Selene Harper awoke in Death Valley with no memory of who—or what—she is. Capable of reading thoughts with a single touch, she’s unnerved by her ability, until it warns her of imminent danger. When an alluring man comes to her aid, neutralizing the threat, Selene can’t read his mind…but the stranger’s touch sets off a series of events that finds Selene a captive of the mysterious Glacial Blood Pack.
Shape-shifter Brayden Dillion, a deadly pack assassin, can only become a sentinel if he finds his mate. A miracle that seems less and less likely…until a favor for his mother puts him on a collision course with Selene. With help from the pack, they discover she’s a preciously rare breed of shifter who can absorb the form of any creature she touches. Brayden knows she’s meant to be his, but mating Selene is impossible unless she learns to control her immense powers.
Or until those powers are taken from her…
Welcome to the Glacial Blood series, a world of shifters and witches, magic and mayhem, unforgivable lies and unbreakable love. A world where family is born not only through blood, but bond. With plenty of the threats to come—and a secret that remains untold.
Nestled in the tranquil rural landscape near London, I'm a British author whose journey from the world of accounting to the realm of writing has been nothing short of transformative. While I occasionally revisit my numbers-oriented past, my days are predominantly filled with the harmonious dance between crafting compelling narratives and tending to my cherished family—my husband, two children, and a lively household of four cats and one dog . In those rare leisure moments, you'll find me lost in the enchanting world of poetry, delighting in the creation (and indulgence) of decadent cakes or fervently capturing moments through the lens of my camera.
Writing emerged as my beacon of hope in navigating the labyrinth of depression and anxiety. My insatiable love for literature and the boundless horizon of travel infuses my tales with the rich tapestry of my adventures. I strive to breathe life into my stories with an air of authenticity that resonates with readers.
Within the pages of my books, you'll encounter heroes exuding charisma and rugged allure, heroines embodying both grace and tenacity, all enveloped in the cloak of dramatic suspense.
Blurb: Selene Harper doesn’t know who is she and for that fact, what she is. If she touches someone, she hears all their intimate thoughts. Not so good when you want to start dating. And definitely not good when you are about to be thrown into the world of shape-shifting bears, wolves and wild cats.
Brayden Dillion is a shape-shifting snow leopard. He is the lead assassin of the Glacial Blood pack but has already been told that when he mates, he will be made Beta. That is the problem though. He cannot find his partner. Well, not until he goes to visit his mother and meets Selene.
The Touch of Snow is the first book in the new Glacial Blood series. A first paranormal book from the author, Anna Edwards. It tells the story of a voyage of discovery for both Selene and Brayden as they try to understand what fate has in store for them. The Glacial Blood world is full of intrigue, suspense and a family of friends. It also features a secret that should remain untold.
Family isn’t always blood; it’s the people in your life that accept you for what you are.

This is my second Anna Edwards book and I did enjoy this story. I really liked Brayden and how his character was written. I quite enjoy shifter books and I liked the diversity in this one with the variety of different animals and characters. This is a slow burn with a rather explosive climax, which I think allowed for more character and story development rather than many I've read where the good stuff happens and is over rather quickly. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes in book two and I am hoping to see more of Kas and Jessica as I am particularly intrigued by their characters.
Me and paranormal romance are like peanut butter and jelly. I stick to it no matter what. Paranormal romance is one of my favourite genres and when it is written to perfection, I gravitate towards. The Touch of Snow was just one of those paranormal romances that I just simply adored. Written by one of my favourite authors Anna Edwards, The Touch of Snow is a magnificent crafted paranormal beauty that proved to be one of my best reads of 2017.
The Touch of Snow was such a powerful shifter romance with a magnetic storyline that really impressed me. Magical. Dazzling. Stunning. Brilliant. Spellbinding. The Touch of Snow was an interesting story of love and destiny. I loved everything about this story. It was just an explosive plot of wonder that simply awed me and marveled my soul. I found myself really cast on a spell. Anna Edwards really took a risk and wrote such an engaging and riveting storyline that sparkled with so much life. I was deeply entranced. She wrote something so interesting and different that really made smile.
The Touch of Snow was about destiny and love between one snow leopard and a multi shifter. Selene and Brayden were such dynamic couple that I absolutely connected to. There was such beautiful rawness, openness and chemisty that really touched my heart. I loved them together. Selene was brave, young, resilient and a soman I related to a lot. Brayden was an alpha male that was strong, possessive and protective. They really brought so much to the story.
Anna Edwards really wrote an animalistic and awesome paranormal story. I recommend this book with all my heart.
