Catching the Cowgirl is book three in the Cotton Creek series by Jennie Marts.

Adam Clark designs video games. He and his two best friends started a business right out of college and developed one of the most popular video games around. They believe that for the game to be authentic, they have to experience the world they are trying to create. Their latest game will be centered in the Wild West. So, they make reservations to spend a week at a dude ranch in Colorado to experience the life of a cow
Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Catching the Cowgirl by Jennie Marts is fish out of water story and the fact that it was the hero that wasn’t use to the outdoors and ranch life and the heroine was determined to help him enjoy the beauty the outside world has to offer made it all the better. Nerd meets nature in this fun, sweet, and thoroughly entertaining contemporary romance.

Adam Clark is an engineer, video game designer, and part owner of a very successful video game company and he’s out of his comfort zone at the Hawk’s Rid
Apologies to anyone who read my review on 24 July 2017. Due to stupidity I posted the review of another book (which also featured cowboys and opposites attract) here by mistake!

The premise was good, it was kind of a reversal of all those city girl goes to the country and meets a cowboy novels.

Adam Clark is a Californian video game designer = geek. He and his fellow designers believe in authenticity for their games and their latest idea involves the Wild West so they have booked a break at Cowboy
It took me a little while to get into this novel. It felt a little too cheesy at first and it took me awhile to connect with the characters. They felt a little cardboard until I was probably 20% into the book. And then the cheesiness mellowed out and the characters began to come together for me. All in all, I think this was a sweet romance with an interesting story. I liked how the author put together the video game aspect of the story next to the cowboy/ranch aspect. I love the opposites attrac ...more

Loved this book! It's sweet, fun, and full of charm! Skye is struggling to raise her son and run a dude ranch and is barely keeping her head above water. Adam is a video game designer that co-owns his company with his two best friends. As part of the prep for their next game, the three friends are meeting a dude ranch to spend a week learning about it so they can inject realism into the game. However, the most appealing thing about the ranch is its proprietress, Skye, who makes him feel like a t ...more
I absolutely loved this book. It's everything you want in a book and more. It's so well written and Jennie paints a beautiful picture of not just the characters but living on a ranch in Colorado as well.

Skye owns a dude ranch in Colorado, coming home at nine months pregnant and living there since she took over after her father died. Her son now 13 is growing up and things change. People come and spend a week on the ranch to get the experience of what it's like. Adam is a game developer, when he

I was looking for a fun and swoony romance when I started reading Catching the Cowgirl. That's exactly what I found, too. Bonus? It gave me a little bit of the small town, country vibe that I needed in my life, too.

I really liked both Adam and Skye. He was smart and swoony. She was strong and determined and pretty much kicked butt. I've read my fair share of country/city romances, but I think this is the first where the guy was from the city. I
The Book Junkie Reads . . .
My journey back to Cotton Creek brings me to Skye, a dude ranch owner and single mom, and Adam, the city slicker that wants an authentic western experience as a research project for work. Adam never expected to get so much more than answers to his research. This was a light, fun, and entertaining read. The bonding between Cody and Adam was just a bonus. Children have a way of making the read a bit more entertaining. But Cody was not your ordinary child. He was a pre-teen and there was so much mo ...more

I loved this book from the first page and found it to be a fun, romantic read. Skye is running a dude ranch and raising her son on her own. Adam co-owns a video game company with two of his friends. Because of the development of a new video game, they end up doing research at the dude ranch that Skye manages. She quickly makes the men feel like teenagers, not business owners, who are far from their comfort zones. This book is about family, friends, love, hope and determination. Even though this ...more

In a world that thrives on speed, it's easy for a person to get lost in the shuffle. With Catching the Cowgirl, Jennie Marts delivers an important piece of advice with a light heart and a fun time. Catching the Cowgirl is a sweet, cute read. Skye is a single mom with a 12 year old son who runs a dude ranch in Colorado that's barely making it. When one of her guests turns out to be a hot computer nerd from California, all the sudden she's feeling things for a guy that she hasn't felt in a long time. But, can two people from different worlds really make a relationship work?

The technical boring stuff: This is technically book three of the Cotton Creek series but it completely stands alone – you do not have to read the previous books in order to enjoy this one and it DOES NOT end on a cliffhanger. There is minimal cursing and some mild sexual content but nothing that is overly graphic.

