BECKONED: slow-burn, women's fiction inspired by food, travel, and Jane Austen set in Barcelona and London.
He would do anything for a second chance…
Fire and ice have nothing on Angela Holguín and fellow MBA student Soren Lund. When they first met at school in the exciting, seaside city of Barcelona, Angela was intrigued by the aloof Dane; he was enthralled by the vivacious Californian. But their timing was off and they went their separate ways—until Fate and Destiny put them back in the same city: London.
In the British capital, Angela and Soren not only reunite, their desire reignites. This time they are determined not to let love slip through their fingers. Despite the many obstacles posed by others, they tumble into one another’s arms and embark upon a passionate journey in the chic, bustling streets of London. But when Angela’s ex shows up, will their new romance be strong enough to persevere? To whom will Angela’s heart beckon?
"Aviva Vaughn's debut will sweep you off your feet. BECKONED is a vibrant, sensual story about longing and second chances. Get ready to fall in love." -Mia Hopkins, Award-Winning Author of the Cowboy Cocktail and Kings of California series
If I could curl up all day in a springy velvet armchair, a crackling fire in front of me, and a book over my lap, I'd be in heaven! Alas, my ass would flatten to a pancake and I'd starve, so I do get up from time to time!
I am the author of diverse, slow burn contemporary romance and romcom.
My completed series, BECKONED is slow burn, second-chance, contemporary romance inspired by food, travel, and Jane Austen. I often describe BECKONED as "a modern story told in an old-fashioned way," where the characters are complicated, and smart, and the sex is explicit because I like accurate details whether I’m describing a setting, a meal, or a romantic encounter.
My second series is the Love in Action series of standalone romantic comedies. "Love on the Ropes" is out now, smartURL.it/LoveOnTheRopes.
HERE's my "bio": Aviva loves to bring diverse, inspiring, sex positive characters to life. She believes consent is a must, condoms are sexy, food is culture, and travel is mind-expanding. Avocado toast, coconut lattes, and Korean spas are her favorite indulgences, and she is a die-hard Angeleno. A voracious reader, you can find a list of her favorite books at avivavaughn.com/about
Aviva Vaughn’s debut is a breath of fresh air, delivering adventure, travel, food, and of course, romance.
The attraction between MBA candidates Angela Holquin and Soren Lund is immediate. However, because of lack of communication, there are missed opportunities. Both can’t seem to follow through with the attraction, completely unaware of one another’s intentions. And this lingers for a good portion of the novel. Moreover, this makes for a delicious contemporary version of a Jane Austen novel. Yes, Jane Austen.
With Barcelona and London as settings, we’re taken on a wonderful adventure. It’s evident Ms. Vaughn spent a great deal of time in these cities, writing with such great detail, I feel like I’ve spent the past few hours in both faraway places. I can still smell some of the food she had described.
This wonderful debut is a delicious SLOW BURN and I'm already anticipating book two.
Aviva’s writing is beautiful, reminding me of some of my favorite classic writers.

Beckoned, Part 1: From London with Love by Aviva Vaughn • Love from Afar What a great start to a series. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down until I finished it, I had to find out what was next. I would love to travel and see all the things these characters do. I felt as though I was right there along for the ride beside them. You could feel the emotion while reading.... If you like steamy romances then you gotta read this book. But be forewarned..... You'll be waiting to read Book 2 too! Sometimes you get a second chance, it's how you handle that second chance that matters. Now that Angela is visiting London will Soren finally tell her how he feels..... And will Angela tell Soren her feelings? You'll have to read Beckoned, Part 1: From London with Love to find out! I'd love to write more, but I don't want to give away the story. I enjoyed reading this story. I cannot wait for the 2nd book Beckoned Part 2: From Bath with Love to be released July 2017. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via IndieSage for an honest blog tour review. Favorite Passages ~ • “I didn’t want to wake-up because I thought your kisses were the most beautiful dream I’d ever had, and I didn’t want it to end.” • “You only get one chance at setting the tone for a relationship, and this is our chance.”
I found myself stealing away to read this book. Every moment I could grab it and get a few more pages in, I took it! The love story was so tantalizing. The lovers, Angela and Soren, have incredible chemistry and the love scenes are so erotic. The settings are so vivid, I felt like I was truly in Barcelona and London. Made me long to be there.
