True love never dies... or so we’ve been told through the ages. But what happens when true love does die? When two souls, fated to be together, are torn apart? Somewhere My Lady, by Beth Trissel, poses those very questions. Hired for a summer job at Harrison Hall, a historical colonial mansion, Lorna never expected to see ghosts, nor to be reunited with a handsome soldier her heart and soul knows... even though

PG-17

Written with the style of a classic - fitting for the modern world.

Lorna's plans were innocent and somewhat boring: work a summer job at an estate fitting a royal family. Harrison Hall's plans were quite different, and thank goodness for that!

Time-travel novels are some of the best stories written. Forcing the author to create two completely different, and often starkly contrasting settings, the reader is able to taste multiple cultures and time periods, all in the same story. When done wel

Who knew that when Lorna went to Harrison Hall for her summer job, she would meet the man of her dreams, a man from her past...over 200 years into the past?
When the past meets the present, the love, strong and binding knows no end. Time cannot keep Lorna and Hart apart. Soon details of their past emerge and it is a race against time to find out who is the killer in this story. Through detective work worthy of Sherlock Holmes, Lorna and Hart , along with many new friends piece together the past t

Lorna and Hart are two souls whose hearts find each other even though born to different times. Get ready to sit back and travel to another time and place with this tale that will keep you turning the pages.

Ebook from Net Galley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Close your eyes and pretend it’s June 2017. You are standing in front of Harrison Hall, an eighteenth-century brick mansion on the James River, in Virginia. Are you there? Good. Now, meet Lorna Randolph, a young woman who has recently graduated from high school and who is about to embark on an incredible adventure, even though she doesn’t know it. Lorna has taken a job at the historic Harrison Hall, and her lif

I'm a sucker for time travel romances, and this one drew me in from the very start. A sweet romance with main characters that are 18-20 years old, this doesn't qualify as a New Adult novel, nor does it exactly fit any YA descriptions, but it should satisfy readers of all ages who appreciate romance with a touch of intrigue and paranormal suspense of disbelief.

Beth Trissel does an excellent job of laying out both time periods and keeping them separate in the reader's mind, no matter how chaotic t

This is a brilliant storyline. Time travel, ghosts, love, friendship and betrayal come together to make a fascinating and intriguing story. The characters are captivating, both past and present, the offer entertainment and mystery. Hart and Lorna are a tragic love story whose past and present revive the love and heartbreak of their relationship. This is unique in that the time travel goes both ways for multiple characters. It's romantic and suspenseful and exciting. It's a must for your TBR list ...more

Confession, I don't usually read romance novels because I don't find the writing good. After reading this I may have to start. It is a romance for the intelligent reader and I find that refreshing. The author weaves historical accuracy into this story of supernatural time travel. The book takes place in a historic mansion in Virginia and involves Lorna who is reincarnated into present day and reunited with a past love. The author even manages to weave a mystery into the story. Thoroughly enjoyed ...more

First time I have read a book by Beth Trissel, but she is going to be one of my favorite authors. I love time travel and this was a very original story and situations. Lorna and Hart have a love that lasts forever. The trials they go through does not lessen their love.

Enjoyable novel that has ghosts, time travel and other paranormal activity but all in a good way. The setting goes between 2017 and 1777 in Virginia. I can see enjoying this one again some time.

Married to my high school sweetheart, I live on a farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with my human family and furbabies. An avid gardener, I grow herbs and heirloom flowers and use them in my stories. The rich history of Virginia, the Native Americans (especially the Shawnee), and the Scots-Irish are at the heart of my inspiration. My English, Scottish, and Scots-Irish ancestors were among ...more
