Summer is the perfect time for a picnic -- and everyone knows that ants love a good picnic! Watermelon and corn on the cob -- yum! But when the sun starts to set, the ants must find their way home after a long afternoon in the park.
NY Times bestselling children's book author: GODDESS GIRLS series + HEROES IN TRAINING series (w Suzanne Williams); THIS LITTLE TRAILBLAZER a Girl Power Primer; ZERO THE HERO; I AM THE SHARK. Lucky to be doing what I love!
Miloš: I didn't like that they were dummies and that they didn't bring a light with them in the dark. I liked that they had a fun picnic and that they had so much fun, but what I also liked was that some nice glowing, flying little ants, that actually flew like fairies, actually gave them the way back home, and that's what I liked about them. The end.
Brontë: I really loved it. It's pretty easy to do. I liked when they, when at the starting it said that stuff on the sign. I liked that. It's pretty cool. And that's why I put it in my sign.
I love at the end when they have, almost at the end when they have "Munch, Munch, Munch, Crunch, Crunch, Crunch." And that's all.

My Review: This is a very simple early reader (pre-level one) that will go along well with your own picnic. It has a nice rhyme throughout the story and is filled with names so maybe your child will find his or her name. It is great for learning food words and even some sound words. Munchkin really enjoyed this one and helped sound out the words he knew.
