I was looking for a book that was published in 1969 to participate in a reading challenge. I read the wrong Rich Man, Poor Man but it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless. I enjoyed the love story about a young woman who was poor and had the option to marry another poor man or marry a rich cripple. You go through the twists and turns of human conflicts that Babs endured, and you get to see how people think money can buy anything. But you get to meet David Lloyd, an invalid, who has a heart of gold. All he wants to do is be loved. David Lloyd is also rich but he's human and it's hard for him to be the antagonist in this story. He is a protagonist and you want him to find love. Meanwhile Varick is poor but he's a good man and honest and you want him to find love as well. To make it more complicated Varick and David Lloyd are friends.

Entertaining like an old movie. The POV and scenes jump around, making it a little hard to follow. It's okay.

This is easy to read 1915 trash. If you have some time to fill and perhaps could use some 1915 trash to fill it with, I highly recommend it.
