KALIAN GAINES IS A MAN WITH NOTHING TO LOSE.
Kalian has chosen to travel through the Conclave’s new Starforge and explore what remains of the Terran Empire. This graveyard of worlds holds secrets long forgotten and better left alone. Regardless of the dangers, however, answers must be found and soon.
The threat of the Vanguard looms over the entire Conclave, its purpose; to pave the way for something worse, something ancient. Kalian must adapt and evolve, or risk losing everything in humanity’s battle to not only survive those who seek their extinction, but also their place in the Conclave.
Roland North is carving a bloody trail across the criminal underworld, seeking his own answers. He refuses to believe that Li’ara is gone and, if he must, will maim, torture and kill everyone connected to Protocorps to learn the truth.
The oldest beings in the known universe have traversed an ocean of stars for a singular war. The only chance for hope has been discovered in the darkest corner of the galaxy where, at last, the heretic has been found…
HERETIC IS THE PENULTIMATE CHAPTER IN THIS UNMISSABLE GALAXY-SPANNING EPIC SERIES.

Philip started his career as an emergency nurse and began writing the books he’d want to read as a hobby between shifts.
He published his first novel in 2016, and soon began his epic fantasy series, The Echoes Saga which went straight into the Amazon bestsellers list in 4 countries.
Now one of the best-selling indie authors worldwide, Philip lives in Manchester, England with his wife and two young children and is hoping this is just the beginning.
OMFG and I'm 46 and don't text speak, until just then.
I like fast moving, page turners. I also have a Physics degree and struggle with Sci Fi because it's too unbelievable. Obviously, you have to suspend belief, but for me there's limits. This series has been perfect in that regard to the point where I don't notice it.
I'm going to keep this brief; the story is awesome, the author has created a layer cake of mysteries, with plenty more left unanswered. The characters are varied, interesting and I especially love Roland who just likes blowing stuff up, getting drunk and fighting.
Mate, for the love of God and the sweet baby Jesus please release the next one before Chrimbo. And, then write loads of 'em. I want more Roland and his fat sidekick Len, sorry Ch'Len (I think ?).
Author is very clever and entertaining, like most series it get long in parts and the chase scenes are no longer worth reading. The overall story line is interesting, probably should be done in two books instead of four. Not sure I will read book 4. I know it is probably not appropriate but I wish they used names for the characters that mean something to me. I also don't care what the different species look like.
Finish this universe for one of the best fears you've had
This series is not only filled with surprising twists and believability, but will offer characters that have been made to ensure your continued support as they struggle with decisions and actions that will have far reaching consequences for all species in that universe.Recommended read for anyone who craves the story that draws you in continually
Amazing episode in this series, have loved every bit in this book. So much suspense, excitement and build up in the plot. The characters are great and continue to evolve. Looking forward to the next and I believe final episode. Hoping there won't be too much tragedy...
I do like a good Space Opera and this is up there with the best. Iain M Banks meets Peter Hamilton with a good dash of Neal Asher woven throughout with Philip C Quaintrell’s excellent touch. Thoroughly enjoying the Terran Cycle and looking forward to seeing how it resolves.
Fitting third book in the series. Excellent pace with characters becoming more accessible within the storyline. Looking forward to the next chapter in Kalians story.
Science fiction space adventure with unlikely hero's . From book one through book three a non- stop page turning adventure to determine the survival of the human race.
Loved the book, well written. Only irritation was the poor proof reading that left numerous spelling and grammatical errors spread throughout the text. "aloud" instead of "allowed" etc
Loved this book. One of the few series for which I couldn't wait to read the next book. If the other books from this author are 2/3 as good Haha, I'm in for many more treats. Fantastic storylines, incredible characters and detail
After the brilliant read which is the echoes of fate books i had to read more from this author and I'm so glad I did this trilogy was awesome. I found it really hard to put down and I cannot wait see what Philip produces next
After reading the Echoes Saga, all nine volumes, I wasn’t sure about this series but I am thoroughly enjoying it. True science fiction. I keep marveling at the new elements that the author introduces as this series advances. A page burner! Pure escapist fun!
With this, I've finished 12 books by Philip C. Quaintrell, and he hasn't missed yet. Maybe you could argue book one of this series was weak, but there's something about how he writes. The Echoes Saga was a 10 from start to finish, and that's across 9 books. He's becoming my G.O.A.T.
Really enjoyed this book, the 3rd in the series, full of action , adventure and a really gripping read, really good Science Fiction the whole series is a brilliant read.
