Welcome to Club Deep-- the hottest, dirtiest club on the block. And my brand new home. I didn't mean to audition for a job as a GoGo Dancer. It was an accident-- I was only trying to encourage my nervous friend. She's the one who really wanted the job! I guess I made an impression, though... because the club owner hired me on the spot. When I hesitated, he tempted me with a huge salary; WAY more than anyone else. Why is he so interested in me? And what happens when he pulls me off stage and corners me in a dark room?
This is part of the Club Deep series-- all standalone novellas, all set in the naughtiest place around. Feeling daring? Then come on in... P.S. Like my other books, these contain NO cheating, tons of heart throbbing heat, and the best kind of happily ever afters around.
This one was OK. I didn't like it as much as the first book. It basically had no angst or OW/OM drama. The BFF was a bitch and I have NO idea why the heroine catered to her every whim...
”I should stop calling you my little dancer and start calling you my little exhibitionist.” I smile at him. “You can call me whatever you want. Because soon you’ll replace them all with ‘my wife.’”
Man, with each book I’m loving this series even more and more. This one was way hotter than the last one. I feel stupid why I didn’t read this author’s work before. She can write one of the sexiest and erotic scenes. Her writing is bold. The length of the book is perfect. It’s fast-paced, funny, steamy and romantic.
So far, Julian rivers has become by favourite. He was so damn sexy, dominating, understanding, caring and such a filthy dirty talker. He’s one of the owners of the club and meets Libby when she comes with one of her friend.
”Beg me,” he says. “What?” “Beg me to make you come. Beg me to put my tongue inside that sweet pussy of yours. Beg me to suck on your clit until you scream.”
Libby shows up at club deep with her best friend who is auditioning for dancing at the club but ends up getting the job for herself too when she catches Julian’s eyes. I loved how carefree, considerate and bold she was. She was surprised to find that she had an exhibitionist streak in her. I loved how Julian brought it out in her and encouraged her to do whatever she enjoyed.
Again, this one was low on the drama but definitely packed a punch. I enjoyed that Libby and her friend’s friendship worked out. It was low on angst. The chemistry between the two was burning the pages.
I wanted a quick smutty read so I picked this on up on a whim. However the heroine's best friend absolutely ruined this one for me. The hero was too OTT for me as well.
I like this little series that takes place in Club Deep. This quick novella was about a girl who goes to the club with her friend so she can audition to be one of the dancers. She ends up on stage as well, catching the eye of one of the owners, and it's basically history from there.
The heroine realizes not everything is as it seems at Club Deep, and with her relationships so that is the main angst! Of course it's solved pretty quickly, but other than that this is just a very quick and smutty story!
If you haven't read Tease, I would read that and then move on to Spread. Quick, easy, and hot!
Another sexy & single Club Deep owner gets his HEA in this second short & steamy addition to this smuttastic series.
This time the innocent drawn unknowingly into the temptation that the club offers is a dancer, who after a very special form of encouragement & incentive (insert fanning ones self here) takes the job. I mean, who wouldn't...
Mild angst & a character I personally wanted to punch in the face later... and we've got only one single Club Deep owner left.
The only reason this one gets a 3 from me and not a 4 is because of the best friend. I dont understand why Libby was so set on being there for her friend and changing her life to make her friend feel better when her friend was just a big old jealous bitch who needed a slap in the face to start acting like an adult and not a 2 year old throwing a tantrum.....kind of like the tantrum i am throwing now just thinking about her. lol. Honestly, the story was pretty good, hot, sexy and a nice alpha male but the best friend aspect just ruined it for me. Sorry!!
I give this book 5 stars. The storyline between Libby and Julian starts when she goes what her friend to the club for moral support. But Julian hires her when she get on stage to help her friend . This is the 2nd book in this series, a must read.
