The complete title of this book is "There Was Once A Time Of Islands, Illusions and Rockefellers". It is a biography of Anne-Marie Rasmussen, a Norweigan maid in the household of the Nelson Rockefeller family who became the Cinderella bride of Stephen Rockefeller, a son of Nelson Rockefeller. It is a plain spoken, sensitive story of star-crossed lovers who were unable to bridge the implanted goals formulated during their disparate upbringings.