Beckoned, Part 1: From London with Love by Aviva Vaughn is the first book in her series. This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. Her writing style makes her story easy reading. She made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. Her characters are connectable and engaging. They took me on a few twists and turns that I didn't see coming. They also took me through an emotional roller coaster ride of various emotions including compassion. This is a story about a woman who reunites with a man who are forced to deal with their feelings for each other. Angela is a MBA student who is on exchange for another business school in Barcelona for the semester. She meets a group of other students, one of which is Soren. The were interested in each other but their timing is off and they go their separate ways. Then Angela finds herself in London for the summer. This is where they get to reunite, what will happen this time around? Will they finally get to react to their attraction to each other? They are put through many obstacles by life and others around them, they still seemed to manage to spend time together. What will happen when Angela's past shows up? How strong is their relationship? Will they lose each other again? I enjoyed both of these characters. Angela is a strong, smart, lives her life with no regrets. Soren kind of is a different character, more like a certain time he can seem like two different people. One minute sincere and the next more like a jerk. But he has compassion and romantic side to him that I fell in love with. These two have great chemistry together. I kept hoping that fate would allow them to finally let them be together. The other secondary characters in this story were just as enjoyable and connectable. They help make the story flow into the interesting book it is. I highly recommend this book. Find out if fate will finally allow these two admit their true feelings for each other.

From the summary, I had a feeling I would love this book. And I wasn’t disappointed. It had a very modern day Jane Austen pace to it. Love the international stage it is set in and the characters. There is natural ebb and flow to the plot development. The characters have obvious flaws, some that definitely follow some established cultural stereotypes. But overall just loved this book. Cannot wait to continue reading the series.
Can I just say this is my first book by Aviva Vaughn, and I am hooked by the way, but I absolutely love the way she can develop strong and vibrant characters. I knew it would be a perfect fit for me once I read the authors profile. Hello… she writes in the style of Jane Austin! And you can totally see that she can take a character and mold them to the type of characters that you would see in your favorite Jane Austin books.
This is the first book in the From London with Love series, and it’s an amazing start to what I am positive will be a wonderful series that will capture a lot of women readers and their attention. In this book we watch the travels and adventures of Angela Houlgian and Soren Lund unfold. I felt as if I was on the journey with them and loved every minute of it.
When they tried a hand at romance together the first time things just didn’t work out for the two. Both were at different points in their lives, but now fate want to give them a second chance to spark the romance between the two. The romance between them becomes a slow burn and one that will leave you cheering for them to find a happy ending together. Of course there is some obstacles they will have to overcome together in their travels. What will happen when Angela’s ex pops back into the picture for a bit? Will their whirlwind romance survive the stress that can put on a new romance?
If you like to read about faraway places, amazing food, culture, second chances, and romance, this is the book for you! I can’t wait to sit down and devour the second book.

Beckoned: Part 1 From London with Love By Aviva Vaughn 5 Stars
Beckoned, Part 1: From London with Love by Aviva Vaughn is the first installment of the Beckoned series. This is the story of Angela Holguin and her reunion with a college mate that she has feelings for. Angela is a college exchange student pursuing her MBA in Business in Barcelona for one semester. Before her fall term, she meets a group of men which she will forge friendships with during her time in Barcelona. One particular male of the group grabs her attention, Soren Lund. Soren is into Angela but he tends to be very introverted and can’t quite speak his feelings for her. The semester ends and Angela goes back to the states after holiday vacation in Switzerland. Fast forward, Angela is in London visiting one of her friends from college. While speaking to him, she finds out Soren is in London. Will Angela and Soren reunited after they went their separate ways without saying how they felt about one another? Will Soren finally have the courage to tell Angela how he really feels about her? Many situations will be put in their to try to keep apart, but will they be able to avoid those situations and spend time together? Angela and Soren are complete opposites. Angela is extroverted and independent while Soren is introverted and hard to show his feelings. But as the saying goes, opposites attract. This is my first read by Aviva Vaughn and I enjoyed reading this book. The characters are true to life and relatable. The scenes from the book, especially Barcelona, take me back to when I went to Barcelona. Aviva has an affinity for writing very detail information about locations that make you feel like you are there. I look forward to reading he next installment of the Beckoned series
What a great book! And to think that this is only the first in the series! “Beckoned, From London with Love,” by Aviva Vaughn is one of the best written books I have read in a very long time. In this book we follow Angela, an aspiring entrepreneur from Los Angeles who is taking a semester abroad in Barcelona. There she meets a number of wonderful characters but the only one that sparks anything inside her is Soren. Soren is a finance major from Copenhagen who coincidentally is studying at the same school in Barcelona as Angela. For Soren, it was love at first sight. Quite captured with Angela he quietly gets to know her more and more and in the end loses his opportunity to declare anything to her. Angela decides that since Soren is not showing any interest in her that she would date someone else. That person is Thomas. Thomas is from Edinburgh and also in the same classes as Angela and Soren. So in the end Angela starts dating Thomas…that is until the semester ends and she goes back to LA. The best part of this book is the author’s ability to describe everything to the very detail so that we don’t miss an opportunity to feel like we are a part of the story and to be able to feel like we are one of the characters at that moment. This book does not have any super sexy scenes except for those of Angela’s imagination. This book is just the first in the series so I don’t believe that it truly needed those scenes. The questions remain…Does Angela stay with Thomas after she goes back to LA and Does Soren ever get his opportunity to declare is attraction for Angela? I guess we will get to find out when we read the second book in the series because Angela’s adventures are not over just yet! I can’t wait to read book two!
