Evie Wright thought family life would take her happiness to the next level. Instead, it became the very thing that crumbled her apart. Left with a broken soul, she was content with just surviving instead of living. Even when Lior Spencer came into her life, she was oblivious of his good intention, but he was determined to make sure she saw the light.
The title and the blurb were calling my name. It definitely lured me to my need of emotional pain.
I have to say, I had respect for Lior. It's hard to see how anyone would be willing to purposely entangle with someone carrying heavy baggage. He was very patient and understanding, but I'm glad he was hard when the situation needed it.
Evie was a mess. While I could imagine her devastation, I felt like her progress was painfully slow. If it wasn't for the people around her, she'd probably wouldn't put any effort in getting out of the rabbit hole. For this kind of story, I wanted to see the character's inner strength but I couldn't identify it with her.
The book started with a high note - well, on my scale of emotional masochism lol! The prologue was heartbreaking and I had a high hope for it to keep the momentum, but it plateau soon after. It's a short book but it still felt dragged on. It took too long for something to change and when it happened, it was too much, too sudden. And I was also not convinced with her living situation.
Devastate is a story of a woman's journey in re-awakening her soul with the support of those who love her. It would appeal to readers looking for a story of emotional healing.

5 Stars! to Devastate by Marley Valentine.
Evie and Lior.......
Wow!
I wasn't even past the first few pages and my heart was breaking! In those few pages, I knew what was going to happen and the consequences as a result of it. I felt powerless to stop it!
This book is appropriately titled. I was absolutely devastated! And this after only a few pages.
Devastate could not have been an easy book to write, and yet is was beautifully written. I felt every emotion. I wanted to jump in those pages and take the pain away because I was feeling it too.
From the blurb it's easy to infer where this story is headed and yet I was not prepared. Fortunately there are unexpected heroes and heroines there to lighten the dark element shadowing Evie.
And Elliot as well.
Lior is our hero of the story and the 'light' that Evie didn't know she needed or even wanted. I fell in love with Lior instantly. He was careful with Evie. His patience, kindness and persistence to help Evie heal was just beautiful. He was just perfect.
I'm not going to say too much more as I don't want to spoil anything for you. I will say that Devastate is a beautifully written, tragic story. However, secondary characters bring light and even laughter. There is a happily ever after. I couldn't have asked for anything more.
And all around perfect story with all the feels and a perfect ending. I am looking forward to more from this author!

5 beautifully bright stars. Within the first few sentences in the prologue I have my hand over my mouth with tears in my eyes completely absorbed in the words. We're taken through some tragic events that Evie has lived through, she's viewed as a fragile and delicate woman and considering all that's happened in such a short period of time it's no surprise that she has become a shell of a woman. Elliot has Evie's best interest at heart and he truly believes he's helping her but it's not until her co-worker Court starts to built a friendship that Evie starts to open up once again and even Elliot can sense a change in her character. Lior is Elliot's best friend and when he's introduced to Evie things will never be the same, he's the type of man that's patient and compassionate yet determined and he has his eyes set on her. I love the personalities of both Courtney and Lior, they speak their mind and don't hold back and will have you chuckling at times when you need it most. This story is will pull at your heartstrings and have you feeling each and every emotion right along side them. Seeing the transformation and what it took to reach that point is incredibly beautiful. I can't believe this is a debut from this author, the story flowed smoothly and just touched my heart. I will undoubtably be looking for more work from her in the future. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

From it's shocking start, this book is saturated with beautifully melancholic moments, some teary smiles and instances that will make you want to both shake these characters and hug them. Marley Valentines deals with some heavy subject matter but she must be commended for handling this with the brevity and respect these situations deserve.
Her writing is stunning and descriptive. Even for someone who has had no experiences like the heroine, every single emotion and action is completely relatable and tangible.
This is a sweet, touching, often angsty book with some laughs thrown in for good measure.
A fantastic debut. I can't wait to see what else this author has in store for us.

I have no words, I am left speechless after reading this book.
I know if I write my review now, I won't do justice to this story and it deserves so much praise. But now, I just can't do it. It's too raw.
Marley Valentine has shattered my expectations and delivered there a real gem.