ARC provided by Anna Edwards in exchange for an honest review.
Wow…I have got to get me one of those magnificent shape shifting men…so sexy and oozing alpha maleness… Brayden is the lead assassin for the Glacial Blood Pack when visiting his mother he meets Selene a waitress who is smart, gifted and has no recollection of her past….as their relationship develops it becomes clearer that their destinies are entwined and that their meeting was not just a matter of fate… this is an exciting suspenseful story of betrayal, divided loyalties, family rivalries, secrets, and love in all it’s forms with Brayden and Selene in the centre of proceedings.. I The premise for the plot is so original….I loved the alternate universe created by the author; the world was fully described with background detail in place which made it feel authentic….it was interesting to watch the characters develop through the pages of the book… I fell in love with the Glacial Blood pack of shape shifters with their tight bonds of family, friendship, loyalty and camaraderie… Kas and Jessica are secondary characters in this book but I can’t wait to read more about them in the future…
This is an awesome kickass paranormal romance; fast paced and full of action not to mention some steamy moments between Brayden and Selene that are off the scale hot and downright dirty.….this is such a great start to the series and thankfully there is the potential for plenty more to come…I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review
Touch of Snow ❄introduced the reader to the glacial blood pack We meet its members - a pretty varied mix of shifters and magic users We even get a taste of the villain and his sidekick We are given some of the back story - not enough to answer questions but more than enough to feed our curiosity
Selene is the heroine - not sure how I felt about her in the beginning. A little too needy though we find there is cause for this. She eventually finds her spine and becomes a worthy adversary but it takes a bit. Brayden is quick to act and is the packs' enforcer - again we do not get a whole lot of back story bits and pieces about his past her and there. It definitely sets up the suspense feel that runs in the backstory. A solid story line that engages and entertains - lots of twists and "Didn't see that coming" moments - not to mention the sweetest of romances. Again our heroine is very "new" (so not telling but that words speak volumes) to relationships and interpersonal skills. Some scenes did feel a bit choppy and at times the characters' interactions felt forced. This was not a consistent issue but it did throw me off a couple times. Now that my curiosity is peaked I look forward to the next in series
Touch of Snow is a new type of paranormal romance for me. It isn't your typical paranormal with vampires, werewolves, and witches (although I do enjoy those). Instead there are shifters and a very special one when it comes to Selene. I love how Anna Edwards weaves a love story and suspenseful plot into this book! Brayden and Selene are drawn to each other, but there's one problem...and it's a big one! Secrets surround the two of them, both of them doing their best to find out the truth about their pasts and figure out a way to be together. I loved the chemistry between Selene and Brayden despite the barrier they had. I also liked the secondary characters and how close they all were. This book is book one in a series, but with the way it ended, it's not a jaw dropping cliffhanger, but still one that made me want to read more in this series. Definitely recommend to those who enjoy paranormal romance and just romance in general!
I love shifter stories and this is no different. The Touch of Snow is that story of love, trust, and intimacy. This story has a hot sexy feline and a powerful creation of a shifter that everyone wants to get to know. Anna's writing is amazing, her books give you the feeling of a fabulous fantasy. You can read her books and wish you were in the story as a character to go through the scenes that make feel how they are supposed too.
This was a very good story. I liked both Selene and Brayden and enjoyed their story. This is the first story I've read by this author and I liked it well enough that I'd be willing to try more of her work in the future.
Selene is a waitress working at a diner in the Death Valley. She has the ability to read thoughts with a touch and doesn't remember anything before 6 months ago. Selene was taken in by Jane, the owner of the diner and she became a surrogate mother to Selene.
Brayden is a snow leopard shifter that lives with a pack made up of many different kids of shifters. Brayden's pack lives in the Glacier National Park and he's been with them all his life. His father died when Brayden was in his late teens and his mother moved away to Death Valley.
Brayden got a message from is mother that he should come to visit. When he does, Brayden meets Selene and is a bit concerned to find a strange woman staying with his mother when his mother didn't tell him anything about it. It soon becomes apparent that there's something unusual about Selene and Brayden's mom is supposed to fill him in on the details but things go sideways before that can happen. Selene ends up seeing Brayden shift and since that's a no-no, Brayden kind of freaks and ends up drugging her and taking her back to his pack to figure out what to do next.
