It’d be an understatement to say that I jumped at the chance to find out who orchestrated the hit on Mariana Petran. To threaten the queen of the clans is an attack against all of us and being tasked with tracking down the son-of-a-bitch is nothing short of an honor.
But when I found him I also found something unexpected, a sweet, sweet cherry on top of the sundae.

Sissy's Romance Book Review
The Trade by Elizabeth Knox is book Two in The Clans. This is the story of Anton and Natasha. I haven't yet read the previous book so for me this was easily a standalone book.
Anton and Natasha met when Natasha came into his club. They both wanted each other immediately and they acted just as fast. This lead them to meet up a few more times and Anton thought of her as his girl. But their fun encounters changed when Natasha walked in on him beating her Uncle up. They then learn who the other one

I'm done with this series!

I'm done! I am not going to read books that do not make me feel good. That do not hold women up as amazing, beautiful, equal and deserving of respect and treasured!!! I will not repeat my review of book one or my update of this one at 60%. What I will say is that at no time in these books did I feel good, did I enjoy what I was reading! This book not only makes me feel yuky, but it makes you nausea thinking of how the women in these books are treated. Quote from Anton t

I hate giving this book only 3 stars because I really did love the characters and their story but I feel like their story is not finished and there where too many holes left unfinished and questions left unanswered. I will not give spoilers and this is only my opinion and should not sway you away from reading this book.

Woo! Anton.. He is without a doubt an alpha male. And a HOT one at that. Natasha had a rough past, but she is hands down the strongest woman ever. She has just the right amount of fight and sass that Anton needs. Their relationship is far from easy, but it's worth everything they go through. This book was such an enjoyable read!

Ok. I'm just gonna say this is my book. Yep! Ok, so I didn't write it, or narrate it. I could sit here and tell you everything you want to know about the book. I could tell you how hot and steamy it gets. I could tell you that the two main characters are in really deep. I could tell you a lot of things. But because I'm me, I'm running this show. No I'm just kidding. There's no show. Come on guys, you've read the blurb. You know what the other readers are

Romanian Alpha Male🐺🍆🌋 Clan(mob) Adult BDSM👋 Romance.

The book is interesting, but the narration and characters seem so detached, apart, not really into each other and the story. I think it's the narrative that is causing the problem.

Natasha👸💋 is the daughter of a wealthy Russian American monster arms dealer, she is a princess of the Romanian Mob, specifically the Constantin Clan, consisting only of her and her Uncle Jan.

I was soooo excited for this book!!!! The first book, Promised, was the first book of Elizabeth's I read. From there I totally fell in love! I couldn't wait for the second book in the series and to see what came next! I love that we got to see Mariana and Ion in this book, especially got to see how fierce Mariana is. LOVE IT!

There were so many surprises in this book. I try to not think of the blurbs for books when I read them, in face with this one I hadn't read the blurb in so long I didn't eve

"Sometimes I'm not angry, I'm hurt, and there's a big difference."

The Trade is a quick & sexy mafia read and is not like any of the mafia books that I've read in the past; with the focus more on the relationship. This change of pace was refreshing and I really enjoyed this one. Natasha and Anton meet in a club but choose not to share who they truly are. So when Natasha finds Anton is a rather bloody and compromisi

This is Book 2 of The Clans series. I have not read Book 1 (but I’m going to, really soon!) and I didn't feel like I missed out too much. This book is just so good, I want more! When this book starts, it feels like an edgy NA book. It was edgy, all right, but so much more than what I was expecting. Told from dual points of view, Natasha and Anton click from the start. Both are powerful, confident people. Their time together is spent on more pleasurable pursuits other than getting to know each ot ...more

Need more of The Clans!

I am officially hooked! Anton was definitely one hot mofo with his swoony moments. Couldn't be the alpha he is without you wanting to junk punch him a time or two though. Loved Natasha with her confidence and kickass attitude. Not to mention one amazing wardrobe enough to make anyone jealous.
Things are about to change for the better in this book. I am left with so many questions I still need from the books to come. Like I said, hooked!

I’ll admit I was skeptical about this book as it’s not one of the usual tropes I read. However, I’m glad I read it. Both Anton and Natasha are strong, bold characters but they both have a softness that make them tangible. I don’t understand how the clans, mob, or mafia work but it’s an interesting insight to the underworld we live amongst. I didn’t quite understand the Sergei thing. I still have wonder “who did it?” And what happened with Rusev?
Definite recommendation. Having not read book 1, I

A good read

This book is so much better than the first in the series and not as many mistakes. Anton is head of the Balan clan and is a true alpha male, Natasha is a feisty red head whose father is head of the Russian mob and she is the sole heiress to the Constantin clan. These two meet purely by accident and neither is aware who the other is but their chemistry is off the scale, it becomes obvious who they are when Anton tortured her uncle in front of her and she is f o ever to end his life rat

