Bruised
Everyone says Wynn is bad news, but from the moment he came upon me crying, he's been nothing but good to me. He took me home, comforted me... and he took me to bed. Which I technically shouldn't have done, but the kindness he showed me makes me wish for something I've never had before. I'm afraid to tell him the truth though like I'm afraid to tell everyone the truth. The whole stipulation of my abusive relationship is to keep it a secret, and no matter how much I want to get away, it's hard to talk about something I've had to keep quiet about for so long. They say Wynn doesn't have a heart, but I know it's not true. I know Wynn has a big heart, he's just protecting it well-and maybe, just maybe, he can help me out of my unbearable situation before it turns violent.

Kasey and Wynn
Two opposites and very compatible. They fit like a glove.
Kasey is a shy and silent guy, silent because of force. His violent 'straight for the world' boyfriend Alistair, slaps all of his expressions out. He can't go anywhere else. So for the time being he tries to stay...until he can get out...and maybe soon....
After a rejection to a dance education Kasey sits outside his job as bartender at the club and can only cry...sinking to the ground...and cry.
A kind voice ask 'what's wrong' when he looks up there is looming above him his 'very scary' boss Wynn.
Everyone is afraid of Wynn because they only see what they want to see.
Wynn....big...full of tattoos and piercings.... Wynn is the kindest person Kasey ever met....he takes Kasey with him to his home....and Kasey never leaves....
We get to meet a very potent Wynn.... and Kasey didn't know a connection between two people could be that lovely, caring and hot....after only been used as just 'a hole' for others fun purposes....
Kasey learns a lot from Wynn and we get a glimpse about Wynn's background...because there is a lot to tell....
We also get to meet some family members and....Alistair....
The writing was smooth...the building up good...I was happy to read after the story was finished there will be more....so both personalities and the story will be more developed.
This one was from Kasey's pov and the next will be from Wynn's and there will be more...
Very excited about this because... I'm so not done with these guys...

What to say?
We have 3 % of story plot and 97% of sex. So, its not a good reading material, if you asking me.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Now let me just start off with how easily the cover drew me in. Let's face it, I'm not usually a sucker for covers but this one, it wasn't just because the model was hot, there was something in his eyes. Like dark secrets. Then I started to read the blurb, and that was all she wrote. I wanted a taste of this of and oooh boy did I get what exactly what I was looking for!
I wouldn't call this an angst-y novel. Yes Kasey turned out to have a dark secret. He was in an abusive relationship and this book didn't start off the way books usually started off. It started off right in what felt like the middle of the action. Kasey found himself in a worsening situation and he felt there was no way out, BUT, good people do have a habit of showing up when you need them most. I would know. From personal experience.
Now that good person happened to be Wynn. The one pretty much everyone felt a need to stay away from. I even had that feeling that Wynn was the kind of person best kept at a distance. Of course, like everyone else in the story, I was wrong. From the moment Wynn appeared on page, you could tell just by looking back at how deeply he cared about Kasey. It was endearing! How could anyone not like Wynn for that?
Wynn was kind of like a teddy bear, but for Kasey.
Oh my dear sweet Kasey. T.T. Kove really got it right. Those who have been in abusive relationships, all I can say is T.T. Kove got it right, but Kasey was far from being broken. I won't say too much else out of worry of posting spoilers. Trust me, I really really really want to. I can't help but gush! But for the sake of potentially ruining anything for a fellow reader, I wont!!
I loved each and every scene. None of it felt too drawn out. Though I did find myself confused not knowing this was part of a book series. Some of the characters mentioned, I had to look them up, but that didn't take my enjoyment away from this book. This my first time reading anything by this author. If anything, it only made me thirst for more T.T. Kove servings. Oh my god am I thirsty for more these other men!
All in all, I can brag about how I read this whole book in one day. Sure there were still a few breaks in between to absorb it all, but I couldn't put it off for long. Well done T.T. Kove! Looking forward to reading more of your works!

