Honestly this book is so good that I almost ended up highlighting and book marking all the pages and then decided against continuing to highlight because what is the point of it if I am going to mark everything? I suppose it is very obvious and self explanatory by now that the dialogues are very entertaining. The writing style is eloquent and engaging. Couldn't finish
This story just seemed ridiculous to me. I didn't understand the reasoning behind the heroine's father insisting that the man who wished to marry his daughter had to go to war. The odds were the fellow would either be injured or killed. How did that idea even get off the ground? The fellow did get killed -- spoiler alert.
The capper for me was the heroine stating the hero knew how to push her buttons. I seriously doubt that expression was one used during the Regency. What buttons ...more

Great book
Very enjoyable! Lucian & Rosslyn's book was fantastic. Lucian who was introduced in the second book has finally found his match in Rosslyn. Rosslyn was engaged to Lucian's best friend Alfred who died in battle. They both seemed to have had a mutual disliking to each other in the beginning which ended up turning into a burning attraction. This book has humor and romance with fantastic characters. I hope there will be more books added to this collection. ...more

Give Your Heart A Rake is a fantastic read by Tanya Wilde. Ms Wilde has gifted us with an amazing, well-written story loaded with phenomenal characters. Rosslyn and Lucien's story is full of drama, humor and spice. I totally enjoyed reading Give Your Heart A Rake and look forward to reading more from Tanya Wilde in the future. Give Your Heart A Rake is part of the Misadventures Of The Heart Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I enjoyed it, but I was confused by the fact that Be!le had a baby when she was "barren" in the previous book, but no explanation was offered. Book still suffers misspelling and grammatical errors throughout as most e-books do. Why don't they use editors or proofreaders? ...more

There is an immediate spark between the two, which deepens as the story continues. Lucien dares Rosslyn to let him show her how ill-suited as husbands the gentlemen on her list are. This involves some mild risk-taking on the part of Rosslyn, but she doesn't seem to think twice beforehand. Decent, believable main characters, good dialog and writing style. A light-hearted and enjoyable quick read.

This is a very entertaining and charmingly enjoyable book. Lucien is quite the schemer and Ross is quite the sneaky one. What a clever plot with plenty of humor and romance.

I really enjoy the "enemies to lovers" type story, so this one fit the bill. Being a historical romance I was expecting more classical language, but the language of the story seemed pretty modern to me (at least for a regency romance). Anyway I liked the story! ...more

I liked the style of writing. Typical Regency romance. The writing was what I felt made it different. The other books in this series are very affordable. A nice way to spend a cool, crisp day under a blanket.
