I received this book through a Goodreads Giveaway.

Tonight I read 28 pages of "Roughhouse" out-loud to my partner and my flatmate. I had to give up. My flatmate read a further 7 pages to us. I've handed the book over to him as I can't force myself through it. There are technical issues with the writing and problems with pace. I'm rating what I was able to read as I want to provide feedback.

This is the second book I have read by this author and, credit where it’s due - it’s definitely a significant step up in quality! Improvements made in practically every aspect I can think of: theme, plot, scenes, dialogue, characters, relationships, environment etc.

I’m really glad I read this! Like the first book by the author (HEARTBREAKER), I loved the characters and his choice of pop culture references. I feel like his books would make awesome movies, which I hope he takes to be a big complim
