I have suffered from IBS symptoms for 30+ years, but it was only recently that my condition was correctly diagnosed and that was by going on a low FODMAP diet. The FODMAP elimination diet is extremely difficult and daunting to stick to, particularly if like me, you like to go out to eat a lot. However, for success, you have to stick to this diet 100% for the 6 week duration. Ideally, you should also get the support of a Dietician. This book offers a good insight into IBS with lots of information ...more

The Low-FODMAP 6-Week Plan and Cookbook is as it says in the title, a six week plan and cookbook for those who suffer from IBS.

Part one of the book begins with an introduction to IBS and explains the foods and life situations that may trigger IBS symptoms. It provides a number of ideas on how to deal with an IBS episode and provides information on other health problems that accompanies IBS, such as depression and diverticulosis.

The next two chapters in part one go into detail of what the FODMAP

I received a DIGITAL Advance Reader Copy of this book from #NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. From the publisher ---

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is at epidemic levels. Moreover, it is a debilitating condition that leaves its sufferers unable to enjoy many of the normal activities of life. However, the Low-FODMAP diet is promising real relief to those who suffer from IBS and other related digestive disorders. In-depth research studies have proven that the diet dramatically decreases

I was given an ARC of this book through NetGalley and the publishers for an honest review.
I was so grateful to receive a copy of this amazing guide and Cookbook. I was an IBS sufferer long before it was used as an excuse for many people to make up a specific diet to help give some comfort and relief to all those who have been diagnosed with this horrible monster. The many pieces of sage and welcome advise along with easy and nitrious recipes and a 6 week plan was miracle. I have been given so ma

I have not been diagnosed with IBS but I do have a sensitive stomach and diverticulitis. Whenever I eat bread or a high proportion of red meat, or if I drink milk or wine, I suffer with pain and bloating within a few hours.

Since I had been thinking about trying a Low FODMAP diet to see if it makes a difference, I think this book is just what I need to guide me through the diet.

A very informative book with what appear to be relatively straight forward elimination plans with accompanying recipes t

For those suffering from IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), this will be a perfect book to step you through an easy 6-week plan to clear IBS. After week 3 you should see a difference. The Low-FODMAP Diet with recipes and a list of trigger foods are something I didn’t know as well as so much other information in this book. Highly recommend this book for anyone with Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Read all of my reviews at:

A really fabulous, informative book that helps the user figure out which foods cause gut discomfort. I really like how the author included recipes and food plans as well as substitutions for specific foods. As a nutrition coach, I am always learning about food and its effects on the human body. No two humans are the same which can make nutrition challenging. This book is a great addition to my nutrition education arsenal.

Fair Winds Press and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of The Low-FODMAP 6-Week Plan and Cookbook. I was under no obligation to review this book and my opinion is freely given.

The Low-FODMAP 6-Week Plan and Cookbook is a guideline for individuals with IBS to follow for a more successful and healthy lifestyle. As each person who is living with IBS has different individual needs and triggers, this book is meant as a general road map to help alleviate symptoms. Personally, I could not s

For anyone who has ever had any IBS, Fructose or problems with digestion due to food intolerances, this is the book for you. This book explains everything you would want or need to know, along with recipes, the reintroduction phase of incorporating foods, case studies and so much more. It is a 6-week plan and cookbook and gets into the nitty gritty of how to handle many problems, even the embarrassing ones.

For someone who is diagnosed with food intolerances, just the word "Intolerance" can put y

I am sorry to say that I cannot recommend this book for reasons relayed to the publisher.

Specifically, at 14% in the Kindle edition, Ms. Perazzini makes the broad statement that "People eating a low FODMAP diet do not have a problem with gluten," the protein responsible for celiac disease, an autoimmune disease, and non-celiac gluten sensitivity. FODMAPs are fermentable carbohydrates, but gluten can be found in a number of items such as soy sauce (which is actually fermented wheat, rather than f

I've been having a lot of gastro- problems lately so I was happy to get the chance to review this book. The changes were a little daunting at first (no garlic! no onions! rice flours! etc.) but I'm happy to see so many delicious recipes included in addition to her wisdom about managing stress, the expectations of others around you, and more.

Going to try the Almond & Rosemary Chicken with Sweet Potato Mash and Spinach tonight!

Thanks to Netgalley for the book

I looked at this book as it stated low mood and wanted to look at some recipies to help with that. It's more focused on IBS, which I'm lucky not to have, but it has some amazing advise on various health conditions, depression including and has some amazing recipies which I can't wait to try.

This book 'does what it says on the tin'.

...or lives up to its name. Some delicious recipes and exciting menus. Supporting advice excellent. For me though if you need low sugar you will find you will need to adapt many of these recipes as they use white sugar. Good guidebook to navigate FOD dietary change.

The explanations are very brief and not terribly helpful, and the weekly meal plans are very complex. The author actually stops at one point and tells people to buy a booklet from the university where she works in order to successfully follow the diet she’s promoting in this book. What?

I am reviewing this book for Suzanne Perazzini, and NetGalley who gave me a copy of their book for an honest review.
This is a book which provides meal ideas and guidance for those with digestive issues. It gives a lot of information but without going too deep (when I usually start to switch off)
