Not Safe for Work: A Billionaire Menage Novella is by Charlotte Stein.

Amy Elliot has been a personal assistant to Thomas Hartford for a long time and knows him as a stiff, unyielding, follow the rules at all times, man. He has hired an old friend of his, Abel Hernandez, as his new CFO of Hartford Industries. It will be Amy’s job to help Abel to acclimate to his new surroundings.

Abel is everything Tom Hartford is not, uninhibited, passionate, fun loving. And it takes all of two days for the chem

This book was weird. SO SO very weird. These characters spoke like dirty Jane Austin throwbacks. Case in point...

"Hartford shot him an impatient look. “Yes, expected of philanderers and immoral thieves and treacherous blaggards. People who are beyond the pale.”

There was also like ZERO plot and character development and the ending was WTF? I don't even know what else to say. Oh, I do. On a positive note, the sex was hot.

Holy smokes! What a hot diversion!!

If you love your sex hot, fast, and plentiful, then this steamy menage novella is one to grab. Light on the character development but plenty of action to go around, you can get your quickie on with this smoking story.

Good girl with a naughty mind along with current her boss and new boss along with some MMF action, this book leaves you wondering how to get a job like that! HA.

Super hot, but very short. This is my first book by Ms. Stei
I love Stein, so i'm completely biased.
Sissy's Romance Book Review
'Not Safe for Work' by Charlotte Stein is the story of Hartford, Abel and Amy.
Please note that this Novella was once originally published in the"Filthy & Rich" box set.
Amy is Hartford personal assistant and with that there has only been business between them. Hartford I would say is a hard, straitlaced kind of guy. Amy is to meet Abel to show him around the work area. Abel is totally different from Hartford in that he is carefree, outgoing and a rule breaker. Abel and Amy have a instant at
Amy's boss Thomas Hartford is as uptight as they come, he's a stickler for rules and runs his company with an iron fist. When he brings in his best friend Abel as the new CEO Amy's shocked by how different the two men are, where Thomas is stuffy and abhors anything personal getting in the way of business Abel is down to earth, fun and makes his attraction for Amy very clear from the beginning. It's not long before Abel and Amy are a couple but what shocks Amy is that Thomas seems jealous of thei ...more

The title and the blurb are pretty self explanatory in this office romance by the deliciously filthy Charlotte Stein. It's a short novella, originally published as part of the Filthy and Rich anthology, and moves pretty quickly from 'welcome to the company' to 'welcome to the bedroom'. Hartford is the voyeur here as Abel and Amy discover they are sexually compatible while at the office, but they find a way to incorporate him too in their office games. Plenty of sexy scenes for the length of the ...more

I just finished Charlotte Stein's sexting mind trip Way Down Deep, only to get an ARC for her newest novella, Not Safe For Work. It's like Christmas came early, because this little menage nugget is downright filthy and trippy fun.

I'm a big fan of the author but not so much of her earlier menage stories. Her earlier menage stories seemed populated by people unsure of their sexual desires and seemingly ether coerced or apologetic about their sexuality. Not so with Amy, Abel, and Hartford.

This was a quick read. I felt like this novel was a bit stunted. Even for an Erotic novella, there must be a reader/character connection. There must be an understanding of how the character's think and feel so that the relationship feels meant to be. I must say that the ending statement was a HEA that left me satisfied, but I question of it's still enough to feel it's right for the group. While there were many parts that were well written and engaging, I just didn't connect enough to care for th ...more

Amy has been a personal assistant to CEO, Thomas, for quite awhile.  He has rules and he is unbending- a real stick in the mud type. He hires a friend of his, Abel, as his new CFO.  Amy has been tasked with getting Abel up to speed and settled in at the company.

Abel is opposite of Tom in every way- fun loving, care free, and a lusty, hot blooded male. The chemistry is off the charts between he and Amy. They try to fight it, but after a couple of days they give in to their passion.

This was my first and probably ONLY book by Charlotte Stein.

The premise of this book seemed good, like, oh, I want to read this and get my jollies. Unfortunately, it's more like the boring, lacking, shallow playback of an erotic tale. Nothing about this story was sexy. It was like fast forwarding through all the sexy bits just to get the main sexy bit--which I didn't care enough about to read. I stopped reading this book about 20 pages in, and I only got that far because I skipped ahead to see i
Really enjoyed this short novella. It didn't have quite as much neurosis as my favorite Stein stories, but the last line made me laugh out loud, and the whole thing made me smile. I threw all my normal limits (not a fan of the billionaire thing, not a fan of work place romances, especially not a fan when one of the characters (or two, in this case) is the boss...) out the window with this one and just had some fun reading it.

My only complaint was that the book felt unfinished. I wanted to read more about how they made it work especially with all three working together. Did they keep their relationship a secret or did they let it out in the open (in which case how did others react)? How did things work long term?

** ARC received from netgalley **
Charlotte Stein's writing is usually a hit or miss for me, but this one straddles the line. There is not much of a plot, and B+ for the steam factor.

E-ARC is received thanks to the publisher via Netgalley.