I loved reading Spread(A Club Deep Story), all about Libby Valentina a dancer & Julian Rivers a partner in Club Deep. Libby goes to Club Deep with her BFF Cosette who is auditioning for a dancer position at the Club! Cosette brings Libby for moral support, and doesn't tell her what the Club is known for! When they get inside Cosette goes up on the stage and starts auditioning, but is having problems, so Libby drops her bag and jumps up on the stage grabs her BFF and they start to dance like they were made for the stage! Guess what they both get the jobs, but Libby turns it down and Cosette goes with the stage manager and does all the paperwork! The author wrote a story about a young women who is intelligent, bright and beautiful and will do anything for her BFF, because she's her only family! Read this story and see what happens with Libby & Julian and of course Cosette!
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The chemistry in this book was off the charts!!! HOT!
Libby goes to Club Deep with her bff Cosette. She has no idea what kind of club it is. Cosette is there to audition for a job. When the audition goes south, Libby jumps in to save her & they both get hired. Enter Julian Rivers, co-owner of Club Deep. He sets his sites on Libby & things get heated! Their connection is steamy & Libby discovers that she likes to live a little wild. They started out as a one nighter that turns into so much more. The book has some back story with Cosette & this brings Julian & Libby's relationship to another level. Club Deep helps you explore your unknown desires and takes you to new heights & Libby discovers what she really likes. Its a quick read but its so HOT!
“Spread” is the second book in Penny Wylder’s Club Deep series . This book is Fast paced and sexy, quick fun read. Libby & Julian are hot together and have you craving more from them. Libby goes to Club Deep with her friend Cosette who wants to audition as a dancer and they both get the job . Libby ends up catching the eye of Julian the owner. Their chemistry is super electric but the BFF ended up being a total jerk and all I can say jealousy is not a pretty thing from certain people. Penny Wylder delivers a great quick read that is filled awesome characters and a fabulous storyline.
My Rating: 4.6 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
Going with her friend to audition to be a dancer at a sex club, Libby finds not only the perfect job, but the perfect man as well. Julian makes all of her wildest dreams come true, on stage and in other places. This book was just as enjoyable to read as the first in the series. It had it all...hot alpha man, great sex scenes and enough of a storyline to keep the reader flipping pages.
The story is alright. Especially for a novella, the pacing and depth aren't bad. But the spelling, grammar, and even wrong words are hard to overlook. This isn't something I would pay for, not without some serious editing. At one point, the author wrote that Julian put on a common instead of a condom. It's very distracting.
Once again Penny Wylder delivers a great quick little read that is filled with a storyline and steamy sex! Keep up the great work and looking forward to future books from you for my reading pleasure!
No physical descriptions of the 2 lead females.$200,000 a year,living in a dump?No messy sex,no anal.She couldn't figure out why people didn't like her - duh!
- Disclaimer: I judge this smut romance book and don't mean any harm or else. If you liked the book don't read my review.
- Read from 09.01.24 until 10.01.24
- I'll give this book 0/5 Stars. - I wish I didn't waste my time with this book. It was so so bad. Bad, TOXIC, stupid.
- Why? She's stupi, a dumb people pleaser, manipulated and doesn't realize it, and helps others maintain their insecurities.
