Suffering from writer's block, a recently divorced writer takes a vivid journey back to his childhood in San Francisco, in an effort to sort through his present, complicated life
Abominable writing; a thinly veiled autobiography peppered with dull anecdotes and vulgarities. The premise of searching for the ingredients to complete a grandmother's ravioli recipe leading the author on a journey through his past and present relationships to his family is a good one, but the execution is flawed simply by a gross lack of talent. Do yourself a favour and dine out.
