The letters that German soldiers write home are about love, family, daily chores, hopes, dreams and yes, also wanting to fight for the fatherland and nazi-ideas. This book shows the human side of "the bad guys". Once again the world isn't simply black or white but grey like a Wehrmacht uniform.

It's interesting to read about the war from the perspective of the common german soldier. It is bewildering to notice how long they keep believing in the endsieg, and you almost pity them when

Voto 8++++++
