Come join us on Diamond Lake for a series on God's love, redemption and bringing to the forefront in your life.
One Thursday Morning
T.k. Chapin gives another book with thought provoking content again.
It's a romance but deals with domestic abuse and what happens with the victims.
You need to read Serenah's journey from abuse, loss to
a lasting love
I loved the characters and the beginnings of a new series at the Inn of the Lake.
The Inn is described in the book, " The Inn isn't just a place to stay when you're tired. It's a place where miracles can happen and God shows his strength and power."
One Friday Morning
A couple fighting, on the brink of divorce, arrive at the Inn at the Lake/
Thanks to the atmosphere at the Inn, the prayers of Serenah. the owner of the B&B. the wife's heart starts to thaw.
She is encouraged to work on her marriage and is reminded there are three in a marriage, God, husband, and wife.
Several verses in the book resonated with me but the one really grabbed me
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you," 1 Peter 5:7.
Using the description in the book I have created a page in my journal with the verse, the hands of God holding the world, the words hate, worry, anxiety and fear surrounding the hands of God.
The statement " God is my Redeemer and I need to commit to him everything, truly everything.
Thank you T.K. for this book and the constant reminder that we need to keep God in the forefront of our lives.
One Saturday Evening
This is a great summer read about Charlotte, a single mother with three kids and Dylan who moves in next door '" He's artistic, a man of God, easy to look at.,and most of all loves being around her children."
Finding her heart stirring to the possibly of finding love again, she is horrified when she finds out he is a member one her hometowns feuding families and her childhood piano teacher is a member of the other.
I loved all the characters, the setting of Diamond Lake, God's love and redemption and the ending of the novella.
One Sunday Drive
I love how this author weaves God through the words in his books.
Romance, believing in God, asking forgiveness and giving second chances are themes in this book.
I enjoyed the characters and the setting of the Inn.
As usual, I read the book in one setting because I couldn't put it down.
One Monday Prayer
I really enjoyed this latest book, by T.k. Chapin., telling the story of finding love again after the death of a loved one, about the guilt of moving on with life.
With the knowledge that we will meet our loved one again, we can free ourselves to find love again.
It was comforting to meet up with previous characters and was sad at the passing of Emma.
Thank you for this lovely Christmas story and I look forward to many more stories by this author.
One Tuesday Lunch
I have read all of the T.k. Chapin books and this one was totally different. This book gives us suspense, romance and of course God's love, forgiveness, redemption, and grace.
I always love returning to Diamond Lake to see Serenah and Charlie.
Each book in this series can be read as a stand alone but reading in order gives a richer experience with the characters.
Thanks again for a heartfelt book and I recommend it highly.
One Wednesday Dinner is book seven in the Inspirational Fiction Diamond Lake Series by T.K. Chapin.
This final book is heartbreaking but at the same time you rejoice.
I love the setting of Diamond Lake, all the residents and the wonderful story.
Tears were flowing when a small child who has only known about Jesus for a short time, family .brings Momma to Jesus.
This entire series is recommended for anyone that loves strong inspirational bookfamily.
I look forward to the next series.

The Complete Diamond Lake Series, written by T.K. Chapin, is an awesome series! Here is a summary of each of my reviews from each book...

One Thursday Morning: Serenah's Story (which continues through the series)- Chapin is able to incorporate into this story of hopelessness and agony the love that only God can give a person through the difficult times and a sustaining hope that all things do “work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called according to his purpose.“ Rom. 8:28.
One Friday Afternoon: Nathan & Elizabeth's Story - They allowed others between them and have now gotten to the point where they both have to face the mistakes they’ve made and make a choice. Will God be the foundation of their marriage or with they allow other people, jobs, and things to take priority in their lives above the Lord?
One Saturday Evening: Charlotte's Story - Charlotte grew up in Newport, WA and has returned with her three daughters to be near her family after a divorce. She was deeply hurt in the divorce and wants to start a new life in Newport.
One Sunday Drive: Katie's Story - One of the quotes I took from this book is “Some of the greatest difficulties aren’t the decisions we make, but the results of them.” Several characters had to deal with the results in many different ways in this book and through it all, Chapin amplifies Christ is our first go-to.
One Monday Prayer - Angie's Story - She’s a young widow who has just gone through a tragic fire to her apartment and Serenah encourages her to travel to the Inn on the Lake to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas. Angie has gone through the grieving time over the last two years, but now is introduced to dating again.
One Tuesday Lunch - Miley's Story - In this book, we are reintroduced to Miley whom we met way back in book 1 of the series. She works at Dixie's Diner as a waitress. We get to dig deeper into the character of Miley and see what she’s made of…what kind of faith she has or needs to have to get through life in Newport, WA. Unlike some of the other books in the series, this book is more suspenseful, edge-of-your-seat, mysterious, keep you guessing, who-done-it, and just enough Christian Romance that you just can’t resist sitting with your nose in the book until you complete it!
One Wednesday Dinner - Brody's Story - In this book, we get to know Police Chief Brody Jenkins. We met him in the first book of the series right after he had dated Miley, but time has passed and Brody finds himself in a situation. A young boy is dropped off at his doorstep...a sudden responsibility that he knew nothing about previously.