Beckoned Part 1: From London With Love by Aviva Vaughn is part one of her four book series. As the first book I have read by this author I was blown away by how much I enjoyed this book. It follows the tale of Angela and Soren, two people who fall for each other when they first meet but learn all about bad timings. Unable to make things work they go their separate ways. But what happens when, years later, they find themselves yet again in the same city. With fate playing such a hand it is obvious they are meant to be together. Determined to make it work they overcome obstacle after obstacle. But when Angela’s ex turns up it could well prove to be one obstacle too many. Is there a way for them to be together? Will they ever find their place in time? Or will they always be fated to have to love and leave each other? I really enjoyed this book. I loved how it spanned over a number of years and didn’t all take place within a short space of time. I loved how you could tell their chemistry was there at each meeting - from the first to when they met again in London. I also really enjoyed that this book was based on Europe - first Barcelona and and then London. Being from the UK myself it was a refreshing change to see these places utilised, instead of reading about somewhere else in America. This is a book I very much enjoyed and I am going to dive straight in to the rest of this series.
A vacation in a book! Beckoned Part 1: From London with Love by Aviva Vaughn is the first book in this series. I love when I can find a new series to read and better yet a new author to love. From Barcelona to London we learn about Angela and Soren, who meet when they are young. Fast forward and they meet again. Is putting these two together twice in one life time fate? You can tell that there is chemistry between them because it leaps off the pages at you. The one thing I did really like is that it felt like an actual relationship, not just a jump right in and become a couple. I felt like I was traveling abroad when I was reading this book. I can tell the author put a lot of thought into the scenery of the story and that only adds to the story. Now I have two more places on my bucket list that I need to visit. This author kept the story flowing, putting in a few unexpected twists to the story. Also, there was so much emotion in this story. I had so many emotions when I read this story, I kept coming back for more. I cannot wait to read the next book in this amazing series.
Beckoned was a great 5 star read. This is Part 1 of a 4 part series.
This is a great love story between Angela and Soren. After meeting the first time in Barcelona and going separate ways, fate steps in and these two meet again in London.
Angela was easy to connect with I really liked her. Soren took some time to grow on me, he had some rough edges to him and could be a jerk at times. I ended up loving him by the time I got to the end. The chemistry was off the charts between these two.
Will these two get the HEA they desire?
There are some unexpected twist and turns and the secondary characters were great. There is so much more to this great story but I don’t want to give too much away. Aviva Vaughn has done a great job with her debut book. This is my first read from her and I was pulled right in and couldn’t put it down until I was done. You get romance, adventure and so much more. This is a great 2nd chance romance with some very steamy scenes. I am on edge and anxious for the next book in the series.
Beckoned: From London is the first part of a new “Beckoned” series and is also the debut novel by Aviva Vaughn. This book is a slow-burn, contemporary women’s fiction story- full of vibrant and vivid descriptions of travel, adventure, food, longing, second chances, and romance. I loved Ms. Vaughn’s attention to detail, and the way she used her words to bring Barcelona, London and all the wonderful descriptions to life. This is a great story, and Ms. Vaughn has certainly made an impression on me. I was captivated by Angela and Soren and really enjoyed following them through this story. The book has a great pace and a smooth flow. It has the feel of a ‘classic’ read, like a Jane Austin novel. The writers style was very easy to read and made me want to turn the pages to find out what would happen. The adventures are set to continue in the next book- which I will definitely be reading.