This book started out on an extreme high for me. The most depressing, captivating high imaginable but still, it sucked me in. The prologue was filled with so much emotion and pain. I had to keep reading to find out where this stemmed from.
The star of this book, Evie, is at an all-time low of her life. As a childless widow, she’s lost most of her motivation to live. As the story progresses, she slowly – key word – begins to open herself up to new experiences. She makes a friend at work, goes out to dinner in public, and meets Lior.
Lior was so good to Evie, and good for her. He was hooked from the moment he saw her and knew he had to tread lightly. He pushed her out of her comfort zone little by little without being overbearing. He had no idea what battle he was fighting with Evie’s past but he still held on and worked to break through her barriers one step at a time.
Like I said earlier, this book started out on such a high for me. It was written beautifully, well-thought out, and the emotions were so intense but it started to fizzle out. The last 40% felt very rushed. Once Evie’s barriers began breaking down, it was like a flood gate opened. It was one Evie-‘extreme’ after another in a short period of time.
Evie also confused me throughout this story. She was a PhD graduate but came off young and immature from time to time. Perhaps this coincides with her extreme depression after all she’s endured but simple concepts and conversations seemed juvenile and foreign.
There seemed to be some gaps in the story line - again, in the last chunk of the book. One area that stood out like a sore thumb to me was between chapters 19 and 20. I remember thinking, “Huh? What did I miss?” I flipped back a few times thinking a missing chapter would reveal itself or to make sure I didn’t skip a page…
All in all, this was an interesting read. It was very sad but filled with hope; depressing but there was a faint light at the end of the tunnel.

From the first page, I knew that I was going to love this book and that there were going to be a lot of feels being caught. By the end of the prologue I already had tears in my eyes and could not put this book down. Evie has been through so much and it takes meeting Lior and having friends be there for you and help you find your way back to yourself in order for her to grow and accept what has happened. Lior is just way to close to perfect. He is what dreams are made of and it definitely gave it a different spin being able to understand from his point of view. Marley has written this book beautifully, being aware that it is a sensitive subject and made it so we felt exactly what Evie was feeling. The emotion that runs through this book is incredible, from tears and laughter to true happiness, I will remember this book for a while. This is not a smutty book at all but there is a sex scene that is beautifully written that makes me love this book and Marley even more.

A light read
3.5 stars. The first half of this story is all about grief, overcoming tragedy and trying to find your way in life again. This was too drawn out for me personally. This was definately a slow burn with very little steam, but it was full of compassion and finally love. Lior was the saviour in this story, I really love him. Evie was ok, bu we really didn’t get to know her that well, she just had too much grief to deal with. This is a good read if you like your romance on the light side and a sweet hero.

Based on the cover and the blurb, I thought/hoped this book would break my heart in two. Unfortunately, it didn't. I would have loved the author to show me more instead of telling me about the relationship or the things that happened. I also felt like there were parts missing, especially towards the end. It felt a little rushed to me once Evie opened up to Lior.
I think if those things, without spoiling anything, would have been fleshed out a bit more and if the author would have gone a bit deeper into the story and its characters, this truly could have been a book I loved. This was my first book by this author, and while I didn't love this one, I liked it enough to read more of her work. The writing was engaging and solid.

Marley's exquisite writing brings us characters that you can't help but to fall in love and want to be friends with.
Devastate is the kind of story you don't just read...you live it.
While she made me feel like I was right there, experiencing Evie's pain while she tried to cope with her past, and hope when she meets the devastatingly kind Lior Spencer. She also managed to make me laugh so hard at the humor she unexpectedly threw our way, and swoon with lines that were written from the heart.
What happens when you find love after loss?
You'll have to read to find out.
If you want a romance in every sense of the word, this is definitely the book for you, and I can't wait to read more from this amazing author