Bruised is the first book in the Bruised series by author T.T. Kove. This book is told from Kasey's point of view.
Kasey is a victim of a lot of abuse in this book. He sticks it out for love. He is in desperate need of someone to lend him strength so he can stand on his own two feet. Big heart that his abuser takes full advantage of.
Wynn is the club owner where Kasey bar tends. He has piercings and a record. One would think he would be the one to stay away from. That could not be further from the truth. He is kind to a fault and knows Kasey needs him. He is patient and he is strong.
I loved this book. Great angst, great love, and super great connection. Wynn is amazing I could not wait to know more about him. Kasey is stronger than he thinks too. I would love to know more so I would love for there to be more to this series. Over all the story arc is well done and very believable.
I would love to read more in this series in the future.

This was a sob story - one of those where one of the characters suffers so that the reader is forced to sympathize and want them to find happiness and when they do, the reader is happy with them.
But some sob stories are pathetic and some, like this one, actually speak to you.
I do not know how or why but this sob story really worked for me. And worked on me. It was supposed to be too much but it was actually nice - I am not a big fan of tears (that makes me sound heartless =D) in characters, sometimes more so in guys (which is weird) but for some reason, here it was okay!
Yeah, it went too smoothly, the drama was more internal and in the past, their relationship was quite insta-love and they knew it but again, there is no reason not to use these clishes - IF you can make them work, as this book did.

Bruised is the first book of T.T. Kove I've read and I have to say I was not disappointed at all. It had everything I wanted to see in a M/M romace book. The main characters were adorable! Kasey is the sweet emotional guy who has so much love in him and tortured by an abusive ex, while Wynn is the knight who saves him, heals him and fights for him. The chemistry between them was beautiful and their relationship was so romantic that I just couldn't stop reading it till the end. And of course a happy and satisfying ending was waiting in the end, because what's the point in a romantic story with no happy ending? I totally believe that this book is a must-read for all those who love romantic M/M romace and I will definitely go for the rest for the series!

You'll want to enjoy the small community of supportive friends and relatives that show what family is really all about.
You'll want to hug Wynn and encourage him to keep doing what he's doing.
You'll want to tell Kian, Adam and Silver it isn't their fault.
You'll want to read more and be happy for Kian and Silver's relationship...hoping Wynn and Kasey can duplicate it or improve on it.
You'll want to go to London and watch the HEA in personal.
You'll be looking forward to the rest of the series just like I am!

I loved this story especially with the addition of part 3. The first 2 parts are from Kasey POV who is down on his luck but Wynn offers him a hand. When these 2 characters are alone their chemistry shoots straight from 0 to 100. the whole story takes place within a small amount of time but the bond between them is so strong that they jump in to the deep end. Part 3 was from Wynn's POV mostly and we get his perspective on things and how he and Kasey will compromise together to get through the good and bad times together.

This book is set in London, UK and falls into the same universe as Scarred, Broken, etc. You first met Kasey in Inked (he was ten years old there... Quite a bit older now!) and you met Wynn in Broken and Tangled; he's Chad's best friend. Here's their story! :D

T.T. Kove has done it again.
This is one pov and there will be others with the different povs.
This is well written and flows so well. I like how there wasn't much build up to the story. You kind of get straight into it. I liked seeing other characters in amongst the writing.
This book opens up some hard topics just like T.T.Koves other books. But they are done so well. I will definitely be looking out for the next book. And I would recommend this book to everyone.

I just don't care for books where one or both of the MC's are very young. In the blurb here you don't get the idea of one of these MC's are young. But as I began reading it and his story unfolded, you got the sense that he was very young, like maybe late teens or early 20's. So, I just sort of checked out mentally at that point.
I really do enjoy this author's books usually. So, I don't want to discourage anyone from reading this one. I'm 45 years old and over the last 5 years or so I have found that my taste in books has changed. I prefer stories with MC's in their late 30's and up because I guess I can relate to them more. Also, I just can't deal with the way most authors write young MC's. They are always bratty and create unnecessary angst. That does NOT happen here though. This author created a young MC that was really well thought out, so that wasn't my reason for not finishing it. I just can't relate to MC's that age. So, this is on me.
The plot and storyline was one that I really am interested in, and wish I would have found myself sucked in by it.
So, please don't let my not finishing it deter you in any way. Give it a try for yourselves.