Well written and highly entertaining. This book is out of my comfort zone because I don't normally read steamy romances but I enjoyed reading it. Love the characters and their interaction. Completely head over heels for Soren. Angela kind of annoyed me most of the book but somehow, didn't mind her too much when Soren was around.
If you like steamy romance, playful flirting, and vivid imagery then this is the book fot you. Check it out!
Beckoned : From London with Love by Aviva Vaughn is part 1 of a 4 part series.
I enjoyed reading this book. At times, I wanted to just shake the characters and tell them to wake up and smell the roses!
It all started in Barcelona, Spain towards the end of the Summer. Soren Lund spotted Angela Holguin sitting on the brick steps of The Temple. He knew right away that she was the exchange student from California that all the male students were talking about.
He was immediately attracted to her but, he is very shy and only likes to talk to her one - on - one. When it's a large group he feels like he has to compete for her attention. Soren and Angela meet quite often and get time to talk just the two of them. Angela is also attracted to Soren but, neither seems to make a move.
Angela starts seeing someone else but, she's only there for a semester anyway. What will happen the following Summer when she visits London. She goes because the guy she is seeing invites her but, she isn't really into him much. She goes because she loves to travel. When she gets to London, a bunch of students from Barcelona are there and she tries to get everyone together. The only person who makes time for her is Soren.
What happens when these two get together after wanting eachother for almost a year. Will Angela be able to act on her feelings since she is there in London staying with Thomas?
I didn't like Thomas from the beginning. Some parts of the book were annoying. Especially when Thomas was speaking because of the weird way he talks.
This story is filled with travel, romance drama, and plot twist. Most of all sexual frustration. This story is set in the steamy exotically romantic city of Barcelona. At the MBA college, there were students from all over come to learn at a higher level for business. The men outnumber the women at least five to one. Which is less compared to the states. So, Angela Holguin, from Los Angeles, California was a huge hit. Being that she was a vivacious five-foot four ball of energy, high on life, always with a smile, kind word, and a gorgeous combination of Latin and Chinese didn’t hurt either. She was already second-year last semester. At the end of summer, she would be gone. There was a new set of students to arrive soon but the summer session was still on so the schedule was more flexible. So, Angela and her friend Charlene, African-American, also from the USA hung out with a really cool group of guys for lunch. They were all friends of Marco. He was friend Angela had met who was from Italy. One of the guys was Soren Lund who had seen Angel on his way to Spanish class. She was laughing with her friend over something but the way she was so carefree and easy about it touched him in a way no one ever has. Being from Denmark they are a very reserved bunch. Never really showing emotion outwardly. They are not ones to show outward signs of affection. When he was finally introduced to Angela he was a school boy. He was tongue tied, awkward, and an introvert. Angela liked him right off and really wanted to get to know him. Especially, when everyone after lunch walks over to the coffee shop but he followed her to the temple steps instead. You see she doesn’t drink coffee so she chooses to sit outdoors in the shade. Although, Soren like coffee he chooses talking to her than having his fix. This goes on for a whole month where they meet there where they have uninterrupted talk for at least a half hour. Then regular semester starts then nothing. Angela is very frustrated. She is torn between a guy by the name of Thomas, a Scott, who she finds out that may or may not have a drinking problem after her first date. Or pining over Soren who just like to watch her from afar when the group goes out dancing and he and Charlene don’t like to dance so they just watch. Who will be the man? Why does she need any of them? I loved the characters who are well developed and strong in personality. This I know because they do get a rise out of me that is for sure. I just didn’t understand why she seemed like such a strong independent woman who traveled the world. Yet, put up with such crap from someone who showed poor judgment. It’s like you have all these years of college and you can’t tell when someone pulling the wool over on you? Then, she has one of the characters that is a tease he’s a tease till the end giving you no closure for either of them. The descriptions of the area and what the characters were seeing and doing were great. I knew when I was given the book by the author that it was four parts. My problem is it didn’t feel like a standalone, it felt like a "to be continued" book. I just felt like I was left with more questions than answers. So, for that, I am giving it 4 stars. Beckoned, Part 1: From London with Love by Aviva Vaughn is the first book in her series Beckoned, and what a fantastic opener. Following the story of Angela and Soren, we are given a look into their lives and how their first meeting was filled with chemistry and heat. Meeting for the first time in business school during a semester abroad. Throughout the entire story, both characters have flash backs to that semester together, but the transitions were easy to follow and weren't overdone. Both Angela and Soren are incredibly intelligent and the chemistry between them can't be denied. But life kept taking them into different directions, so while it felt wrong, these young lovers go their own separate ways. When fate intervenes, Soren and Angela find themselves in London together, they find themselves together again, and find the heat and chemistry between them has only gotten hotter. But can that chemistry last? Will the differences between them be things they can overcome or will these two lovebirds be doomed to be nothing more than a European love affair? Vaughn is a new to me author, but this book was a great debut for me. The rest of this series is available but it is definitely something that needs to be read in order. If you are looking for a great book with some unique twists than this is the book and author for you.