Selene isn't thrilled to be abducted by Brayden but once she settles down and realizes that Brayden's pack may be able to help her figure her power out, she agrees to stay. Brayden finds himself drawn to Selene and is very protective of her even though (or maybe especially because) he's the one that put her in that position in the first place. As Selene works on controlling her powers, she and Brayden grow closer but there are some issues that cause difficulties for them as they try to get closer. It doesn't help that a bad guy is working against them, trying to work things so that he can take power for himself. After some drama and danger, Selene and Brayden are able to work things out and they end the story starting on a well deserved HEA together.
This was a very enjoyable story. I liked both Selene and Brayden very much and was happy to see them get together. Things weren't exactly smooth for them but I liked that they got through it together and were willing to fight for each other in the end. The story was pretty good and did well at keeping me engaged. Overall, I liked the story and characters very much and would recommend this story. :)
I'm a very big fan of all paranormal reads from Vampire to shifters to dragons and much more so I can say with her happy heart, this was a really enjoyable book. It's only a short story that you could read within a day but it has a good storyline and is very interesting throughout. It shows Selene a girl who has the ability to hear the thoughts of anyone who touches her. She wakes up in Death Valley a few months back, with no memory of her life before or who she is. Enter Jane mother Of the Beta of the Blood Glacier Pack (Brayden), she asks her son to help Selene find out who and what she is. From an unmonitored situation it's discovered that Selene also had the ability to turn into any Shifter upon touching them exposing them to the world. Due to the fact Selene is a multi Shifter she is a great danger to herself and others if those who use their powers for Darkness get a hold of her.
But with Selene unable to touch those without exposing them, even the man she starts to have feelings for they must go through trials in which to help Selene to gain control over her powers and to protect herself. But with evil forces showing their hand in order to get a hold of Selena the atmosphere changes quickly and Selene and Brayden will be forced to trust each other with their love to overcome the challenges.
This was a really enjoyable book and I will be moving on to the next to find out more about the Bood Glacier pack. This story had unusual shifters, true to their nature in every way, seductively hot Alpha Males and uniquely strong females who can hold their own against others. A nice introduction to Anna Edward's world.
WOW!!! This was Anna’s first paranormal and she did NOT disappoint. I love the Controlling series and this one rates right up there!!! I couldn’t put my kindle down. I had not yet read anything with a multi-shifter and this drew me right in. I knew that Selene and Brayden were going to connect from the moment Jane asked him to watch over Selene when she went on the date with the jock asshole. Brayden stayed in the shadows up until the time when Selene said no and jock asshole didn’t listen. Brayden’s fury resulted in his shifting even scaring Selene more. There begins the draw of our characters. Brayden took Selene to his pack’s home asking the leader, Kas, to protect her. Of course, he would agree and our hero and heroine have to survive the greed and misdeeds of Kas’ brother Nuka. Selene connects with Brayden’s pack and feels at home. She understands that family doesn’t always mean blood relation as non-blood can and many times does act and feel more like a family. The care and sensitive side of Brayden to physically connect with Selene is very touching! Our Brayden and Selene are finally able to come together as mates and physically – purrrrrrrfectly sizzling hot, hot, hot!!! The ending – WHAT???? I know there are twists with that one. There’s no way it will be the obvious…right?!? I am anxiously awaiting Book 2! Write on Anna! It’s a slam dunk!
Totally loved this book. This is my second book by Anna Edwards and I continue to be blown away!!!! She is a talented writer and her books only get better and better! Selene and Brayden... My heart just goes pitter-patter as it swoons over them. I really loved how while in animal form you get to her their thoughts, as most writers in this genre don't add that in. I also loved the multi verse of shifters in this book and how it wasn't just focused on one type. The world building in this was amazing. I loved the plot as it keeps you invested the whole way through. The characters are well written and grow on you quickly and you will be rooting for them the whole way. I also vastly loved the cover design as it is one that would pull be in if I saw I walked past it sitting on a shelf. Again LOVED this book so very much! 5 stars from me!!!!!
I voluntarily reviewed and ARC of this book for an honest review. Great book, great writing. Anna Edwards has done it again. I totally enjoyed this story. Boys mom meets and helps girl, girl needs help because she doesn't know who or what she is. Mom calls son for help. Love blossoms between the two. But love is not always smooth. There is alot to go through, before the touchy feely comes. But when it does Boom! Magic!
Ok, I liked this story, but found parts of it were confusing and other parts just weird. Not enough story telling for this this type of book so it felt like you still needed more information and the book was finished.
I really enjoyed this story. I couldn’t put it down it sucked me in from the beginning. This was my first book by this author and I def. will be reading the rest of this series.
Tried to read this twice now, but I can't really get past the "Oops, I panicked and drugged you, kidnapped you, and hauled you to my territory across the country" part.