It was super hot, but I just couldn't connect with all the characters. Something about Hartford just turned me off totally. Amy and Abel were amazing though. For a fast, smoking read - give it a try.

2 - 2 1/2 stars

Let me start by saying that this wasn't a bad story, I did like some parts of it, but it just wasn't for me. I really enjoy erotica stories, but it has to have an interesting storyline, at least in my opinion. The plot in this story confused me. I didn't understand how someone could go from the guy described in the synopsis, to the unyielding and unbearable boss described in the book, to the guy who the other characters were saying he was, when all I saw was the jerk of a boss. Not Safe for Work by Charlotte Stein is crazy hot. It's a novella, which means it's over way too soon, but wow...Stein sure knows how to pack a punch with this m/m/f menage story.

Normally, I avoid billionaire heroes like the plague, but I adore Stein and was pleased to learn that the billionaire angle is a pretty minor detail here.

Amy is a personal assistant to Hartford, who rules with an iron fist. He's inscrutable--a real stone wall. When Amy has a tryst with Abel--Hartford's CEO and longtime
Holy hot smoking kindles. My kindle is toast, this book was so freaking hot and so well written.
Hartford is a class A jerk to work for and of course he calls in his executive admin to work on a weekend to show the new CFO around. Abel and Hartford go way back and he knows what a tubesteak he can be. So, first thing when Amy gets on the elevator with Abel he starts in on her and these two just about burn down the building. His desk, the chair, the floor, I lost track seriously. But they were roma

Not Safe for Work is high on the steam but low on the actual story or character development, but considering that's a short novella, I'd guess that's appropriate. Amy has been working for Hartford (Tom) long enough that she knows he's a cold, rigid control freak of a man. So when she meets Abel, the new CFO, and he's the opposite of Tom, she can't help but fall into bed with him. But, can they make a relationship work when both of them want the same man, and each other? Of course they can! And t ...more

Quick, erotic read...3.5stars!

Not Safe For Work is a quick read, that started off very hot and sexy. Amy Elliot never dreamed she would be instantly attracted to the new CFO, Abel Gonzalez. He’s a close and long-time friend to Thomas Hardington, her grumpy billionaire boss whose exacting needs in business make him a brilliant businessman but not easy to like.

The chemistry between Amy and Abel are electrifying and they can not resist playing with fire in the workplace which gets Amy into hot wat

This book is the first book of Charlotte Stein’s that I have read. Because of this, I didn’t know what to expect.
Not safe for work is a steamy taboo novella. It is fast paced and full of steamy moments. I struggled to concentrate on this story. I don’t know if it is because I am in a bit of a book funk lately or because I was over tired (I read this book at 4am). There were a handful of times that I was left slightly confused. When I started this novella, it felt like I had missed a huge chunk

If you are looking for a quick hot and steamy read, this is it. When Abel and Amy first meet there aren't just sparks, there are . The kind of flames that can't simply be ignored. Abel is coming on board as the new CFO to the company that his best friend Tom Hartford owns. While working closely with Amy, Abel is unable to control his desires and it turns out Amy isn't capable of holding back either. When the relationship is discovered and Hartford wants to bear witness to what goes on behind clo ...more

What if you know what you want but you don’t know how to ask for it?
Amy is the personal assistant to the straitlaced and rule bound Thomas Hartford. She follows all his rules, some of which are a little quirky: don’t use the word ‘but’, plus the usual office ones: women wear suits, stockings (not pantyhose), and high heels. Then she is asked to show around a new employee, Abel Hernandez, and he drops hints that he knows Hartford very well.
The two have an instant sexual attraction and end up havi

A corporate woman shows her new boss around the office on a weekend, and they end up having sex there. Turns out big boss, the cold humorless type, has cameras installed and saw the whole thing, firing her. . . but not him. Hmmm. Turns out there was an ulterior motive, but in which direction is he jealous?

"I want to read more from this author" that was my first thought when I was finished with this novella. I don't know how it is that I simultaneously feels like I read the best romantic story and the filthiest story ever made. But that's how I feel after reading this novella, the love scenes are insanely hot but also truly romantic. The way she writes makes it seem so intimate and sweet even i

A quick read that has a bit of a twist. It's hard and fast. Thomas Hartford is a rigid man and his subordinates are expected to live by his rigid rules. “Employees must maintain clear boundaries between personal and professional relationships and conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the office…” His assistant Amy has been happy to abide by the boss's requirements until she meets the new CFO Abel Hernandez. Ok so like maybe my expectations for this book were too high? Because I was all "!!!" because I read a ~review that made this seem like ... the penultimate menage romance.
Which honestly? I'd say this is more erotica than erotic romance.
Then also? I liked "Make Me" by Charlotte Stein so much more.

Honestly, I did not like this book. The characters really spoke to each other in odd language. The relationship happened super quick - obviously had to because it was a novella, but then, I did not connect really with any of the characters. And, all of a sudden the men who have been friends forever are going to have some sort of weird relationship? It just did not do it for me. Normally I like ménage stories, but they still have to have some sort
