While this is good for it's basic function (showing different shapes), it has no story or entertainment factor to hold interest. It's nice for a pocket size learning tool or a chew toy (as my daughter seems to think this is perfect size to gnaw on). Can't say I see this being a long-term favorite, but it has it's place in early learning.

Not the best book of shapes. It includes pictures of things kids today will not recognize or likely ever use. Like audio cassettes. And under the heading of diamonds, all it has is some diamond shaped candy and a kite that is actually a combo of 4 triangles.
Really rather slap-dash, lazy, irrelevant examples of "everyday shapes".

These four books came as a set and were another gift from the hospital when Natalie was born. While they aren't quite as good as the My First Board Book books, these are very similar. The big difference is that these books are much smaller, only about two inches by two inches.

A great book for very little ones, or little ones learning to read, like L!
