. He certainly wants her to be happy. Is there any way he can deal with the knowledge and awareness Tilly's opened up in him?

Years go by. Bob's made a successful life for himself. His life's not perfect, but is anyone's? He's mostly happy. Shouldn't that be enough? While he's not wealthy, he's certainly on safe ground financially. His relationships have been less than ideal, but is any relationship ever perfect? He's remained friends with Tilly, her husband, Landry, and their partner, Cris, for all these years. There's never been a romantic relationship there, although they do play together at the club. But Bob's never quite gotten over the impact Tilly had on his life. When there's a suggestion that Bob could enter training with the triad, Bob's intrigued. Is it possible that the triad and Bob can form some kind of unique bond where play and training can be combined? Is that even feasible? It's not easy to maintain a poly triad relationship. Bringing in someone else, even just for training purposes, has the potential to upset the delicate balance Tilly, Landry, and Cris have made for themselves. Is this a good idea? What about the possible repercussions, not just for the triad but for Bob as well? The proposed situation is fraught with potential danger of all kinds. Will the triad and Bob decide to move forward with the training? How will the proposed new dynamic affect the delicate balance of the relationships the four have built over the years, the family Tilly, Landry, and Cris have so carefully created and fought to maintain, and Bob's own emotional wellbeing? Will they end up destroying their friendships that have been so precious to them? This could be the riskiest move any of them has ever made.

Tymber Dalton has long been a favorite author. Her Suncoast Society series is one of the very best and realistic BDSM series I've ever read. Ms. Dalton brings the very best elements of BDSM to each of her books. As I've said before, Ms. Dalton is a keen observer of life. She's also a vibrant part of a real-life BDSM community. She brings her own life experience and her astute observation and understanding of human nature to every book she writes. In Borderline, the characters are charismatic, authentic, and totally engaging. The interactions of all the characters are captivating and totally realistic. This story is not at all predictable, and I love the unique storyline. I give Borderline my highest recommendation without reservation. Thank you, Tymber Dalton, for once again giving us a glimpse into the lives of real people who are part of the BDSM community. This is an exceptional book, and you are truly one of the most impressive authors I've ever read!

One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. USE THESE RESOURCES. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

WOW! This book just blew me away! I have to start by saying that Tilly is my favorite character in the Suncoast Society series and that her husband Landry is a close second. In this book, these characters revealed things that surprised and shocked me! Having read Cardinal's Rule, I always hoped that Bob's full story would be written. Now that it has, I can not wait for more! The feeling that you have found your place is one that is dear to my heart. I loved reading about what that is for each character in this story!
This book can be read as a standalone but I feel the reading experience is much richer for me because of reading Cardinal's Rule, Click, Impact and Happy Valenkink's Day.

I've been waiting for Bob's story for a while. It was worth the wait. In this book you get Bob, Tilly, Landry and Chris. It weaves in and out of Bob's far past, not so far past and his present. How do the four of them form a family along with KC. Will Bob get his HEA with Tilly whom he was falling for in the trio's book? I love the back story that Tymber gives us, it helps me better understand Bob. Which I must admit took me a while to do. It took me a little while to get into this story but it was worth it. I can't wait to see what the future holds for these guys.

This was one of my favorite Suncoast Society's books! I liked the way Tymber went back and forth in time. Without having to read through a "then to now" in order, you got to see the "now" and then see how Bob evolved into it. I love the way Tymber has given us yet another BDSM dynamic. She brings us in slowly, according to Landry's diabolical planning. It also shows the relationship of Tilly, Landy and Cris in much more detail than we have seen since Cardinal's Rule.

I can't wait to see how Tymber outdoes this book!

Ages ago Bob & Tilly almost had a moment but Landry and Cris blew that all away. They all form a friendship and we've seen peeks now and then. But Bob seems to finally have a chance to give his life the direction he's longed for. It isn't conventional in any sense of the word and it certainly isn't his original plan but I'm so glad to see hop for him obtaining his own HEA.

I have read EVERY single Suncoast Society book written by Tymber Dalton and love ALL of them. But this one is probably one of my top three! This one sticks out to me on such a deeper level. Probably because I felt for Bob! And am SO HAPPY how it all turned out. I hope that we have a year update down the road.

I really liked Bob from the first moment I read about him in cardinal's Rule and it was wonderful to see him back and now together with Tilly, Chris and Landon. It was very intense, but also very sweet and caring. And don't forget hot.

Bob is such a awesome guy, his feeling for Tilly have always been deep and vice versa. So great to watch as Lan makes him part of the family, such a smooth sadist. Good luck to Bob with all of the languages I'm sure KC will be there learning with him.

The Romance Review

What about Bob? When Bob first appeared in The Cardinal Rule, he came across as an afterthought. Because really, he is a paying submissive to Pro-Domme Tilly. What really could come out of that relationship? What's more is, I loved Cardinal Rule and the happily for now ending broke my heart. I have always been a Cris fan. Yes, Landry is sexy hawt. And Tilly I'm iffy about. Bob though, who the heck is Bob? Years later, brokenhearted and resigned to a life of watching from the outside, we finally learn about Bob. This book is a continuation of a couple of previous ones, but it is fine to read as a standalone.

Whilst I love the attention given to Bob in this story, I'm a bit mixed at times. He is a submissive male who enjoys women. He loves to submit to women. Getting involved with Cris and Landry is a bit odd for me. The way Landry sneakily tests Bob's heteroflexibility makes me feel a little ill at ease. Still, it seems to work for Bob. He is getting accustomed to Landry's behaviour modification as well as sexual conditioning. Seriously, what masochist doesn't drool a bit at the thought of submitting to Landry, gay or not?

This story takes a few painful strolls down memory lane. Bob becomes a character with more depth as we learn about how he comes to his lifestyle. And how he misses out each time or gets screwed over. Instead of just a cardboard stand in, he takes on a life that makes me sad for him. Not that I pity him, but more that his yearning for something just within his reach each time that gets yanked away, it is like a bitter pill. His wistful memories of the first woman who tuned him into submission compared to the forlorn depression when Tilly kicks him to the curb is hard to witness. The song, Mr. Cellphone, describes him.

Cellophane, Mister Cellophane
Should have been my name, Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
Walk right by me and never know I'm there

Fortunately, Landry has other plans and it starts to take shape in this story. Spoiler alert, it does not complete in this story, because Ms. Dalton is also a sadist like Landry who enjoys keeping readers in suspense. This erotic romance is recommended to readers who like seeing the quiet and nice guy finally get noticed.

Tilly is the Sun

Tilly is her men's world andi love it. While this is Bob's story I loved getting to see how far her men will go to make her happy. Going as far has to get her a toy. Landry and his need to fix things is adorable and I can't help the fictional crush I have on Master Fussypants.

Finally we get Bob's story. After Cardinal's Rule we left Bob without the woman he loves. He has shown up in the series here and there but now we know what happened. Written in Bob's POV we now understand what happen and where is end up. Oh and we get more Landry, Cris & Tilly.
