I have read a lot of series lately. There are pros and cons to reading series. Pros are that you get to connect with characters from the other books in the series in the book that you are reading. Cons are that usually the books cannot be read as a stand-alone novel. You have to read the series from the first book to get a handle on the characters and what is happening. Margaret Watson writes with just the right mixture of suspense and romance. This story grabs you at the start and holds you until the end. Her stories have strong character development. The romance builds toward intimacy as the story unfolds. As the reader, you get to know the H/h and feel a connection to them both.

I am loving this series. I highly recommend this book and author!

I received a free copy for an honest, unbiased review.

Julianne worked for CPD internal Affairs . She went to see Luke , A PI, to hire him to help her on a case. As the investigation proceeded he began to realize that she wasn't the cold person he thought she was. working together brought them closer together . Good book.
