Cougarville's mechanic, and resident Alpha fox, shelters a mysterious woman who ignites his protective animal instincts when evil forces try to tear them apart.

So, in this story we will have again an older woman that rejuvenates and becomes the potential mate of a much younger Cougarville shifter.
The new elements in this book are:
1. The fact that Jo is a Hearth witch. Thus, witches are introduced in the series.
2. Huge wolflike creatures play a part in the story. Thus, I can imagine that one if the next stories will be about their Alpha , Jase. Yes, I am looking forward to it because I love wolf shifters!
3. A potential important enemy is int ...more

I have read the other books in this series bu feel this is easily a standalone book.
This is the story of Jo Ferrel and Reese Cooper.
Jo is a witch that her and her fellow witches only practice White Magic. Unknown to Jo and the other, Jo has started a rejuvenation process which some women when they reach a certain age go through. The process set in motion the women looking and feeling way younger than her actual ...more
When Jo began the rejuvenation process, her fellow witches noticed, and thought her to be practicing 'black magic'. She was excommunicated from the coven, and set adrift. Being herded through the woods, Jo makes her way to Reese's property.
Reese is Cougarville's resident mechanic and one and only Fox shifter. He's a sweet, caring man, willing to literally give the shirt off his back to help anyone.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!
This is the 3rd book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. In this book, there is the sensitive topics abduction and threat of rape. I mention it for those readers who may be affected by these topics. I also highly recommend reading the bo ...more

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.
Hmmm, where to start with this review? This was the third installment in this series and I had a much more difficult time connecting with these characters than I did in the previous books.
Jo is running. What she's running from, she's not sure - she just knows that someone or something is after her and until she can ...more
I'm happy to say that this series keeps getting better and better with each book that I read from it. I really enjoyed the first two books, they did a wonderful job of setting up the series, but I loved Stone Cold Fox!
I think it had to do with Reese. From book one I really liked him. He is one of those characters that keeps you thinking about them even when you're done with the book. From Naked Buck where he is int ...more
I loved that fact that the author made Jo a witch. It truly made the story truly interesting. They both served the goddess but in a different way. This was Reese’s first time meeting a witch and Jo’s first time meeting a shifter I had t wonder what was going through her mind.
Oh, I did not like Bianca. She was one evil, wel ...more

Welcome back to Cougarville! Stone Cold Fox is the story of Reese (the fox shifter/auto mechanic) and Jo, the Juvie/Wiccan. This series is a bit strange but I totally love it!
Jo is a Wiccan practitioner who was kicked out of her coven because they thought she was using dark magic to appear younger. Turns out, she is just a Juvie (if you have read the previous 2 books, you understand this! If not, they do explain it a bit in the story). However, she has had a difficult past when it comes to men ...more
This is the third book in the series - and I would recommend that you start at the beginning of the series to fully enjoy this story. We catch up with the sisters and their mates, as well as get the foxy story of Reese and his destiny with exiled Wiccan witch, Jocasta (Jo).
Running through this series is the question of who and why there is an increased level of juvvies coming into Cougarville, and this one has another tw ...more
I was extremely eager to get my hands on this book, and thankfully, it lived up to my eager anticipation of it!

I like this story, Reece was a great character and although I struggled with Jo at time I still think she was a good match for Reece. Overall, I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more.
Right off the bat, one of the things that I loved most about this book was how different it is. Most paranormal books stick to only one "branch" of paranormal, yet this book had the shifter, as well as the witches. Which I thought was a great addition because it added something more to the story.
Jo's story is one that was full of heartbreak, but even with that, it made this ...more
- I liked the story and I liked the end. I'm going to repeat what I wrote the last time: The story really finishes at the last chapter; the epilogue brings you to the next book - and the next hero - and contains a really nice cliffhanger (you know, not too much of a cliffhanger to despair about it).
- I was a bit uneasy at seeing we had a witch in this story - the other stories in the series contained an h with a regular job, a regula ...more
I have loved this series, especially the uniqueness of the storylines, the type of shifters, and the rejuvenation process that the females go through to be mated with the males. As much as I was looking forward to reading this book, there were several issues that kept me from being able to fully enjoy it. It had a great storyline, but it was the characters, mostly Jo, that I had difficulties with.
Jo had been through a lot during her life, and I truly felt for her because of this. ...more

As a reader who is unashamedly addicted to shifter romance, Stone Cold Fox should have been a story that I devoured. I didn’t. I know why I didn’t, but I have to admit to wanting to hold out until the next story to decide if I’ll continue with this series. Stone Cold Fox will get an official 3.5 rating which I’ll round up to 4 since no where has those half points. It’s a good story basically, so as a good story it deserves the 3, I’ll give it the .5 because I love an ...more