- Thoughts while reading:
- "My entire body lights up like a firework, like going from zero to sixty." 😂🤦♀️ sure, I measure everything with a 1-60 Scala as well, duh🤦♀️😂 - "My nipples are diamond hard pressing into his chest, and I’m suddenly wet. And it’s not just me. Julian is hard. Harder than hard." .... 😒😒😒 has he a cement block in his trousers of what? 🤦♀️ - He pulls her to the edge of the room... just to push her to the middle fight after that? - How is it logical, that from the outside it looked like an abounded building... and from the inside there're supposed to be big windows covering the entire second floor? - "...but if you don’t tell me to stop, if you let me take you, everything is going to change." 🙄 how cliche do you want to be? Julian: yes - "...sucking more of my breast until his mouth is full of it." Ahaaaaa - "I’ve never taken anything like this." ... like what? A cock? She'd said that she'd had Sex before... 🙄 - "...fall into this bright supernova of orgasm one last time while he shouts his own finish.", supernova?! 🙄🙄🙄 man how over the top is the author wanting to be? - "Two hundred thousand.” Her salary... could someone give me that money for continuing reading? Because right now I doubt I want to continue reading tbh. - She has a car... event hough she is has financial difficulties, like thinking about overdrawing her bankaccount with rent...? - "...I’m sweating like a pig..." 🙄 I don't know to whom this is attractive? - She fucked him once. Met him a second time, where THEY ARENT TALKING and she somehow knows : "...I know that I can walk away..."... Yay we have different opinions about that... because he just paid you a 1000$ tip... and it seems like he wants her to do something he wants because he paid her for it ... SHE DOESN'T KNOW HIM... He could be a murderer, a abusive asshole.... - "He’s way too thick for me to take all of him..." and 15 sentences later: "I lower my mouth to the base of his cock..." aha - "...because you’ve told me so much about your life, but never about Cosette.” “Yeah... She’s my family." ?!?! 🙄🙄🙄 - She's so stupid 🙄 like for Real. She has found a job she loves and is good in. Had a boyfriend she likes and they get along great... And know she wants to quit because her best friend is jealous?!?!?!?! That's her friends problem... not hers. - She's such a people pleaser when she realizes after WEEKS someone isn't doing well. - "I’ve been a shitty friend, and I hope that you can forgive me." IS SHE FOR REAL? IS SHE ACTUALLY MEANING THAT?!?!?!? Her friend has a big problem... and she's taking the plame for it? BECAUSE OF A INSECURITY FROM SOMEONE ELSE? 110% Stupi. - She unaware of EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING! How her friend isn't doing good FOR WEEKS. How ALL other dancers are jealous. How she as the ONLY one gets the most tips. How the man she fucks kinda LOVES her... and her response for all of that: "Really, me?" No stupidhead. Your imaginary friend...🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ - And her BEST FREAKING FRIEND still hasn't apologized to her... - Then he offers her a job she has no experience/training etc for... because she's his girlfriend... woww

It's probably surprising that I read this book after my review for the first one, but I wanted to give this series a second chance (and I wanted another quick read). And I actually like this one much more than the first one. I think there was a better connection built between Libby and the reader and Libby and Julian (compared to Andrea and the reader and Andrea and Cole). I think it especially helped that Libby had another person she was interacting with outside of her forming relationship with Julian. There was obviously some tension between her and Cosette and knowing a bit about her history as a dancer definitely helped the reader feel like they knew her a bit better (whereas in the first book you don't even know Andrea's previous job until the very end and you don't really know what she wants out of life ever). I also felt like the connection between Julian and Libby was much more genuine. I could actually see the chemistry between them. And I think having Julian help out with the problem with Cosette helped show a different side of them interacting together besides just sex. Now...my problem with this novella...(if this hadn't played out the way it did, I honestly might have given it four stars). The way Libby handled realizing Cosette had been jealous of her probably their whole lives.... It was so bad. She felt like she was the bad friend and that it was her fault that Cosette felt like she was competing with her and she didn't even really confront it. She just blamed herself, handled it the way that she thought would be best for Cosette and didn't ask her friend to change at all. I honestly feel like Libby and Cosette's friendship could probably improve with some distance between them. But overall I'm just so angry for Libby that she felt like all of this was her fault. The dancers hating her at the club wasn't her fault either (Julian should have controlled himself and not favorited her). I really just wanted her to have it out with Cosette and talk about things because I feel like Cosette probably didn't change at all after this happened... I just wanted that to end better and it frustrated me a lot. I know that's more of the character's feelings than a problem with the writing, but I feel like since it was never really fixed and Libby continued to feel like it was her fault, that's sending a bad message. Libby was absolutely not the shitty friend in this situation.
