As with the first two books in this series, there's plenty of action and suspense as the big bad is finally revealed. Georgia has grown on me throughout this series and I've enjoyed watching the character develop and grow as the story has progressed. With impending motherhood, she's finally reached a level of maturity. She still has quite the temper, and often acts when she should plan, but she shows just how strong she is in this final book. With more power than even she knows she has, she stil ...more

This is the last book in the series and I am sad it is finished. I really enjoyed it so much, I was drawn in right from the first couple of paragraphs of the first book. The ending of this last book is really exciting and has not let the series down. There is some sadness but mostly it is happy and very romantic. There is a glimpse of a possibility for some of the other characters to have their own stories if the author decides to consider it? I would love that because I think they are interestin ...more

I stayed up way past my bedtime finishing this one! What a perfect ending to the trilogy. Vampires, demons, witches, angels and Nephilim (and some hybrid’s), oh my! This book gives us lots of answers, but in a kick ass, full of action way. There is death, birth, heartache, spells and more. Don’t miss the final instalment. I'm sad to be leaving Georgia and Zak, but can't wait for the promised spin offs (and yes, please please please write a book about JB!). I am voluntarily reviewing the book Fir ...more

Georgia is a witch-vampire hybrid and in book 3 everything comes together and also ends. I cried while reading this book, it's always an excellent sign if I cry, that shows emotional attachment with the characters in the book. The characters have come alive. I haven't yet read the first two, but so loved this book, the storyline & characters come alive and enriched the reading of it. It's a must read, I highly recommend this book.

This series is pretty cool, and I've really enjoyed Georgia's story as of late. She's pregnant in this newest installment, and after everything that she and Zak have been through, you'd think they could catch a breather or two and have easy sailing the whole way through. Wrong. Instead the stakes for keeping their baby safe have risen, and with every new discovery of Zak's past, it's beginning to look like they just may never

First Blade (#1) - Well-written, interesting characters, story draws you in, the fight scenes believable and exciting. Only complaint - sometimes the vulgar language wasn't necessary; yes, the main character has a few issues, but you're in her corner. I read this book, and First Witch, in one sitting. Get First Witch, it surpasses First Blade.

First Witch (#2) is better than First Blade, which is a good, standalone book, too. A standalone continuation from FB, just as well-written, full of intere

First Blood (Awakening Series Book 3)

How could you not fall in love with this beautiful woman Georgia and her man Zac?!?! Their love story is epic, and one that is one that every woman, man ever dreams of in their lifetime, now add a crazy prophecy to it and then see exactly what love does to you....
In this page turner, thrill seeking book each page is an adventure, while I cried and was heartbroken in some parts, I don’t want to spoil it for you, I have to say, I couldn’t put this book down...

First Blood

Awesome!!! This book is so good, there really are not any words to totally describe it. Georgia and Zak's baby, Jelly Bean, won't let them see if it is a boy or girl or the heart beat when Georgia has ultrasounds done. Zak has to wipe their minds clean and all info on the computers. They believe it is a girl so that is how they refer to the baby. If you read the book before this, you read about Georgia getting the powers of a lot of witches just before she kills the witch hunter. Thei

This book is choc full of action, suspense and some great twists!
I really enjoyed the fact it could be read as a stand alone book even though it is the last book in a 3 nook series as the past is touched on in a way that not too much time is spent on it but you get the picture. Georgia may be pregnant but is still a very tough and determined person and nothing is going to stop her having her baby and living happily ever after with Jelly Bean and Zak. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Zak and

A Fantasy ending to an absolute 5-star series!
Everything a reader is looking for Hinchy has provided!
One elementally and dysfunctionally challenged family - of chosen not blood - who will have you laughing, crying and overall in love with them
One evil and twisted antagonist - and when it is revealed who it is - never would have even thought possible
One tiny little jelly bean of an HEA and a few other possible HEA's in the future (hint to Jane Hinchey)
Of the series, this was quite possibly the to

Totally enjoying this series and it appears Georgia and Zac will finally get their happily ever after although it is not going to be smooth sailing for this pair. Georgia has quite a few nasty demons and one very determined Nephilim after her trying to make sure her baby is never born as it will be a very powerful witch. Skye, Georgia sister is also in for some heartbreak. Zac is finding it difficult to let Georgia do her job, he loves her so much and just wants to protect her but someone has be ...more

