One Last Shot is a wonderful follow up to Cocktails, Rock Tales and Betrayals. While it is the second in the Blood Stone Riot series, it works well as a stand alone too. We are introduced to two new characters, the troubled guitarist Richey, and a woman in need of rescuing, Eva. The dynamics of their relationship and the baggage they both carry are what drives the plot forward. There’s also a nice sub plot, involving a couple of characters from the first novel, which is what gives continuity.

Another fun ride, another glimpse into rock-star life with characters that jump off the page and a story that flows with incredible pace. It has depth and strength and intense emotion. You'll fall in love with new characters and get to revisit old ones. If you enjoyed Cocktails, Rock Tales, and Betrayals you'll definitely want to pick this one up. And if you haven't read either of them, you'll want both.
