Good book. Brett is the oldest of the Walker siblings. He came back to Blue Arrow Lake after his time in the military and started his landscaping business. He takes care of the lawns of the rich tourists who come to the lake each summer. He's also been keeping an eye open for a burglar who has been hitting those summer houses. When he spots an intruder at one of the houses, he's surprised to find Angelica - who lived in that house - behaving in a suspicious manner.

My Review:
Overall, I've enjoyed this entire series. It's the story of four siblings who've inherited a mountain resort...this is my kind of setting. In this mountain community, the locals are leery of the flat-landers, which is what Angelica is.

Angelica is the pampered daughter of a man who's been convicted of financial crimes. Suddenly she finds herself locked out of her home, and her father has emptied out all her accounts of HER money that she earned modeling. Immediately, I felt empathy for

3.75 Hearts I will start by saying that by the end of the book I really enjoyed it. I had a hard time in the beginning. Brett seemed rude and had a preconceived notion of rich people. He seemed a bit egotistical as well and he really didn’t sit well with me. Yes there is a reason behind his attitude but for some reason it didn’t read right if you know what I mean. Angelica is someone I liked. She has had a lot thrown at her quickly and yet is still ok wit

2-1/2 stars.

I haven't read the other books in the Cabin Fever Series but this one was cute.

After losing her fortune, Angelica Rodriguez is down on her luck and needs to find a job as soon as possible. She meets landscaper Brett Walker, who through a series of unlikely events, offers her a job. I enjoyed Angelica and Brett's relationship. They were fun and sweet. Unfortunately, I had a hard time getting in to this story and relating to Angelica. I really liked Brett a lot and thought they were c
This book #3 in the Cabin Fever Series and it does not disappoint with the recurring characters that makes you fall in love, an interesting plot that is emotional and so well written that you feel like you are right there in Blue Arrow Lake. The lust sizzles between the H/H that makes love a temptation that won't be denied.
Christie created a work of art that is sassy, sexy, and addictive!
Can't wait for Mac and Zan's story....

I really liked this third book in this series and there was another secondary story in this book that I really enjoyed too... So you got two stories for the price of one..

One Night is my first read by Christie Ridgway, it is the third book in the One & Only series and I didn't feel as if I missed out on the first two in order to enjoy this story. It did leave me wanting to read and find out about the characters in the first two books.

Brett Walker is not your ordinary alpha male character, he is a grumpy landscaper and a brother to three sisters ( 2 of which are planning a wedding). Brett has a past that carries a heavy burden and heartbreak it has also kept h

This was a great romance between two people who are drawn to reach other in so many ways, but just don’t think it’s a good idea. You know the way that happens, right? He’s cute and you’ve got great chemistry but you’re not staying … Or he’s leaving, or he’s not what you’ve got planned or vise versa. But you just can’t stop! I really enjoyed the way the author brought them both to life.

Every time I read a book by this author, I get that warm fuzzy feeling and this book is no exception. It adds a little laughter into the mix along with the love and emotions of each character.

This time it is the Walker brother who is the focus. He lives in one of the family cabins near Blue Arrow Lake and works as a landscaper, something he has done for many years. On his way home, he gets pulled over by the local law enforcement asking him to watch out for unusual activity. There have been seve

One Night (One & Only Book 3) may be my favorite of the series, at least it is so far. I always enjoy a heroine who when faced with major problems in life, rolls up her sleeves and works through them. That pretty much sums up Angelica, plus she stays optimistic and emotional strong too. Grumpy Brett needs an enduring ray of sunshine like Angelica in his life. He is one lucky guy to find her. In One Night, his past comes to light which I have been interested in knowing after his appearances i ...more

Book 3 of the series is about Brett Walker, the only male in the family of four siblings. While their parents were not the best example of marriage, Poppy and Shay have found their other half and engaged to be married. Brett and his other sister Mac carry scars of past loves that hurt them and they have both closed off their hearts. Brett also carries mental scars from being in Afghanistan. So although he has been eying Angelica Rodriguez all summer, he believes she is way out of his league. He ...more

This is Book 3 in a series but can be read as a standalone; however, I strongly encourage you to read all of the books. They are all wonderful! In this book, we meet Brett Walker...and, wow....just wow! He is quite a fella....brash, argumentative, kind, soft hearted, loyal and a royal pain in the derrier at times! And now he has found his perfect match in Angelica. She is sweet, tough as nails and persistent as they come. She is a great match for the "never going to get married" Brett! Each of t ...more

Angelica has been tormenting Brett all summer. Brett is a landscaper & is not about to give in. After all, Angelica is a spoiled, rich, pampered princess & isn't really interested in him. Brett is sure she just wants to go slumming. He's determined to resist their chemistry.

One Night is another great read by author, Christie Ridgway. One Night is book 3 in the One and Only series about The Walker family. In this book, we the reader are introduced to the characters of Brett Walker, mountain man landscaper and Angelica Rodriguez. These two characters come from opposite sides of the spectrum. Angelica was raised with wealthy parents and Brett was raised by very hardworking parents. Their lives are about to change. Angelica's world has just been turned upside down by a ...more

A contemporary romance that conjures Harlequin tropes of old: the masterful brute and the innocent sweetheart.