This is a debut from Marley valentine and right from the prologue I’m dragged into the story. Totally sucked in with my emotions running deep from the words alone.
This is about Evie who has endured tragic events in her life. She shares her apartment with Elliot and I wasn’t sure what the relationship was there at first. Evie seems closed off, just existing and I wanted to find out why. What is evident is that Elliot is there for her in a comfortable silence, and most of the time with her best interests at heart. He has a good friend and work colleague in Lior and when he meets Evie for the first time, there is a deep connection from the way they first look at each other. Lior can see there is more to the girl that has caught his attention and he wants to peel the layers to discover more about her, but he could get more than he bargained for.
Evie has a work colleague called Courtney who goes by the name of Court. She is quite the forward pushy girl. She sees how Evie and Lior are looking at each other and she knows there are hidden depths to Evie. So, with a gentle shove and encouragement she starts picking at Evie and gets her to start to live again instead of just coasting along with her everyday life. Court and Lior are persistent in their crusade.
“You never need to hide your smile from me.”
Court and Evie begin to form a firm friendship, but it makes me laugh they couldn’t be more opposite to one another. Their interaction is entertaining. Lior. Elliot, Court, and Evie share a few nights out to dinner and slowly but surely Evie slightly breaks down some walls as she starts to feel a little comfortable around her new friends and Elliot.
This is told in dual point of view of Evie and Lior. I enjoyed getting into both their minds. Poor Evie surrounded by such darkness and feeling the connection to Lior wanting to open up more but afraid of revealing some of her secrets in case it scared him away. Lior is so drawn to Evie he knows there is so much more he doesn’t know, apart from one thing that has already been revealed. He just wants to be her light in all her darkness.
Devastate evoked lots of feelings. I cried, smiled, and damn well felt my heart shatter. This story is full of hope and love. It was a roller-coaster of emotions and just when I wiped my tears for a humorous part along would come something else to shatter me all over again. It has a sweet mix in the story. Marley Valentine will become a household name in the Indie book world. Her penmanship is outstanding with her ability to make you feel every word you read, and I will follow with great interest what’s offered next. There’s an awesome playlist to accompany the story and there is one track that gave me Goosebumps while listening to it and reading.

I really liked this book. The story centers around Evie who has lost a lot in the last 2 yrs. A child and a husband. Her grieving is severe. She has a Ph D yet now works in a retail store needing to keep her body tired and not her mind. She exist. She isn't living. That is until two people start to push her out of her doldrums. Her coworker, Courtney, who starts to get her out of her apartment and Lior, her brother in laws coworker.
Lior meets the mysterious Evie and feels a connection to her right away. He sees the pain in her eyes and the vacant stare but yet can't seem to stay away. Slowly he ingratiates himself into her life and little by little and slowly he chips away at the castle thick walls she has built around herself. He must show her that with death life must go on.
I liked this book. I feel the beginning was really good but as the relationship developed the books slowed and that, while still a good read, didn't sing to me.

Elliot is always there shadowing her to make sure she doesn't fall, never touching her soul but always there. One day she sees his best friend, not knowing he even had one, there eyes lock and instantly there is a connection. Sensing this Courtney, her co-worker, decides it's time she renters the world of the living.
The is great story well written. You can feel the heartache of Evie and her longing to be normal, luckily for her Lior is there patiently waiting, hoping and encouraging.
This is my first time reading this author and I'll definitely be reading more by them. I highly recommend this book. I'd love to read more about the characters but if this is all there is, that's fine too

The title of this book is so accurate, the book will devastate you due to the heartache that one woman has suffered. From the first page this book will have you hooked and tears in your eyes. Evie's story will show you how devastation in your life can cripple you and totally consume you. This is her journey after two years of allowing herself to not live but just to exist and to push the people away who are suffering just as much as she is, along come two people who will bring her from her shell of pure existence into the light. This is one of the most emotional stories I have read and every tear you will cry will be worth it. One absolutely beautiful story of a woman who will learn to lean on people and finally open her heart up to be healed. Five massive huge stars for this amazing story.

Devastate by Marley Valentine is a stand alone romance novel.
Meet Evie and Elliot.
Both bear tragic losses. They are a kind of friends and roomies. Elliot cares for Evie. Evie is grieving, she has deep deep issues, she drowns in her grief.
And then comes Lior. Slowly, very slowly he manages to pull her out of her darkness.
Devastate is a heart wrenchingly story about loss, death, grief, pain, healing and second chances in life.
Devastate is well thought out, well told and well written. I love the characters and I could feel the characters emotions in the words.

Meet Evie and Elliot.
Both bear tragic losses. They are a kind of friends and roomies. Elliot cares for Evie. Evie is grieving, she has deep deep issues, she drowns in her grief.
And then comes Lior. Slowly, very slowly he manages to pull her out of her darkness.
Devastate is a heart wrenchingly story about loss, death, grief, pain, healing and second chances in life.
Devastate is well thought out, well told and well written. I love the characters and I could feel the characters emotions in the words.
I give 4,5 Stars and say thank you Marley Valentine.

