I really love Laxmi's imagination. Wonderful writing. Having never traveled, her stories take me to places I would like to visit.

This series is one I will follow.

This is a short novella that can be used to introduce you to the world of the Many Lives series by this author. I was excited to read it as I have Untamed on my bookshelf ready to read and the book sounded appealing from the description.

I'm not one for giving out negative reviews on books as I think there is always something good about a book if one looks for it but even though this novella is only 46 pages long I found myself actually telling my spouse I wasn't sure I could finish it. The reas

Another wonderful story by Laxmi Hariharan. I downloaded this story and two others from instafreebie. This story gives one a taste of what her werewolf stories are like. If you can read them in order. I didn't, but the narrative flows even better if you do.
I read this short story as part of the Name Your Demon box set.

Maya lives in a world where shifters exist and are not wanted! She lives on the outskirts of Bombay with her shifter family and is frustrated as she has not yet shifted even though Luke, the love of her life, is able to. Her mother reveals a huge secret to her and Maya heads off to Bombay to find herself, to find what she wants to do with her life and there she meets an interesting man and eventually his father that reveal to her wh

Magical even with few chapters

First of all a huge thanks to the author and her team for providing me with a copy of the book to read and review

Feral was a fantastic treat especially for being a fan of the Ruby Iyer series. The book no doubt is a read that is capable of being taken up as a standalone as , the major part of the book runs so strong and independently from the original series that you won’t have trouble comprehending as to what is going on in the chapter and its toward the end wh

Feral is a novella that looks at Maya’s life. Set in the same world as that of Ruby Iyer, Maya’s story is set in the next generation timeline.

Maya has quite never felt ‘at home’ with her family. She always feels like an outsider with her people even though she has her mother and Luke to love her and care for her. After a heated conversation with her mother, Maya sets upon to discover her true identity where she meets Jai and is instantly attracted to this stranger. With Luke waiting for her back

What a great short story. This standalone book was great! I loved meeting the characters and following Maya on her soul searching journey to find her human family and finding her way back to Luke. Her forgiveness to her pack hybrid family and Ma and returning home away from the humans. I enjoyed reading it from the first page until the last page. I was sad to see it was that short once starting it. I wanted to keep reading more! I can't wait to find out what the other books entail with their sto ...more

A revised copy - about 50k words.

This read is so deep with emotions! Here we get to know origin of Maya and also her own story.
Is everything that easy as it seems at first? What about emotions torward Luke?
When you find out your world is made of lie - can you deal with it with calm head?

As in original verision of Feral we get full sack of emotions that will give each reader total roller-coaster in this story!
Luke's POV's are like a balm for my heart - that gave so much more to this story! I love

I just didn't get into this one. I've read Laxmi's material before but this story just didn't move for me. I like the premise and the storyline had interesting turns...but I felt like I was on life support getting me through this. Personally as an author she writes very well and paints a clear picture. The momentum just never picked up pace and I skimmed to get it over with.

Average book. Poor character development and a very loose plot. Dint enjoy it much... But maybe there's more to the series?

This is not my usual type of shifter story. This shifter story takes place in the future. Weather and tsunami's ravage the earth in 2014 and everyone is moving to cities like Bombay where cities prospered after the tsunami's. The Russian shifters move to Bombay and make a life for themselves outside the city of Bombay. The feral are humans that became shifters as a result of disease and genetic anomalies. The Russian shifters took over their area and now the feral bow to the Alpha. This story is ...more

Wow! "Feral" is the first book I've ever read by Ms. Hariharan, but it certainly won't be my last! A fantastic, gripping, emotional roller coaster ride in a Dystopian world with shifters that had a unique storyline, great attention to detail & well defined characters, that kept me glued to and on the edge of my seat turning pages, from the start to the end! ... These are my honest opinions without any outside influences, and I bought the boxed set with all 5 books so I highly recommend this ...more

A truly fascinating whirl wind of a world in which lies are revealed and secrets exposed. A well written story that has a unique quality that keeps you coming back for more. You don't who you can trust or if your enemy is your best friend. I fell in love with this series and I know if you pick up a copy you won't put it down until your finished. I read it 3 times already and have every intention of doing so for a ling ling time. I can't wait for the full story, that'll be Christmas morning for m ...more

Getting this first look into the world after its "end" is amazing. Seeing Luke and Maya grow and change is wonderful. Maya finding out truths that never should have been hidden from her makes it so much easier to enjoy reading about her growing emotionally from a young girl and into a woman. Luke being a sweetheart and waiting on Maya and just being an all around wonderful make adds the perfect amount of sizzle to this story. I fully enjoyed following these two through their trials and different ...more

This is the first book I have read by the author Laxmi Hariharan. I do not want to leave any spoilers, as I recommend you find them yourselves.
This book was full of believable characters, with love, heartbreak, self doubt, and looking inwards into your life. The author made you be able to
Feel the emotions of the characters and what they was going through , you could imagine seeing through their eyes and walking in their shoes, which is the sign of a good book. I was transported into another worl

Forever Mates

I have read and enjoyed quite a few books by Lexi Hariharan. I enjoy the wolf shifter genre and Feral did not disappoint. Maya is raised in a wolf shifter pack. She has turned 18 and still has not shifted. When she finds out why, her world is turned upside down. The only constant for her is Luke. If you enjoy wolf shifter stories, in my opinion, you will enjoy Feral.

What is going to be the result. Do shifters and humans learn to get along.

I like the series but don't get the answer in this story but all the e!ements are here. The head of The guardians is the brother of the head of the shifter clan, Maya. Hopefully they will recognize there blood bond and make peace.

Note: I received this book in exchange for signing up for the authors email list.

Feral is a novella about Maya a girl who knows that she is different from the other in her pack, because she has come of age without gaining the ability to shift into her wolf form. That's right, this is a werewolf story. I normally don't like reading urban fantasy, but this is also a post-apocalyptic book. And I enjoyed the mystery of the world building. It left me asking how did the world break, where did the shif

Maya believes she is a wolf, as she runs through the trees she wonders why she hasn't shifted.
The the Alpha, her mother, tells her she is human.
This starts Maya on a journey of discovery, heart ache and finding where she belongs.
A gripping story of love, and acceptance. A must read.👍

What do you do when you find out your whole upbringing was based on lies? That's the dilemma Maya is faced with when the truth of her adoption comes out. Being raised with Hybrids she always knew she was different. She sets out to find her "real family" and in doing so discovers herself and what the true meaning of family is. A fast paced read that leaves you wanting to know more.

Mia and Luke sizzle across the pages

Not knowing who you are or where you come from is a journey of destiny that Mia cannot run from. What she finds is nothing to what she may be giving up. A great book.

This is Maya's story. It is a good book for teenagers and above. Maya starts questioning why she has not shifted into a wolf. She goes hunting for the truth. Read it to find out what she has learned.

Feral is the prequel to the series Many Lives. Laxmi Hariharan tells the story through the eyes of the main characters, Maya and Luke. This is much more the a love story...filled with suspense and action.

Love it

I love this continuation of the many lives series. Her world building is phenomenal and the characters are full and easy to love. In this book we follow Maya and Luke and we see just what it takes in this new world to a shifters an alpha

Quick read. A self-discovery Dystopian version of a PNR. Not bad. Could use a bit more character development but satisfying nonetheless. Great job.