This is book 2 and I did not read book one. This is not my usual genre and I didn't understand the clans but I felt the story was not reliant on book one or the clan information.
Anton and Natasha are strong characters and care well developed in this book. The author gives the reader a story that you can follow. When these two meet they are immediately attracted to each other and quickly fall into a "relationship", until Anton carries out an assignment and Natasha and he discover who they really

The Trade by Elizabeth Knox is book two of The Clans serious and it was extremely good!! This Russian mob story really had me in suspense and anxious to know what was going to happen next!!! I was shocked and stunned by the lead character Natasha!! She is a strong women who stands up for herself and her beliefs. Anton is all alpha male and as quite powerful. He has Influence and the smarts to see why he wants and takes it, including Natasha. Together these two will be a force to be reckoned with ...more

Natasha just wanted a nice vacation and to check out new club. Her best friend ended up not feeling well so she went to club by herself. She was summoned upstairs to meet a man. They had instant sexual chemistry right away and Natasha can’t resist him. They don’t know anything about others life or history. She finds out his name is Anton and he’s a business man. They exchange numbers and start seeing each other. Everything changes when Natasha goes to see uncle and walks into something she didn’ ...more

When I started this book, I was pretty unsure of it because of the way it began; however, that being said, once there was this major revelation in the beginning, it got really interesting and had me hooked. The writing style seemed different to me, but it worked for this story. There is definitely some intense physical chemistry between Natasha and Anton. I have not read the first book, so I’m not sure if it discusses more in depth about the Clans or not (although you pretty much get the gist of ...more

This is not my first book by this author but this is a bit different. Modern day clans are interesting with this author taking a turning a tale on it. Having missed the first one I still was able to pick up well on this one as I read. The characters Anton and Natasha bring you plenty of heat from the beginning but a challenge is thrust in the middle of them. That is when it really gets heated up in a different way with you the captive inching forward to see how they survive in this. Your are pai ...more

Drama, Fast Action and Chemistry That's Off The Charts
This was book two in the Clans Series. Anton was assigned the job of finding out who orchestrated the attack on the Queen of the Clans, Mariana. Enter Natasha and the plot thickens. Neither knew who the other were connected to. Throw in lots of danger, the Romanian mob and more drama than you can imagine. Family dynamics and chemistry that's off the charts. Great characters that are likeable and a story that will keep you page turning. I read

Unfortunately, this book just didn’t have a thing that would make me want to read another book in this series. While the storyline has been used what feels like a zillion times lately, the characters were well defined but very dark in nature. The whole book was very dark and was just too much in places...

While the book left me wondering why I invested the time to finish it, you might really like it. Read the book and decide for yourself. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this boo

This was just ok for me

This was the first book I've read by this author and it is second in a series. I don't think it's necessary to read the previous but other characters are mentioned so it would probably be better to read in order. The characters are likable but I didn't feel the connection between them, lust yes but not love. I really liked Anton he was a ruthless leader and I can appreciate that in my hero. I felt for Natasha she's had a hard life. I'm glad everything worked out in the en

I was pulled in to this book from the start. I have to admit I haven’t read the first book (something I will rectify shortly) but that didn’t distract from my enjoyment and bits of that story are mentioned so I got the gist of it. So, some great characters here that you take to immediately, an exciting plot line that just flows and is so well written it’s hard to tear yourself away from it , I’m going to be reading this series till the end .

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book. Anton and Natasha were amazing together, I loved this book. This is the second book in the series and it did not disappoint. When these two meet, the chemistry is off the charts hot, there’s drama, danger, suspense and extremely intense moments. If this book is any indication of what’s to come with the series, hold on tight ladies! Highly recommend this book.

I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I really enjoyed all the characters. Though some of them were very intriguing especially her dad. Natasha and Anton they were a good couple at first when it started out. Then things took a turn. And then after that turn things got back on the right track. Overall this was a pretty good book. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.

The Trade is the second book in the Clans series. I have been loving this take on a mobster romance! I loved that Natasha had a back bone and was able to stand up for herself among powerful men. I also loved how Anton allowed her to be herself. I was completely blown away by the twists in the story. My only complaint is that I thought the story was a little tame for a mobster romance book. I am looking forward to reading more in this series!

What an amazing book. Anton and Natasha are hot for each other they meet at his club and start to have a relationship and for a few months and than one night everything changes. When the truth of who they are and one of their past comes back will they be able to get past it all? This book has a lot of emotions and some dark in it an it pulls you in and don't let go till the end. Love this book can't wait to read the next.

This was an ARC sent as a surprise release and a surprise it was! You spend the first part of the book wondering who exactly our gentleman is… what is he hiding? Then like a brick wall it hits you. The next part of the story is the adjustment to finding out. This book had me hooked in and I read it in just one evening. There were moments that left me confused, concerned and occasionally fearful for the characters. I will definitely be looking out for more clans stories ☺