Devastate has affected me on a personal level. I haven't felt like this after finishing a book since I read Slip of the Tongue by Jessica Hawkins. Marley Valentine has touched on my emotions, emotions that I leave buried deep within myself.
The loss that has been experienced by the main character, Evie, is a loss that I have experienced in my life. I cried and cried some more throughout the entirety of this well-written, courageous story. Writing such a story takes major GUTS!! Marley has created a story that has opened old wounds for me, but has also allowed me to accept the things that I have been through in the past. There are millions of women in the world who have suffered such a loss. We all deserve to have our story told, and Marley has given us such a beautiful voice!

This book was raw emotional and very well written.Grabbed my heart and wouldn't let got till I finished it.Evie and Lior story was real.I hope Theres a book 2 cause theres more story here,Highly recommend.

No puedo negar que el libro tiene un muy buen enganche.
Es super atrapante al inicio la química entre Leo y Evie; pero en mi opinión la autora no supo sostener hasta el final.
Alrededor de la mitad del libro, decae por completo... y termina sin pena ni gloria.

Un principio fantástico, un final exactamente igual de bueno, ¿lo del medio? Decepcionante. La historia se queda estancada y solo consigue aburrir.

Devastate went from a heartbreaking tearful beginning to a beautiful and joyful ending. I was so happy to see their life complete with an HEA.

Me gustó mucho esta historia.
Es la primera que leo de la autora, pero les garantizo que no será la última. Es una historia sobre amor, pérdida, dolor, angustia, y sobre todo nuevas oportunidades. El prólogo me dejó con un vacío en el corazón y lágrimas en los ojos, quería abrazar tanto a los personajes y ayudarlos a manejar su angustia, meterme en el libro y ayudarlos a soportar su dolor, fue tan angustiante, me dolió tanto por ellos que inmediatamente me enganché y no pude parar de leer hasta terminar.
La historia nos trae a Evie, una chica que ha pasado por tanto dolor en tan corto periodo de tiempo, que es solo una muerta en vida, dominada por sus pérdidas, su dolor, que solo existe, es una chica vacía por dentro, con un dolor tan profundo, que no puede vivir. Existe en su mundo acompañada por dolor y más dolor.
Elliot su cuñado vive con ella y la acompaña del trabajo a la casa todos los días, él solo quiere ayudarla a sobrellevar el dolor, pero ella no lo deja entrar y apenas le habla o no le responde cuando le hace conversación.
En algún momento Courtney que es compañera de trabajo de Evie, la invita a salir, aparece en su casa y no se da por vencida hasta que Evie poco a poco la va dejando entrar en su vida.
Al mismo tiempo aparece también Lior, que es un amigo de Elliot y se siente atraído por ella inmediatamente. Un chico paciente que empieza a involucrarse en la vida de Evie, que poco a poco la hace derrumbar las paredes que ella ha construido a su alrededor y ella se empieza a abrir a los demás.

I really enjoyed Devastate by Marley Valentine. It totally tugged at my heart from start to finish. Some parts were actually heartbreaking... But in between the heartache there was tenderness and it was filled with hope.
Poor Evie tragedy struck her life, leaving her to endured way too much loss for one person. Everything she held dear was taken away. Leaving her a shell of her former self. She's existing not living... My heart broke for her! Luckily the people in her life refuse to give up on her... Her brother in law Eliott was so supportive and loyal. He tried his best to get her through and just be there for her. He is such a good guy! Then there was Evie's co-worker Courtney, she's the opposite of Evie and just what Evie needed. Evie tried to push her away and Courtney pushed back not taking no for an answer. Courtney made me laugh out loud a few times. She's fun and fiesty. With her help, Evie slowly she started opening up and live.... But it wasn't until her eyes connected with Elliott's friend, Lior that her life took a significant turn. Lior is patient, compassionate and kind. He saw past Evie's pain. They both felt an undeniable attraction... Could Evie let go of her past? Could Lior be just what she needed? Evie & Lior's story was often sad, but ultimately beautiful.....
I loved Elliott! I am so intrigued by him... I'm dying to know his story. I hope Marley gives him his own book.
All and all, Marley did a great job on her first solo endeavor. I see a bright future for her ahead....

