Peter is a fallen angel, condemned to walk the earth stripped of most of his angelic powers as punishment for his sins against God. Armageddon is at hand and Peter feels he must save humans from the demons who are somehow getting out of hell. Peter wants redemption so he can return to heaven to be with the other angels. He has lived on earth for centuries, watched all his friends and loved ones die. Somewhere in his long lifetime he decides if he battles the evil of the world, maybe God will forgive him, and let him come home.
Claudius a young man who doesn't have memory of his past before he was in an orphanage. He is adopted by a man who serves the Dark Lord, but Claudius has a mind of his own and a good heart to go with it. He cannot see how his father condones the slaughter of innocent people. He knows it isn't right so he turns away from all he has been taught.
I came into this tale expecting a mediocre story, but I admit when I am wrong. I usually read very fast, but purposely slowed down my pace so that I could enjoy this tale of Angels fighting Demons to keep humanity safe. The characters are so well written and described in detail. Every Angel and Demon has their own special powers and weaponry.
I saw this tale compared to Dante's Inferno, which I have read, and of the two, this story excited me, pleased my senses, and brought great emotion. The only flaw I saw in this book were editing mistakes and in no way reflect on the author. It appears there is going to be a sequel and I can't wait to read more.
The cover of this book is beautiful, not just on the front as one might expect, the back cover is just as well done so my thanks to Lulu the publisher of this wonderful, thrilling tale. I can see the great imagination of the author shining on every page. If I had judged this book by the cover I would have said, Oh this looks like it might be good. Judging it by what between the cover I found magic, the kind that keeps you spellbound and every chapter was more exciting then the last. I felt exhilarated, energy flowed through me like being hit by lightning, but it was good lightning. I loved it so much I am sorry it's over.

A great read! Hellbound follows Peter and Claudius, two seemingly strangers, who find out they share a lot more in common than they realized initially. Peter is a fallen Angel with a past he would soon want to forget and is bent on redemption, trying to do good deeds with hopes of one day returning to heaven. Claudius on the other hand does not remember anything of his past and is hell bent on trying to fill in the pieces all the while begrudgedly, doing not so saintly deeds for his adopted father.

The author of this tale takes you on a dark journey through the eyes of both these lead characters. Aside from minor hiccups throughout the book due to poor editing, you will not be able to put it down as you will have to know what happens next.

From beginning to end, this book brings non stop action. If you are looking to escape into a compelling story pitting good versus evil with some interesting turns in between, this is the title for you.

This novel is about good and evil. About angels and demons. Is a fantasy. I really like to escape in the fantasy world once in a while to distract from reality. This story might have done the trick but for the violence and war. If you like the angel and demon thing you might enjoy this book. Thanks to Goodreads.