Beckoned Part One: From London With Love Aviva Vaughn 4 Star Rating
I’m really excited to read the Beckoned series by Aviva Vaughn, the first installment was really strong and engaging. I was drawn by the synopsis but really more intrigued by the note from the author on the kindle book description before I purchased. I feel like the author’s intentions of a classy, well written book with strong characters really shines through. I enjoyed both Angela and Soren and the tension between them coupled with the trouble of timing really made for a realistic read. I loved that the story incorporated both of the main character’s point of views and we are able to follow their story entirely from their first encounter. I also enjoyed the settings and felt like I could picture myself there with my good friends, which the characters felt like in a few scenarios throughout the storyline. I’m really looking forward to seeing what more there is for Angela and Soren and I’m excited to see where the Beckoned series goes.
Beckoned, Part One: From London with love By Aviva Vaughn 4 stars
I really enjoyed this book and I have to say I am totally in love with the front cover! It caught my eye straight away and I don’t usually take much notice of them. I thought that this was a fantastic debut novel for this author. Her writing was really good and my interest was kept throughout. I really liked the characters I felt a good connection with them. Angela and Soren were really interesting to read about it was obvious that there was this simmering attraction between them but it wasn’t acted upon for the most part. When I finished the book I actually realised how perfect this was for the two characters. I was really struck by the beautiful writing of this author and it seems obvious that she knows the places that she has written about well, her descriptions are brilliant and I could really visualise what I was reading. I definitely cannot wait to read the next part of this series!
I loved the rocking chair idea. Collecting memories so when you're old you have tales to spin for grandchildren and memories to keep you company. Angela is on a quest for as many rocking chair moments as she can get. What's the best way to do that then study in another country?
This is a second chance romance with the first meeting in Barcelona and again in London. I love to travel and eat so the details in these books makes me ready to hop on a plane! The recipe at the end was a nice touch.
Angela is fun although someone that definitely plays by the rules, you've got to be in you're going for an MBA. Soren is a little rougher around the edges. I adored Angela but never fully got on board with Soren. I can't deny that they have great chemistry.. it was just something about him that never set quite right with me. I do love a good slow burn though and theirs was excellent!
Can't wait to see where part 2 takes them (both geographically and romantically!)
Beckoned, Part 1: From London with Love by Aviva Vaughn is the first book in her series. This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed all parts of the plot. I never like time jumps/lapses but it worked and flowed really well. Angela is a MBA student who is on exchange for another business school in Barcelona for the semester, while there she meets Soren and immediately you can sense the connections the two have with each other even though Soren comes off more silent and brooding. Again yes this story time jumps but it wasn’t a significant amount and it feeds into the overall story. The author made sure not to be excessive on her time lapse scenes and she also ensured we walk away with a whole story. It’s a bit hard to go into much more without giving away vital details to the story. I look forward to reading the rest of this series and new books by the author in general.
Beckoned Part 1: From London with Love – Aviva Vaughn
4-star review
Beckoned Part 1: From London with Love by Aviva Vaughn is a truly beautiful start to an unforgettable romance! It’s a story that had me feeling so many emotions from disappointment, frustration, anger, and love just to name a few. It felt as if I were there right alongside these characters as they were so easy to relate and connect with. Aviva did a great job with this book, the story flowed really well, and I loved how we got to read both past and present moments, this way it felt like no detail was left unwritten.
From the beginning I felt invested in Angela’s story, the anticipation of wondering how everything was all going to play out was killing me, I just had to read this book in one sitting. I absolutely love how this one ended, and I can’t wait to read part 2 of their story asap. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next romance read!
Beckoned, Part 1: From London with Love is the first book in the Beckoned series by Aviva Vaughn. And what a great start for Ms. Vaughn. Beckoned tells the love story of Angela and Soren. They met when they were both in Barcelona but went in different ways, till fate brought them back together in London. Angela and Soren have a second change at romance. Their romance starts slow, but you will be cheering for these two as they slowly kindle a relationship. Will Angela's Ex who come back in the picture ruin the chance for the relationship between Angela and Soren?