Such a strong title for such a heartbreaking read. Devastate is the first book I have read by this author and it certainly wont be my last and a Debut novel to boot this lady surely kicked some booty with this one ! Or should I say caused a few tears along the way.
She ripped my dam heart out !! Such a brilliant writer .. Her way with words gets into your soul and drags you under till you have read that very last page. Seeing the sunshine after the darkness.
Devastate is a story of loss , and devastation in one woman's life , how much pain can one withstand and how much heart ache one entails. Devastate is So raw and so real to life. The turmoil of loosing everything you live for and love in such a short space of time. How we all cope differently when something so dramatic changes your life. Some life on . Some just survive and some cant.
The prologue alone will draw you in, its delivered in such a way that your sucked into it, the raw emotion and heart ache and the way this author delivers the emotions is gripping.
Evie is a damaged soul, just living day by day in the same routine, existing. A life that was one consumed with love and life is now filled with heart ache and sorrow and even some hate on those days darkness is sucking her under.
Under one day she meets light. A moment of realization that she is alive and this light slowly seeps into her darkness. Giving her reason to live again, love again and share all her darkness . Lior is a ray of sunshine in her life and he brings reason for her to smile again and heal in a way she never thought possible. ** I loved the way the author slowly introduced this romance ** it was slow gradual and endearing. It gave us readers insight into the depth of the characters, even the new best friend that Evie has. Opening new avenues , making her open up and start to live a little day by day tiny steps.
Lior is one of those guys every girls dreams off ** Mc Dreamy **
So patient and loving, kind and caring, and dam hot !! haha
He has this knack for weaving his way into Evie's life showing her love and support she never thought she could ever feel again. A slow building friendship. showing her a little light among her darkness. Slowly letting it seep in .. His determination is a subtle push always , fierce yet caring and it gives him such a strong character I loved his character such much.
This read certainly makes you think, and the author certainly hit the nail on the head with the emotions and tragedy . I have first had witnessed the devastation of someone close to me loosing a child , the author doesnt sugar coat the darkness. But does show that there is light after it. How each person handles it differently. It will be a darkness that will always live within but this book shows that having a ray of sunshine to share it with makes life bearable and worth loving and living again.
An amazing debut by this author, such a gripping and heart felt read .
I look forward to the next book , As I really enjoyed the secondary characters in this story. I hope to see glimpses of Evie and Lors life among the next installment and see how there life is going as well.

All I can say is, I am an emotional mess after reading this book. I went through all emotions while reading this book, from sobbing mess to an ear-to-ear smiling goof. It’s beautifully written, gripping story. It draws you in from the very first page. But before I get more into the story, I want to say, just look at that cover work!! Wow… Isn’t that just beautiful??!!
Devastate is a devastatingly beautiful story of Evie, a woman who’s lost everything she ever loved, and Lior, a man who’s determined to bring her back to life. Their story was hauntingly beautiful, from the unconventional way they have met to how their affection towards each other grew into a full on love.

He stops whatever he’s doing and turns around. His eyes grow wide and lock on mine, we continue to stare at one another in silence. His eyes are the palest blue I’ve ever seen, the circumference of his irises a shade darker, enhancing their crystal-like shine. He’s noticeably taller than me. his stance is confident and unwavering; but instead of fearing the stranger, all I feel is comfort.
Evie is a shell of the woman she once was. She has been dealt a horrible hand in life and only way she knows how to cope with her grief and anger is by withdrawing from those around her. She has built protective walls around herself and won’t let anyone in. That’s until a co-worker, Courtney, refuses to be shut away. I loved how Courtney’s friendship helped Evie come out of her shell.

“I feel like I’ve just stepped into a 101 on life skills” I tell her. She takes her time swallowing her food and then deadpans. “Well, you better take notes, Evie, because you’re to allowed to fail.”
Lior is a fun, loving and charming man. He’s had his own share of tragedy dealt to him by life however, all he is interested in is to bring Evie back to the land of the living and love her. He’s generous, caring and patient with her giving her the time that she needs to heal. He brings light to her world.

Its like his mother was a psychic because light is the perfect description for Lior. It fits like a glove.
I loved all the interactions between them characters, specially enjoyed the flashback conversation between Lior and his mother.

“Why didn’t you say anything sooner?” “Some lessons need to be learned, honey. And the difference between your first love and your last love is one of them”
I loved how they all evolved and grew and broke Evie’s walls together in a subtle and gentle way. I specially loved the way the story came together.
I don’t want to give away too much of the story, so you’ll have to read and make your own decisions about it but I’ll leave you by saying… for a debut novel, Marley Valentine knocked it out of the park and I can’t wait to see what else she’s got in store for us.

