The American conceptual artist Agnes Denes investigates science, philosophy, linguistics, psychology, art history, poetry, and music. A pioneer of ecological art, Denes's work involves ecological, cultural, and social issues.
A peak into Denes’s incredibly creative and inquisitive mind. Prolific writing to accompany a lifetime of diverse making and questioning. This book provided a wonderful frame for the exhibit of Denes work recently on display in New York but I found the most engaging writing - standing alone without visual accompaniment to be The ‘Book of Dust’ and her assorted writings. Her unique amalgamations of art science and philosophy have proved prophetic and continue to do so. I’d read pieces of her writings in the past and will no doubt return to this again.
This very inspiring work of Agnes Denes illuminates very foundation of artists' land art with scientific rheumination on human nature, philosophy and the environment. Inc. sketches and diagrams.