Not normally my go to genre but I'm now converted.
Selene wakes up in the middle of nowhere with no memory of who she is or why she's there. One thing she does know, is that when she touches someone, she hears their thoughts - not always a good thing.
Brayden is the lead assassin of the Glacial Blood pack, a family of shifters - humans that shift into animal form, who is asked by his mother to help Selene figure out who and what she is.
When the two meet, they know there is something special between them. When Selene touches Brayden, she doesn't hear his thoughts, instead she starts to shift into a snow leopard - Brayden's animal form. Brayden knows that he wants Selene to be his mate but he's not the only one that has his eyes on her. Someone else also wants Selene, not for a mate but for her powers.
Will Brayden and Selene be together, or will she be taken away from him?
There's only one way to find out. I would recommend this book to anyone, whether it's your normal read or not. It had me hooked by the end of the first chapter. I loved it and I can't wait for the next installment of the series.
Great paranormal book! I enjoy reading this genre and The Touch of Snow is unique in that the different shapeshifters all live together as a pack. Each one is a different animal. There are also witches and warlocks. They all rely on one another for the needs of the whole pack. Brayden is a snow leopard. He's the enforcer of his pack. He prefers his solitude but is always there when he's needed. Brayden is part human from his mom and shapeshifter from his dad. He mets Selene who works at his moms diner while on a visit. He immediately feels that something is not quite right with her. He takes her back to his group to figure out what she is Selene is a mystery the pack is trying to unravel. She has many different abilities so no ones really sure what she is. This book is filled with action between the rival shapeshifters and fun banter between the main pack. It's also sexy with some hot scenes! The Touch of Snow has great main characters and well as intriguing secondary ones. Great start to an interesting series. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy
This is my first shifter read, and since I have always loved the big cats I really enjoyed this book. I hope I don't spoil anything but here are my thoughts. Selene and Brayden, She can read your thoughts with just a touch. She just wants to be a normal girl. Brayden, he just wants to get back to his mountains and his life alone. But a visit to his mother's and a request to watch out for her one night starts a need to protect her. Thrown together to try to find out where she came from, more secrets and questions come to light. Brayden brings her to his pack unknowing the dangers that may follow, can they be the secret to unifying the divided pack or the cause of an end.
A lovely written story. One of true love and strength.
Anna Edwards has done an amazing job in writing this story. I felt I was along for their journey. Not just reading about it. The feelings between Selene and Brayden were special. However, they didn't know how special until the time was needed.
I don't read many paranormal and I wouldn't just pick an author whose other work I had not read prior to read. I am so glad I had read Anna's other books or I may have missed out. Looking forward to seeing how this story develops.
The Touch of Snow by Anna Edwards is a wonderful paranormal romance. This is book one in the Glacial Blood Series. Selene and Brayden are fated mates. Brayden is a shifter snow leopard and Selene can read people's thoughts when she touches them. Their meeting causes them to join forces to try to figure out who and what Selene is. Full of excitement, romance and intrigue this book was an excellent book that I highly recommend and I look forward to further additions to this series.
I love reading paranormal romance and The Touch of Snow is one of the best. I loved the fact that they could speak to one another while in animal form. This is also the first one I've read with multi-shifters and it was great. I'm really happy the two main characters got to be together. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I voluntarily read a review copy of this book
Very complex plot, so shifters, hybrid, humans ruled by a council that may or may not have some involvement with some evil members of other packs. The love story between the H and h was quite sweet, but very much young love with the bite of teen angst. This seems to be HFN with so much more story to come about the h's future, who she is and what her powers will be.
3,5* It was different than I expected from the cover. I actually thought it would be a smutty romance with a bit of a story added to fill the pages. But it wasn't, really. It actually has a nice storyline! And yes, also a bit of 'smut' ;)
I've downloaded the second book, let's find out how this pack's story continues.
The Touch Of Snow is the first book in the Glacial Blood series and the first book I have read by Anna Edwards. I really liked this! I have never read a book with so many different shifters and also the way Selene was! I loved Brayden and Selene! Looking forward to reading book #2!
Paranormal is not my go to genre but i enjoyed this book a lot.
I liked the strong connection the main characters had between them from the first time they met. Can not wait to read more books in the series by this author (Anna Edwards).
Absolutely loved this!Totally different from what im used to with Anna Edwards.Love Brayden and Selene.Their love story was epic.Hope this continues on.Recommend
I sat down to read this book and finished it in one sitting. I, absolutely, loved it. The love and devotion between Brayden and Selene is more than sexual. Mates for life!