Can I start by saying this COVER - I absolutely love it! Stunning!
I was lucky enough to read a short story by this author in an anthology of bloggers that Marley Valentine was involved in. I enjoyed that story immensely, so to actually get a full length debut novel is superb! And it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! I absolutely loved it, and could not put it down, starting last night and finishing this morning...
Right from the very first pages of the Prologue I was hooked. The raw emotion that spilled from those pages had me clamouring for more, wanting to know where this story was going to go. I really don't want to say anything about the plot itself as I believe you need to absorb this one without spoilers.
Evie has been dealt a terrible and heartbreaking hand in life. With tragedies you'd want no person to have to suffer. But this story really highlights how individuals deal with grief in different ways. I loved how RAW this story was and how incredibly REAL things were. Evie is a very special person and deserves so much happiness in her life, even though she fights it at every turn...
"I might not be able to kiss you or touch you, but I can damn well fucking love you."
Lior is simply an amazing character. I totally fell in love with him, his patience, his love and his support. He is strong, supportive, kind and caring, and my word he's got some determination...
This is a slow burn romance, which for me I felt built up perfectly. It's not filled with unnecessary drama or angst, it's just a beautifully written, unique and memorable story, about grief, hope and survival through the darkest of times.
I would love to revisit these characters in the future. I wanted an epilogue or glimpse into what may happen next. I'm holding out hope for a book for the secondary characters though!! Elliott and Courtney are both amazing characters and a brilliant and important part of Evie and Lior's journey together - there is definitely scope for their own story.
**UPDATED** Having now read the published version, there IS an Epilogue and I've got to say it is pure perfection!! It made me cry, and totally completed the story for me!!! <3 LOVED IT!!!

Wow... this is a beautifully written debut novel. Marley Valentine did an amazing job writing it. It's raw and heartfelt. This is a story to be experience. The characters are well developed and I really liked them. Evie has had tragedy happen to her and she's still dealing with it her own way. She's in a dark place. Her grief was so real that I was able to feel her pain. Then Lior comes into Evie's life and brings light to her. From the the first moment they met, he saw something special in her. This drove him to know more about her.
"I store the way she looks right now in my memory. A reminder that she's a little bruised and not all broken."
I fell in love with Loir. He's understanding, patient, compassionate, determine, caring, but above all, he didn't see Evie as broken; someone that needed to be fix. He isn't pushy. He's willing to wait for her to come to him. He's by her side giving his support.
"I feel what he has been trying to tell me all along. I'm here. I've got you. Let it go."
I also loved Courtney. She's funny and what Evie needs in a friend. She's the friend that speaks what's in her mind. She encourages Evie to come out of her comfort zone and do things. I think the best was her lack of filter.
Then there's Elliot... the person that looks after Evie. He let her be, never pushed her to do something that she wasn't comfortable of doing. Elliot is an interesting character. Not much was said about him, but enough to know him a bit. I would like to know more.
Even though, Devastate was Valentine's debut novel, she wrote a short story in Smuttily Ever After anthology. That was the first thing I read about her, and I loved her writing style. I'm glad that she decided to continue to write. She's a talented writer and I will look forward to what is next from her.

A Story That Reaches Deep Into Your Heart!
5 Stars On The Menu
I believe it's true that everyone in life goes through tragedy at some point, some worse than others. I also believe that everyone grieves in their own way as well.
This story made quite an impact on me, with my head and my heart - so much so that the pain is still raw from what the main character went through.
"Please. Put your faith and trust in the way I feel about you, because that’s never going to change.”
This story had a powerful plot that would've had to have been written carefully to become a success and it was. The author planned the timeline of events perfectly and in turn created a beautiful story of heartbreak, resentment, living life yet not living, healing, and then learning to bring back love slowly - and with love also comes happiness and the beauty of living life again!

The characters in the book were excellent and relatable. There was humor at times and to be honest, there wasn't any huge drama which was actually refreshing for once. It was just a truly, almost realistic type book that made you feel - key word = feel!
I read page 1 and that was it, I said to myself, "Dear God, This is going to do me in and I'm either going to lose it or love it to pieces."
Take a guess??
