Bel, Book and Scandal may have been the third book in a series, but it was the perfect place for me to dive into the Cozy Mystery genre. I didn’t feel at all lost while reading this book, but I will say that Bel’s family and acquaintances are such a colorful cast of characters that I definitely want to go back and read the first few books. In this book, it is time for Bel to come to terms with her past. A simple photograph in a newspaper reminds Bel of the disappearance of her best friend years ago.