Aviva Vaughn writes with such descriptiveness that you feel for the characters and you feel like you are with them on their travels. Her writing flowed and you will be engaged from the first word to the last. She has included many twists and turns that you will not be expecting. Be prepared for the emotional roller coaster ride you will be taken on. I cannot wait to read Part 2 in the series!
Beckoned, Part 1: From London with Love is the first book in the Beckoned series by Aviva Vaughn. This is the first book I have read by this author, but definitely won’t be my last. This book had me hooked from the beginning to end. I was caught off guard by some of the twists and turns, which I love when I’m kept guessing. The characters are relatable and made me feel like I was part of the story. Angela and Soren’s story started in Barcelona where the timing wasn’t quite right for this couple, and who would have thought they would meet again in London. There chemistry is off the charts, but when an ex shows up will that put a rift in their relationship? This book was full of feels and had me on an emotional roller coaster. I really enjoyed the progression of their relationship. I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to the next installment in this series.
Beckoned was exactly what it described itself as. Slow burn women’s fiction. Angela and Soren meet on an MBA exchange in the beautiful city of Barcelona. They immediately like each other but are never sure of the other’s feelings so they miss their opportunities to be together. When fate hands them a card and they are reunited in London some years later, they take the chance they hadn’t before. But can love always have a happy ending? I enjoyed this book but if I had not read the synopsis I think I would have thought it was a bit slow. The time it takes to get to know the individual characters is great and the setting of major European cities was fab too. As someone who had the experience of a year abroad I really identified with Angela and some of the things she was wanting out of her year in Barcelona. Overall a good read for a lazy day.
Beckoned is the first book in a four-part series. This is the first book I have read by Aviva Vaughn, this book is an easy read and I loved every page of it. This book is a love story of Angela and Soren, these two first meet while in Barcelona at business school, but they ended up going there own separate ways after school. As it would happen fate has had them cross paths again while Angela is in London for work. This story has a number of unexpected twists and turns throughout. The story is written where all the character within the book were amazing, I couldn't put it down. I don't want to say too much as I might give some good parts away, but I can honestly say I can't wait for part two in the series, but hey don't take my word for it go and grab yourself a copy and see for yourself. Happy Reading
I give 5 stars to BECKONED, Part One: From London With Love written by Aviva Vaughn.
This is a first for myself from this author and I wasn't disappointed, I was absolutely captured by the description of the whole series.
This is a beautifully written romance full of love and second chances, I found it perfect for a lazy sunday read.
Angela Holguin and Soren Lund met whilst in school in Barcelona, even tho both like each other, unspoken words had a lasting effect and they parted ways. Many years later the have a chance meeting in London and with feelings and emotions still as strong as they were many years ago will they both finally be able to have their second chance?
I love how this book is told from both POV and some of the scenes will knock your socks off, this is a series that will capture you and pull you in until the very last page.
Having just finished “Beckoned, Part 1” I’m a bit lost for words! Aviva Vaughn does such an incredible job of detailing the locations of this book! The story starts (after a brief look forward) in Spain, transporting the reader to Barcelona where we meet the vivacious Angela and her classmates at Barcelona Instituto de Negocios or BIN. BIN is Spain’s most prestigious business school and draws students from all over the world. One of my favorite parts about that is all of the interesting characters that we get to meet from all over. Angela’s story is lengthy and I can’t wait to dive more into her life and her budding romance with a former classmate. I won’t give away many details but the author truly weaves a beautiful story of love and travel and I can’t wait to read the next part of this story! I give “Beckoned, Part 1: From London with Love” by Aviva Vaughn FIVE stars!! Loved it!!
Beckoned Part 1: From London with Love by Aviva Vaughn Stars: 4 This story is the first part of Angela’s and Soren’s story. This is a second chance love story that I enjoyed reading. Angela loves to travel and is an independent. Soren is more reserved, but is willing to have his actions speak for him. I loved the chemistry that they have together! I cannot wait to read bow their story ends, and how they continue to grow as a couple and as independent characters.
I feel that Aviva Vaughn accomplished exactly what she wanted to do with this book. I absolutely love the note she wrote to the readers. I also love that she added a playlist at the end. This helped me further understand the mood of the chapter. I also think that it was great for her to leave a recipe at the end of the book. These are just a few examples of Aviva’s attention to detail that I really appreciated.
