Wanted to smack Kate
I read the first book...The Dragon's Pet...and enjoyed it enough to immediately buy this one; however I did not enjoy this book ad much. The main reason I did not give this more than 3 stars is Kate, the heroine. I so wanted to give her a good smack.******Spoiler******
She opens a portal into the Dragon world (illegal) and only thinks about her own interests...how famous she will be, maybe a Nobel Prize....as she invades another specie's world. Even when she is told that her actions could result in another war and countless deaths she refuses to take any responsibility. She was a childish, whiny brat and, by the time she did take things seriously, I just didn't like her. You might not find her as objectionable and annoying as I did.
There are good points to the book, it is well written, you get to see the couple from the first book, and (of course) the spanking sex scenes. I really liked the male MC.

A simply wonderful read I hope that readers will love this book as much as I have
Kate cannot believe it has finally happened, using her scientific expertise she has Stepped into the world she believed she would one day visit. Her first visit only fleeting had alerted the dragons to her presence.
Her second trip was anticipated by the dragons, she was captured by Vilka an enormous red dragon, he’s changed into the most amazingly large, anatomically correct male she had ever seen, or even dreamed of and he was completely naked.”
She was captured in his enormous talon and then literally flown back to his huge fortress high in the mountains. Lord Vilka was determined to learn the truth regarding her ability to open a portal, no matter what persuasion was necessary, even involving pain.
Lord Vilka was soon to learn that first impressions were not to be trusted, Kate was determined to defy him and escape back to her own time. She withstood every punishment he devised but was at a loss as to her escapologist ability, he found her perseverance both infuriating and enchanting.
This was an entertaining read it involved all the components I have come to love reading about in Loki Renard’s books, it was yet another book I was not able to put down until I completed it and discovered what the eventual outcome actually was……

Dragon’s Captive is a second book of the Dragon Brides series and delivers another steamy, intense mating of dragon shifter and human female.
FMC Kate has become a captive of dragon warrior Lord Vilka after opening and entering their parallel world through a portal she created after the original was closed by her government when the dragon wars ended.
It was now highly illegal to open any kind of portal.
Sneaking into her science lab at college to gather the additional items she needed, her plans were exactly to do that.
Solving the problem of surviving the radiation in the dragon world that was deadly to humans DNA was the last hurtle, she was now ready to go.
All in the name of science and her curiosity which we all know got the kitty killed…This cannot end well.
Nice writing, drama, a little humor, danger, passion, spankings, mate bonding and Kate is definitely not going home, maybe!

This is a good follow up to the first book and although it does not need to be read to understand this one, it would be useful to give this one context. Kate is a scientist, largely unnoticed by her peers. She is obsessed with forming a portal to the dragon world and obtaining the adulation of the scientific world for her efforts. Unfortunately she is so focused that she does not consider the effect of her actions on the dragon realm or even for the people on earth. She takes far too long to acknowledge any responsibility for the potentially catastrophic events that follow. Vilka keeps her prisoner - or tries to, and administers sorely needed discipline. Ultimately they need to cooperate in order to defeat the menace that has been unleashed on Earth. This book is quite entertaining and I am looking forward to the next instalment. I enjoyed reading this story, it quickly turned into a book I couldn't put down. The realm building was very nicely done. For the most part the characters were very well written, a few times Lise was a little over the top in her bratting. I'm pretty sure I would have just fed her to the dragon and gone on, but by the end she had redeemed herself. I really liked Vilka as he struggled to maintain a kingdom and take care of Lise. I didn't realize this was part of a series. This book definitely makes me want to go back and read the first book in the series.

All the Great things in Erotica
What can you say about a story that leaves you excited and wet. Great storyline, even better characters. Absolutely!!! If your a fan of a great romance, some excellent D/s and great sex without the trashy side; then this series is for you. I've not read but the Dragon/human stories, so I am probably not going to be a fan of all because in my life there is no way D/s is wrong unless one is forced. But I love this story line. I recommend it highly.

The Insta -love story of the scientist and her sexy Dragon mate who is a domineering,alpha male also takes his non-compliant female in hand by forcefully taking her and having sex with her in front of a crowd to prove she can submit. It's an exciting too. I really believe you will like I if you are into domination, spanking and shaming as a bit more than BDSM enjoyable adult fun. I really had amazingly good time reading this.k

The best part of this book was Kate because I loved her personality. She was so smart, yet such a dumbass at the same time. It made for a fun read.
The plot took me by surprise? (Do people even read these books for the plot lol?) I was invested in the storyline and genuinely curious about what would happen.
I also liked seeing Vyktor and Aria from the first book.
I disliked the epilogue though- the story could have done without it, or at least with a different way of telling it.

Another wonderful read from Ms. Renard. This book is as good if not better than the first book. Who knew dragons could be so hot? I absolutely adored Lise’s strength, ingenuity, and sass. And when all of that ran smack into Lord Vilka… boy did sparks fly. This story has a very unique premise that is completely engaging for the reader.

A Dragon and His Willful Mate
Kate’s research on dragons and portal travel to their realm is risky, but she is determined. Even when Vilka captures her, she’s determined to do things her way. This story is action packed and red hot, and I really enjoyed Vilka’s and Kate’s battle of wills. A great read.

I loved this 2nd book in Loki Renard's dragon world. Kate is a scientist and a headstrong woman who decides she wants to know everything about the dragon world. She has no idea that when Vilka captures her, she's going to get more than she ever expected. Spicy spankings and public humiliation are in her future until something in their relationship between them sparks chemistry.

What A Treat
I totally love the "Dragon Brides" series. Book one is a great start and necessary before you read book two. The characters are fun and delightfully entertaining. The storyline was very well constructed and even gave a little hint of what the next story would be about. I highly recommend the series.

This is basically porn. There is no actual story. This book is exactly like the first book except with different names and different places. World building is practically nonexistent. Basically girl gets captured, boy punishes girl with sex and the girl ends up liking it, then later has a kid. The girl in this story is described as a genius in post graduate school. To me it sounds like she's studying to be a physicist but Who knows because the author doesn't seem to know either. The way the girl is described is not logical. Someone who studies math and science is highly logical and yet the girl doesn't even think once about where the portal might end up opening or what contingency plans she needs to come up with in The event of capture. She's stupid. She behaves like an annoying teenager that you almost root for her to lose. Sequence of events are not logical either. The human unleashes a monster on earth and has just Lost her freedom. What do they do? Her and the dragon have sex before she gets punished...... which ends up just being more sex. The way she closes the portal is idiotic and not something that someone who is working on a doctorate in physics would do. This book made me angry. This was lazy writing at best. If you read the first book in the series then you read this one. I DO NOT recommend it!
