This is just a book of quotes from the legendary coach, and in my opinion there are really only seven noteworthy ones, but they are true classics worth remembering and living by.
If you really want to understand Lombardi, then read "When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi" by David Maraniss. This book is a biography of Vince Lombardi, the legendary coach of the Green Bay Packers. It covers his life from his childhood to his death and includes interviews with many of his former players and colleagues

“Strive To Excel: The Will and Wisdom of Vince Lombardi” compiled by Jennifer Briggs is a motivating little book filled with quotes by and about the famous football coach. I found this little gem on the Friends of the Library sale shelves where I find many great deals. It's a small quote book with a little more. It's a very quick read, and a nice reference when you are looking for a motivating quote.

Many of the quotes are by Vince Lombardi, but there are also a number of them about him. There are also a few longer passages about the coach too. As a small hardcover book, it is a type of “gift book” and not a biography or substantial work on Lombardi's life. It's a fun little book that contains some motivating quotes and wisdom. If you know nothing about Coach Lombardi, this will give you a glimpse into who the man was. If you are a Lombardi fan, this is a nice little collection of quotes and wisdom to apply to your own life.
