Favorite Quotes:

“We’re a team, right?” She couldn’t help but smile. “That’s us, one of the great detective couples. Like Nick and Nora.” He mugged a face. “More like Bonnie and Clyde.”

I swear, when it comes to women, Tucker doesn’t have the good sense of a rock.

My Review:

This book was 90% mystery/suspense and 10% slow building romance as the couple didn’t lock lips until 60% into the book and only indulged in one sizzling sensual encounter of knocking the boots at 80%. So my elderly mother could

The prodigal Cahill is back—and ready to confess, but I just have a feeling that there is going to be someone who really, really doesn't like that idea. I've always liked a good prodigal returns tale, but this plot was thin and made of swiss cheese.

Tucker Cahill disappeared from Gilt Edge, Montana, right after graduating from high school nineteen years ago. His family hasn't h

I am a huge fan of romantic suspense. Especially when there’s a page turning mystery involved. Few authors can bring these elements together as well as BJ Daniels. For me, she’s right up there with Sandra Brown, Delores Fossen, and Linda Lael Miller. Like these authors, Ms. Daniels is a sheer genius at flawlessly weaving romance and suspense into a fabulous whodunit that has me anxiously turning the pages and second guessing every character that comes into play.

This is an enthralling romantic suspense, one where the focus is possibly more on the suspense than the romance, though both have significant roles to play in the story. Whilst it is the fifth book in a series, I believe it works well as a standalone.

When he was seventeen, Tucker Cahill left his home and family and hasn’t been home or in contact with any of them since then, which is more than eighteen years ago . When the body of a young woman turns up near a creek by his family’s r

Hero's Return is the fifth book in the Cahill Ranch series. In this one the missing brother, Tucker, has finally come bask to town after almost twenty years. The skeleton of a woman has been found in the creek and Tucker may have the answer to the identity of the woman.

The book was an OK read for me. I think I had the same issues as I did with the other two from the series that I have read. After this third book,I can see that this author's books just aren't my cup of tea. The mystery

Ms. Daniels does it again. She brings a god story with good characters. Tucker and Kate were personable and engaging. Although, I must admit that the chemistry between them was a bit lackluster. This is one of those times where the actually mystery surrounding Tucker and his past took center stage. The romance was more on the back burner. In fact, there was hardly any action between these two until the last third of the story. Although, I was a little disappointed in the lack of romance, it was ...more

Author B.J. Daniels does not disappoint with this romantic suspense. Hero's Return is book #3 in this series and is filled with tension and mystery. A superb read that kept me up way past my regular bookworm hours.
Tucker and Kate were written in such a way that they almost felt real. Conversations and situations flowed freely making this quick even paced book that me as a reader did not want to put down...sadly my husband wanted dinner and we needed clean clothes, so I had no other choice, LOL!

If you enjoy romantic suspense and the blurb intrigued you, don’t hesitate for a moment to pick up HERO’S RETURN because it is sensational!

It had started like any other day for Sheriff Flint Cahill, until human skeletal remains were discovered nearby and a package was delivered at the ranch for his brother Tucker, who had not set foot in town for nineteen years. Until that very day. News of the gruesome discovery had reached Tucker, and he could not stay away because he had never forgotten the l
Gripping western romantic suspense!

He’d never doubted he would return – he just hadn’t expected it to take nineteen years.

No one writes western romantic suspense like B.J. Daniels. She proves it once again with Hero’s Return, the latest installment in her Montana Cahills’ series chronicling Tucker Cahill’s return home after going AWOL nineteen years ago when he was seventeen. No one has heard from or of him since - until human skeletal remains of a young woman are unearthed aside a creek near h

This series just keeps on getting better and better, and Hero's Return is my favorite so far. I'm a fan of romantic suspense and Ms. Daniels added quite a murder mystery to the mix with this novel, with the return of the prodigal Cahill son, Tucker, and it gets 4.5 stars from this reader.

Where do I even begin to describe this novel without giving any spoilers? Well, here goes. Tucker Cahill, a 17-year old high school senior disappeared from the Cahill Ranch one night and no one has heard from hi

Those of us who read the first books in the Cahill Ranch Series knew that eventually Tucker Cahill would return. We didn’t know why he left, where he was or what he was doing. The title of the book sort of leads us to believe that Tucker is coming back and the prologue gives us just enough of a glimpse of his past that the book becomes one you cannot put down.

Hooray for BJ Daniels’ ability to spin a perfect story with a twist and a turn every step of the way. I agree with another reviewer that t

I loved this story! The Cahills are among my favorite fictional families! I've been waiting for Tucker's story because in the previous books in this series, he is mentioned in all of them but isn't present because he left the family & the town 19 years previous and we have no idea why! Way to whet our appetite, B.J.!!!! The first chapter drew me in immediately and I was swept away into a fantastic fictional suspense! Nobody does it better that B. J. Daniels in my opinion! Let's start with my rating, a solid 4 out of 5 stars. I'm only knocking it down because Kate's revenge and her lack of a plan kind of annoyed me. Tucker had the most right to be outraged and he was level headed and calm about the entire thing.

The book starts off giving us a tragic beginning of a young woman, presumably holding a baby, jumps off a bridge and that's it. Fast forward several years later and a woman's bones are discovered in a river bank, which spurs Tucker to face his pas

Flint also has a big role in here being he is the police too. You get a glimpse into the past then fast forward to present. Then in comes Tucker with us the reader really hunkering down for some answers. More of Billie Dee's story is also in this one with you getting some questions forming along with some good outcomes. Part of the Montana Cahills series, in which we get to know Tucker Cahill, who left town and his family 19 years earlier, following what he thought was the drowning of a young woman with whom he was in love. He's back now, just in time to learn that a skeleton has been found near the site where she fell off the bridge that night long ago.

Also arriving in little Gilt Edge, MT, is Kate Rothschild, daughter of a political mover and shaker, whose brother committed suicide, presumably because of the

I received an ARC copy via NetGalley and the Publisher for an honest review. I then went to Wal-Mart upon release and purchased the paperback.

This is not the first, nor will it be the last B.J. Daniels book I read or purchase. Her stories filled with angst. Heros who are regular people doing the right thing, but somehow get caught in the middle and heroines who have big hearts.

This book is not any different. It will keep you guessing from beginning to the very end. But of course, those of you w

Tucker Cahill is home and he brings with him a whole lot of trouble. There’s a reason why he left and people don’t want him back. This book has to be my favorite of the Cahill’s Ranch series so far and that’s hard to say since I’ve loved them all. I was in for the ride and thought I might be in the front seat but as the story goes on I realized I was in the 3 row seat of a mini van. That is how good this story was woven.