I recommend The Complete Diamond Lake Christian Romance Series for all readers looking for encouragement because each book has Christ as the foundation for happiness in the midst of struggles. This series includes Inspirational, Romance, Suspense, and Mystery all in one series!

I read this series, Complete Diamond Lake when each of the seven books was first published. I enjoyed getting to know the area of where the books took place as well as the characters. Each book has characters in a different place in their lives and in their walk with God.

What has always stood out to me in T.K. Chapin’s work is his ability to show the harsh realities of life; never shying away from how Christians are impacted and sometimes fail. Even more what stand out in his books are the guidance, grace, mercy and love of God which is never failing. No matter the plot, God is always at the center of T.K. Chapin’s works.

Each book is titled according to the day of the week. I thought it was interesting that the first book in the series did not start on a Sunday but rather on a Thursday. It doesn’t have a bearing on the stories just interesting to me.

One Thursday Morning – This is Serenah’s story. It has a wonderful characterization, along with her situation with its heartaches. It is also a hopeful inspirational story.

One Friday Afternoon - Mr. Chapin gives a true picture of how easy it is to lose focus on relationships with God and with each other. Nathan and Elizabeth are on the verge of divorce as the story begins.

One Saturday Evening – Heart-shattering betrayal makes trusting and a willingness to completely love again issues that are intertwined with a prejudice involving a long family feud.

One Sunday Drive - T.K. Chapin explores the theme of forgiveness with Katie’s story. Katie must deal with the past so that she can move on with the present and future.

One Monday Prayer - Though all has not been merry and bright in Angie’s life, she goes to spend the Christmas holidays with her cousin. This is not a long book but it’s sweeter than some of the other books in the series.

One Tuesday - While this book can be read easily as a stand-alone, Miley, the main female lead, actually made an appearance in a much earlier book. Fans of who-done-it mysteries and books with a biblical stance, will love One Tuesday Lunch, since it does both magnificently.

One Wednesday Dinner - This story has action, mystery, a child in need, a villain, a little romance and a character with a lot of regrets.

These are hard hitting stories, but also inspirational and hopeful, too, showing what can happen when one puts their trust in God.

This was a EBook collection of seven novels. The characters are realistic and you get involved in their lives, problems and emotions. These books are clean, romance stories and the characters are linked through these books through a connection to Diamond Lake. These stories are full of the promise from Romans 8:28 that God will work out all things together for the good of those who love Him. (My paraphrase of verse). They contain other Scripture in the stories and are faith based with the characters leaning on God or living out a relationship with God through their struggles. The writing flows well, keeps your attention, and the plots are believable. I enjoyed these books and the message they portrayed the God is with you throughout the good and bad, He sees you and cares about you, He knows your struggles and ultimately will work out all thing together for good. I recommend these books.

Every book in this series is a five! Once I began the first book, I knew I had to read them all. I liked the fact that each book could be read as a standalone book. But although you didn't have to read them all, (they did have an ending), I enjoyed seeing how the characters lifes interacted and developed with the ones in each following book. While they all were inspirational, some had more romance, others had more mystery and suspense. Every book I have read by this author has touched my life. Even though there were 7 books, I hated to see the series end.

This series of books covers quite a bit

This series of books covers quite a few of this life's temptations, trials and tragedies. From affairs, emotional and physical, to domestic abuse. But it shows the hope, the tenacity to be better. It also tells of journeys to love. This is a great series!

Average

I checked out the seven-book boxed set and just finished the first book. I will not be reading the rest of the books in the series. I found the book to be predictable and slow, but kept waiting and wanting to be drawn in. Sentences were choppy, and any kind of romantic or relational scene seemed forced. I do not recommend.

An okay read

Good book but not enough story lines to keep me interested. It’s light reading if that is what you are looking for.