This book is a really great addition to the Cotton Creek series. Adam was a bit of a hot mess as he tried to adjust to ranch life even though he was so far out of his depth that it wa

Catching the Cowgirl (Cotton Creek Romance) by Jennie Marts
This is video game designer Adam Clark and single mom cowgirl Skye Hawkins' story.

Wow! Wow! I couldn't put this book down once I started. This book has it all. A sweet, sensual, and fun romance with a little mystery. I fell in love with Adam and Skye's characters. Skye's son Cody and the other supporting characters were a great addition to the story too. I loved how Cody and Adam hit it off. They were great together.

Romance Between The Sheets
CATCHING THE COWGIRL was a sweet and funny romantic read, and I loved Adam and Skye. Skye is hardworking, strong and independent, but that also means she can be very stubborn at times. Adam is so easy to like because he’s sweet, geeky and a little bit awkward, but in an endearing way. He always knows exactly what to say to Skye to make her heart melt, because everything he says comes from the heart.

CATCHING THE COWGIRL is the third book in the Cotton Creek series and, while it’s part of a series

Perfect addition to the Cotton Creek series! I have read the whole Cotton Creek series, and after a cute park ranger and a hot fly fisherman, I couldn't wait to see what this next story held. And it was worth the wait! This romantic comedy had it all! What a fun idea to have a western romance theme with the heroine as the cowgirl! But don't worry--Adam Clark is still completely swoon-worthy with his black shock of bangs, sexy glasses, hard abs, and a killer grin. I totally fell for this engineer ...more

Adam Clark and his friends are determined to make sure the new video game they're looking to create has an authentic feel to it, and what better way than experiencing a Western adventure. However, Adam finds himself at the Cowboy Camp alone because his friends get tied up with work, which means spending time with single mom Skye Hawkins. Will Adam be able to convince Skye that he's a man she can trust, or will the fact that they live in two different states be the reason that both of them walk a

“You strode into my life in your cowboy boots and snug jeans and turned everything I know on its head.”

If you're anything like me—as in, a fan of sweet, light-hearted romance—then Catching the Cowgirl and the Cotton Creek series are definitely books to check out. Jennie Marts has such a charming way of writing, and her stories, like that of Adam and Skye, are happy, flirty and fun.

Easy to read. Easy to enjoy.

First of all this book was given to me as an arc book for my honest review thanks Entangled Publishing.

This is a quick short read only 162 pages and I loved every one of them . Skye the heroine is a single mother to a 12 year old son Cody and runs a dude ranch in Colorado. She does not trust men after being left by Cody's father. The ranch she owns and runs is struggling.

Adam, a video game designer, knows that authenticity matters, and to ensure his game has it, he and his partners sign up for Cowboy Camp. *It's exactly like it sounds. LOL* However, the others never show, leaving Adam alone, and out of his element. There is one bright spot though.

Skye, a single mom and owner of the ranch, works her butt off. She's trying to save the family's dude ranch, all while being both parents to her child. Skye, knowing her schedule does not allow for any free time, has av

It wasn't until I finished the book that I found out that this book was a third in a series so that goes to say that this book is standalone and with how this book turned out I'll be sure to check out the other books.

I can honestly say I really enjoyed the book, I manged to finish this book quickly. I pretty much spent the who day reading it. I usually have a soft spot for westerns, cowboy types of book. I haven't come across the pov of a cowgirl character though and it was an interesting change

City comes to country and fall in love in Catching the Cowgirl by Jennie Marts. This is par for the Cotton Creek Series of which this is book three. I loved watching Adam experience the ranch lifestyle when he is so obviously out of his element. He is so endearing of a character, I think I fell for him when he stepped off the bus. Skye was a harder sell though as a person she would be the type I would want as a friend. While I understood her wariness, she misjudged Adam more than once which I ha ...more

Adam is a workaholic computer gaming nerd, a partner in a successful business based in California, whilst Skye is a single mom working the family dude ranch in Colorado. He hates getting dirty (and whilst he lives near the ocean and enjoys the sounds from his window, he never goes on the beach) and if it wasn't for the office gym would never get any exercise. She is the outdoors type; running a ranch, horse riding, hiking, camping etc. Two polar opposites and yet, they

I like that the author just dives into the story, it is fast paced and easy to read.
This book has a little bit of everything. A perfect combination of sexy, funny and drama.
