A pass-along companion to Anxious for Nothing that features an 11-week plan to overcome anxiety.
According to one research program, anxiety-related issues are the number one mental health problem among women and are second only to alcohol and drug abuse among men. Stress-related ailments cost the nation $300 billion every year in medical bills and lost productivity. And use of sedative drugs like Xanax and Valium have skyrocketed in the last 15 years. Even students are feeling it. One psychologist reports that the average high school kid today has the same level of anxiety as the average psychiatric patient in the early 1950s. Chances are, you or someone you know seriously struggles with anxiety.
Max writes, "The news about our anxiety is enough to make us anxious.” He knows what it feels like to be overcome by the worries and fear of life, which is why he is dedicated to helping millions of readers take back control of their minds and, as a result, their lives.

You will feel less stressed by listening to this. I listened to the first track initially and then each of the next 11 tracks over the next 11 weeks- listening to the track for a full 7 days before moving on to the next.
It's a quick and easy read like everything I've read by Lucado. I find this book to bed like "living on milk" with very little meat or substantial substance. As some one who struggles with anxiety I found this book to reaffirm what I already do to deal with my own anxiety but little to add to how I deal with it. If you need quick tips and prayers that are scripturally based and have just started your struggle then this little book might be a good starting point. For me it was not.
This book is not what I hoped it to be. As someone that suffers from severe anxiety, knowing to be grateful, rest, pray through things, etc. are all pretty much already a part of my life. I was hoping for something new that I didn’t know about and this book was not it. Nice prayers, easy to read. Other than that, not for me.
This is a great companion to his book 'Anxious for Nothing'. Perfect for refresher for those tough seasons in life that bring on anxiety and worry. I love the scripture references and the prayers used. This is a great series that is timely and relevant for our day and age. I highly recommend this book.
For anyone prone to anxiety this is an excellent book on how you think and respond to life's challenges and God is always the answer going forward everyday
Not A Typical Max Lucado Book I enjoy Max Lucado books, so I was excited when I found this one. However, this is not a traditional book. It is a booklet (only 42 pages). The booklet is designed to be an 11 week guide to help you overcome anxiety and worry. Each chapter has a brief introduction, a verse for reflection, and a sample prayer. Max's advice is sound and biblical, but I miss his great illustrations.
Loved every page of this book and will gladly do it over and over again! Helps me with how I conduct myself daily and how I can cast all my concerns onto my Abba Father, because He care for every minute detail in my life, I need to trust Him so much more...!!! Thank Max for this beautiful action plan book, totally rejuvenating and encouraging!!!
This is written as an eleven-week action plan but I found reading it straight off very useful. As with all Max’s books I expect to read it many more times. If I use it as an eleven week action plan I will review it again, from that perspective.
A great read and a great reminder to put all your trust in him!
A daily reminder that our worries are so small compared to how big God is in our lives. This is a book I go back to often when I need a little extra peace and calm in my life.
This book was very helpful in pointing to the truth of the scriptures. In a sense it makes it seem that we can easily just switch off anxiety, yet in reality it isnt so. But it does give helpful tips on how to prayer and God's words to shift your thoughts of worrying.
Great little book to put things in perspective when you are scrambled with decisions. Think it through. Pray it through. New perspective for me. Pray your worries away.
Max Lucado offers scriptures and prayers that will help you work your way through anxiety. The ultimate goal, of course, is so that you won’t be worried about anything but there is a growth curve.
This is a basic and helpful reminder of how to deal with stress and anxiety. Scriptures throughout and prayers you can use as you experience worry about things. Basic affirmation of what we as believers know to be true

I great little resource that serves as a reminder to live one day at a time and to put your faith in God, the Father, who is always there to keep you safe and help guide you in your way in this world.

Max writes like is in sitting in an easy chair having coffee and visiting with a friend. Things you know but need to reminded of or brought back to your conscious thoughts. Thank You
In these trying times this book is an uplifting inspiration! It’s short yet full of powerful wisdom that will help you I. Staying positive and focused through the storms life brings.
Max Lucado has such a practical, Faith filled way to approach our everyday issues and anxieties. I will refer back to this book often to remind me of God's precious promises.
This was an easy read with well chosen verses. I found it helpful to read over. It is a good reminder God can shoulder all our anxieties, and it encouraged faith.
Typical Max, never disappoints! This daily study targets exactly what we all need to hear and meditate on. You can stretch it out over days or read it all in one sitting. You’ll come away feeling “anxious for nothing.”
There is angst in anxious. We are a human that's always in the state of tense. Why is that? This book helps self help-reader in step by step actions in 11 weeks on how we can improve the quality of our stress and achieve more in life.
This is an 11 week guide but I read it in 3 days since the majority of it didn't pertain to me (anxiety doesn't affect me) It's biblically sound and can help a lot of people experiencing anxiety. Max always writes a good book