Overall, I enjoyed this book much, much more than the first one. I think the tension between Cosette and Libby really helped and brining in the 'bad thing' or the conflict sooner (not in the very last chapter with literally 4 pages left, like in the first one) helped it not feel so rushed as well. I will probably read the last one in the series, just to round it all out. Hopefully the next one is at least as good as this one.

Having recently delved into "Spread" by Penny Wylder, I'm left utterly unimpressed and disheartened by the experience. From the promising premise to the execution, this story fell short on all fronts, earning its place as a lackluster addition to the genre.
Let's start with the plot—or lack thereof. Despite the potential for intrigue and conflict, the storyline stumbled along without any real depth or substance. Any attempts at introducing twists or turns were feeble at best, leaving me feeling like I was trudging through a narrative desert, desperately seeking an oasis of excitement.
As for the characters, they were about as engaging as cardboard cutouts. Libby and Julian, the supposed focal points of the story, lacked any semblance of depth or development. Their interactions felt forced and devoid of authenticity, leaving me unable to invest in their so-called "romance."
What's more, the dialogue was painfully contrived and repetitive. Each conversation between Libby and Julian felt like a rehash of the last, with no variation in tone or substance. It was as though I were trapped in a loop, forced to endure the same tired exchanges ad nauseam.
And let's not even get started on the pacing—or lack thereof. "Spread" dragged on at a glacial pace, with no sense of urgency or direction. Even the supposedly intimate moments between the characters felt rushed and superficial, lacking any genuine emotion or passion.
In conclusion, "Spread" was a dismal disappointment. With its lackluster plot, underdeveloped characters, and sluggish pacing, it failed to capture my interest or imagination. Save yourself the agony of slogging through this tedious tale and seek out more fulfilling reads elsewhere.

Wow…Cosette was a b*tch I’m sorry and Libby was a pushover. Like you quit your job just because of her….a job you ACTUALLY LIKED A LOT just because your bff was jealous her whole life of your accomplishments?!?!?!?! Honey that sounds like a personal problem to me get the fuck over yourself Cosette sweetie and if you want something than work hard. Like, how is it Libby’s fault that she was a better dancer or valedictorian in high school and you ditched your own graduatition just because you were jealous? Wtf…. At this point it’s called being obsessed she’s literally jealous of you since kindergarten…that’s not a best friend! What makes you think that in the future she won’t just ditch you because some stupid reason? Like what? If you both want to get pregnant and Libby’s succeed first, then what? She’s going to demand to get an abortion or something because she wants to have kids first? At this point I wouldn’t be suprised honestly…. I would say fuck this and ditch the girl
A sinful little insta-lust story and the perfect size to devour in one sitting! It was surprisingly deep with characters I liked from the start. I love a strong heroine like Libby who goes after what she wants...and what she wants is Julian, one of the owners of Club Deep. Lucky for her, the attraction is mutual and fierce! When Libby accompanies her friend to the club for an audition to dance, she never thought she would also be offered a job....with a salary she can't refuse. Julian likes what he sees and can't wait to get the little dancer alone. I enjoyed this so much and liked that it focused on their interactions with each other, rather than everything going on around them in the club. This is a terrific book if you're in the mood for an erotic little escape!
I really liked Libby and Julian and how they interacted. I could not stand Cosette. Absolutely no evidence she was ever a friend to Libby. I liked the way the interaction between the leads. The hotter scenes left a little to be desired and the over the top attention while on the clock would have caused many more issues. Simple story, well paced and easy to get thru. Not my favorite PW offering, but a short diversion from reality. Received as ARC for honest review.
I liked this story more than tease. Saying that I wish there a little " Tease" from the characters in the previous book just to have that connection but overall the book hit more highs than lows. There wasn't much depth to Julian besides the fact he was rich, super hot and perfect. He had no flaws. There was more character build I will say on the lead female that I liked as the story cont'd on. She grew on me. The sex was hot, outside of that the connection was bland but for it was I wasn't disappointed. 4 stars
If you're looking for a quick, smutty read, then this is for you.
