Sirens of the Zombie Apocalypse #4
Last Fight of the Valkyries: Sirens of the Zombie Apocalypse, Book 4
The escape is over and the race to save civilization beginsLiam and Victoria take a deep breath in a new home after their non-stop battles of escape and rescue in the city of St. Louis. Grandma Marty, exhausted beyond words, finally reaches a place she can rest and recuperate. Cairo, Illinois is the fortified refuge they've been hoping for.
But Liam pledged he would document the destruction of the world. He's inspired to write a tell-all book. It would be his way of recording for the history books who was responsible for creating the zombies and unleashing them upon mankind. To do that, he needs to go back outside the wire of safety.
Liam and Victoria head upriver to the one place they know holds clues to the zombie plague: a deep, dark pit mine. Their plans are complicated by a young woman Liam rescued on his final flight from St. Louis. She wants to accompany them on the journey north. At first she appears harmless, but as they reach the mine, and find who and what's inside, her loyalties become more and more suspect.
Grandma, unsure of her own mental state, believes she's seen the strange girl before. In her dreams.
The Sirens of the Zombie Apocalypse series.
Book 1: Since the Sirens
Book 2: Siren Songs
Book 3: Stop the Sirens
Book 4: Last Fight of the Valkyries
Book 5: Zombies vs Polar Bears [June 23, 2016]
Author's Notes: Last Fight of the Valkyries is book 4 in the Sirens of the Zombie Apocalypse series. It is a continuation of Liam, Marty, and Victoria's story, and it builds in new characters. Books 1-3 concerned the first days of the collapse and introduced Grandma Marty, Liam, and Victoria. Books 4-6 will explore the origin of the zombie infection and the all-important question for Liam--can humanity survive them? I hope you enjoy where the story is taking us both. Thank you for being a reader.

About the author
E.E. Isherwood
94 books148 followersE.E. Isherwood has been a storyteller for over 30 years. Initially the muse took the form of childish comic strips. As a teen it manifested itself under the guise of Dungeons and Dragons adventures. In college it culminated with a Master's thesis on Missouri geography—an extremely boring kind of story. Three decades and several careers later he realized that siren song never stopped, so he began to author books. A life-long enthusiast of apocalyptic fiction, writing about zombies was his passion. Future titles in science fiction and fantasy are in the hopper. He lives in the St. Louis, Missouri area, where his series of zombie books takes place.

The best part of this book may just be the writer's comments at the end where they address the reviews left on the series so far and explains to readers some of the choices they have made and gives insights to where the story may be headed. There are hints both ways that new characters may be good or bad. You come out of this book wondering which side is good or evil, but you also know that the MC is always doing what they feel is right.

Great
Liam is going to get them out of this. Hope grandma is going to be okay. Now to find out what his dad did or didn't do.

Overwhelming numbers of infected, AKA the Zombies
After reading the authors review of the reviews I was grievously appalled by the way other readers/reviewers would suggest the Religious beliefs of the Grandma would be objectionable. I'm in the Grandma age range and think it is wonderful the Author includes her Religious beliefs and values GOD'S guidance. The series of books remind me of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse from the book of Revelations in the Bible. It is also wonderful there is no cursing. I've stopped reading books and watching programs where the Lord's name is taken in vain. My time on Earth is limited and my relationship with God is important to me. Back to the book, I think there is research being done by the government and or pharmaceutical companies for reanimated or artificial intelligence. This is a great what if book and I've enjoyed reading the series.