Whoa... what a ride... feel like I've been through the literal wringer. Started this book at 7:00 a.m. and couldn't put it down. Finished this book at 11:00 a.m. and still have tingles going up and down my spine. What a wild ride its been with this series. Georgia and Zak have dealt with pain and loss and now everything seems like it should be smooth sailing, however, there's a small problem. An evil angel of all things is making it very hard for our two heros to live happily ever after...and th ...more

Witches, vampires, angels, demons, birth, death, all mixed in to this last book in the trilogy. It was an enjoyable read and it wraps up the series nicely. Questions from the earlier books are resolved and the loose ends tied up. Georgia and Zak's story is complete but Jane Hinchey is thinking of writing about some of the other characters which should be interesting. If you have read First Blade and First Witch, this book will make more sense but it can be read as a standalone.

If you haven't read the previous two books then the blurb for this and probably most reviews will give away a good bit of spoilers.
This was a sweet conclusion to the trilogy, and it was so cute seeing jelly beans personality even from the womb. I really liked how in this book Georgia wasn't wimpy anymore like the second book. She was strong, determined, and active in her own defense. Learning more about Zak's past was a great new facet too in this book. I absolutely loved this conclusion.

Since this is the third book out of a series I wasn't sure if I can start with this one and still get the story. Jane told me others did so I started and got caught in the story immediately. Georgia is a witch who's pregnant from her partner Zak, a hybrid (part angel and part vampire). When they discover that two of the witches of her coven went missing, the story begins with their search for them. They overcome demons and nephilims before they discover who's behind it all: Ronin. I won't spoil ...more

Eureka!!! At last the penultimate showdown between Zak/Georgia and the big bad has arrived!! Throw in a super powerful in utero baby, pregnancy hormones, a witch or two, prophecy revealed, memories returned.... and you have one amazing book! Angels and vampires and witches oh my!! If you haven't read "FIRST BLADE" and "FIRST WITCH" do NOT pass go, rewind and read them first or you will be completely lost. Trust me it's well worth reading them all!! This is the last book in the series and am sad to see the stories of Georgia and Zak end. I Loved the nickname Jelly Bean for the baby !!! It was so adorable reading Georgia talking to the baby and the baby responding. Even though the author stated at the end of the book she has spin off stories set maybe for Rys and for Skye, I hope she has one in the simi-future where we see "Jelly Bean" grown up a little more and just how powerful the child is. I received a free copy of this book and voluntee ...more

This is the third book in the series. A good book with a couple of twist some of the good and some bad. I always feel so soory for Georgias sister she has to endure so much. Zak is his usually overprotective self put a baby in the mix and this goes overboard.
Lots of action per usual, a bit of spell casting and funny jabs. Enjoyed this book a lot

I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review, but everything I write is my own opinion.

Mixed feelings on this book as I enjoyed the entire series and Zak and Georgia's relationship throughout. First off it had a great ending to the series and seemed to answer all my questions from previous books. It also made me cry at times because the secondary characters were so well done. I enjoyed this series enough that I hated to see it end even if it was well done. I received and ARC from the author and am giving my voluntary honest review.

This book series has a pretty good story line. The stories read like a young adult novels..and honestly would be perfect for young adults if the Sex Scenes weren't so inappropriate...way too vivid.

This is the conclusion to the Awakening series.
There is plenty of action with Zak and Georgia.
I haven't read the first 2 books in the series, and I strongly
recommend that you read the whole series as it will make more sense.
Hopefully there will be more spinoff books of some of the other characters.
A must read.

Fantastic ending to a powerful series!

I have followed Georgia's and Zak's tremendous love story from beginning to this wonderful last book, First Blood. Exciting plot that has remained constant through the series. A love stronger than the universe that is completed by a witchey bundle of joy.

First Blood (ARC) by Jane Hinchey: ***** I loved it - great series finale!
Another winner with a great wrap up to the series! Georgia continues her bad a$$ alpha ways with the love of her life, alpha bad a$$ Zak. Lots of fast paced action, suspense/danger, love/romance, and a fantastic HEA. Disclosure: I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book.

Super fantastic. What a shame, it's the last book of the series. I enjoyed it immensely. Just couldn't put it down. The good thing is I can still get more books in the future for this author. Received an ARC.
