In the shifter world, one rule holds true; you reap what you sow.

Shae underestimated El Oso, the tyrannical leader of the Order. Now, banished, flightless and living on the dangerous edge of the shifter world, she finds it impossible to pursue her one goal, finding and freeing her father. Without the support of her friends, who are torn by loyalty to their families, Sh

Shae is banished from the shifter world, along with Roman, and her dad is in the hands of El Oso, the powerful berzerken bear shifter who apparently has magic. But Shae can't do anything to help, not as long as she wears the collar that keeps her from shifting, and she has no idea how to get it off.

So she settles into farm life with her friends and mother and brother, but there's more to the little town she's in, and she's determined to find out exactly what's going on.

Shae desperately wants to

I took a break between reading Remnants and Harvest, and was afraid I won’t be able to remember enough details to avoid struggles in getting back to the story.
Nothing like that happened. I slipped easily back into the plot, remembering almost everything what happened to the characters in the previous two books. Now that Roman and Shae are banished, Shae’s dad is in El Oso’s hands and her family is on the run, the life gets a darker shade for her. Losing the ability to shift, severing the contact

Melle Amade has managed to continue book 3 seamlessly, as if I had just turned over the page from the end of book 2.
In this one we find our favourite characters but meet a whole bunch more, which added another layer and depth to the continuation of the story.
The new characters were easily identifiable and came with there own storylines that only enhanced the storyline, but never took you completely away from the original problems Shae and her friends and family are fighting for. I have found in

What happened?

I get the what happened... but this entire book was riddled with errors and plot inconsistencies. I started to wonder if my copy was missing chapters. Although they were at a safe house, why was Shae no longer concerned about being outed as a dove? What about not sharing that she had unlocked her ability to shift back and forth between s dove and a raven? Although I get the Pomos were introduced to further the plot along, when did Zane and Cooper become accepted/allowed into the gr

I really loved this story having read the first 2 in the series. It was nice to see the characters get a chance to find some peace and a chance to grow up and figure out who they are or who they want to be before more action happens to them. Not much action happens in this novel compared to the others so if you are looking for the same fast paced suspense, you will be disappointed. However, it does set up a lot of potential action for the final novel in the series so there is a lot here to take ...more

This series keeps getting better

Shae is constantly learning new things about herself and growing. Her friends are adjusting to the new situation away from Topanga, and new friends are made. The Pimps are proud , string and powerful with Earth magic. I am ready for the next installment.

The Shifter Chronicles is a great series, and I'm happy to report that The Harvest only improves things. Great - and well written - plot. Great writing and great lead and supporting characters (friend and foe). It's hard for a series' third book to retain all the magic of the prior books but somehow Mel Amade manages to pull it off.

Highly recommended.

Full Review at: What's Beyond Forks?

Things are changing quickly in the shifter world, and the characters are going crazy trying to catch up. Well, I don't know that changing is the proper word, because things have always been kind of strange for them, but they are definitely more serious. Especially for Shae. This is all still pretty new for her, and I'm really enjoying how her character is adapting. Lives are on the line in a big way. We get to meet several new characters as well, and they all

4 Cranky Stars

In this installment of the Shifter Chronicles we see Shae and her friends living on the fringes of shifter society. They have landed themselves in some hot water with El Oso and Shae and Roman find themselves collared which is basically a death sentence. They are living on a ranch with Zans family tending to animals and living in a barn. They discover a family of shifters living nearby and they find out things about themselves and this family they never thought possible.