What Worked:
- ‘It takes a village’ and I love novels that use an entire community’s worth of characters to help tell the story.
- The setting: mountain villages really are exclusive, and the insiders are a different cut than the outsiders.
- The Kyle/Glory sub-plot. Truth be told, I was more invested in them than in Brett/Angelica.
- The hints about Zan and Mac’s relationship and upcomi

I loved the characters in this book! There were actually two different romantic relationships in this book. The main one is that of Angelica and Brett. Angelica has been hurt by the actions of her super wealthy father who has schemed people out of their investments and is basically hiding from the press and regrouping in the mountains. Mountain man landscaper Brett has been attracted to her in the past, but doesn't trust any woman. When he discovers Angelica has been sleeping in her car, his pro ...more

The perfect follow up to “One Look” and “One Kiss”. Brett Walker is the lone male sibling in the Walker clan and he takes his duties as big brother seriously. He is intrigued by newcomer Angelica Rodriguez, who has found a safe haven among the Walkers. He wants Angelique, but is fighting the attraction due to issues from his past. One Night by Christie Ridgway is book three in her One and Only. This is actually a revised version of her book Can't Fight This Feeling with extra scenes added. This is Brett Walker and Angelica Rodriguez’s story. Brett has struggled since returning from his enlistment but believes it is his duty to protect Blue Arrow Lake. Angelica might have been raised in a wealthy family but with her father’s legal problems, she has no money to her name. Brett and Angelica are so good together and I loved t ...more

Loved this book! This was Brett and Angelica's story. Brett Walker had a landscaping business and he tended to Angelica's Dad's lawn around their mansion on the lake. Angelica found herself homeless and penniless when her dad, and investor, was arrested for stealing from his clients and herself. After learning she was sleeping in her car, Mac, Brett's sister gave her a job with her cleaning service and let her stay in the cabin next to Brett's which led to fireworks. This was a well-written, sweet, fun book. Angelica's father has swindled her savings away, and now she just wants a place where she can belong, find a job and make friends. Brett has two sisters who are about to get married, but he's not ready to commit to any woman - especially Angelica, a visitor to the mountain area he calls home. Then one of his sisters gives her a job and his other sister says she can stay at the family cabins, making her his next door neighbor. There is also a mystery invo ...more

This was not my favorite of the series, but it was still a good read and it is written by Christie Ridgway, so I automatically wanted to read it.

Brett is closed off and kind of a jerk. Angelica is determined, proud and down on her luck. The connection sparks between them, but Brett fights it at every turn. He has a preconceived notion of Angelica and it takes him forever to change his mind. It took me a bit to warm up to Angelica, but she grew on me. I really wanted them to work out an

I love this series. Each of the Walker children are a bit alike but also are unique. Brett is more cynical than his sisters and is distrustful of love. Enter Angelica, who reminds us to not believe what we see on the surface of a person. She comes off as a person who has had everything go her way, but couldn't be further from the truth. Both have been hurt by people they loved. In this installment of the series, both Brett and Angelica are able to put the hurts from their past aside and build a ...more

This is Book 3 in the One & Only series. It was previously published as Can’t Fight This Feeling in the Cabin Fever series. It has been updated. I honestly didn’t feel as though I was rereading this book. The updates are seamless.

Brett Walker is a landscaper at Blue Arrow Lake and he enjoys the peace and quiet that he has found there. He has no interest in a relationship especially with a city girl and isn’t shy about letting everyone know.

Angelica was living a privileged lifestyle until her dad’s actions changed everything. Needing to get away she heads to Blue Arrow Lake as she enjoyed it as a child so that she can try and rebuild her life.

This is book #3 in the One & Only series.  Angel goes to the mountains where she spent her summers because of what her father did and his name/face being on the news.  She needs to get away from it all.  Brett has 2 sisters getting married and they want him to be happy and find love, too.  Both Angel and Brett came from different backgrounds.  How can these 2 find love together?  They do have something in common...they both have been hurt by someone they loved.

Angelica has lost everything; her home, her life savings, her family relationships and any friends she might have had. She's been alone for a while, but most of the locals of Blue Arrow Lake have been very welcoming.
Brett doesn't want to like Angelica. He thinks she's an incredibly beautiful, spoiled princess that will leave once winter comes. Brett has had enough drama with 'flatlanders' to last him a lifetime and he's not going to risk his heart on Angelica when she's clearly a flight risk.

How is it that two people who have nothing in common fit together so perfectly? Perhaps, it's because they share a common bond. Betrayal by the person they held most dear. One Night relates the careful rebuilding of broken trust, shattered dreams and the merging of two souls. Angelica's plight is one of surprising strength. This seemingly pampered rich girl is left twisting in the wind when heartbreaking truths come to light. Now it's up to her to discover what she's capable of and whom to trust ...more

This was a great book. It was and emotional journey of two people coming from different back grounds and life styles finding they have more in common than their preconcieved notions. My heart was rooting for Angelica and Brett and rooting for the back ground characters too. The Walker clan will be a weclome addition to my book shelf and e-reader. Having not read the previous books in this series. This book can be read as a stand alone.

I read an advanced copy for and open and honest review.
