Brilliant (if one sided) account of Pinochet's junta and Allende's murder. Its forgotten how much promise Allende's regime had, until it was effectively subverted by Nixon and Kissinger.
It reminded me how Thatcher actively supported Pinochet too, and the account of Milton Friedman's disastrous economic experiments basically being tested on the Chilean people is horrifying.
Although essentially a political book, this reads like a thriller, and is essential reading.
