Ross Denton grew up in the entertainment business. Once his grandpop passed away, Ross realized being on stage wasn't his dream. He was now living his dream as a rancher. All he needs is a wife and a passel of kids and life would be perfect. And the new gal in town seemed to fit that bill perfectly until he found out she was an actress.

Sugar Ray Lenox came to this small town—without a specialized coffee shop—to help out her friend, Haley. And she had great plans to do a summer theater program that would get her recognized and send her to stardom. Something she was always meant for. So no, she wasn't going to fall for no handsome cowboy. Especially one that wouldn't give her his barn to use for her theater.

Mule Hollow, Texas might seem like a quiet laid-back town... And it mostly is unless you happen to be single and find yourself on the Matchmaking Posse's radar. Than life is anything but quiet. Those three women will stop at nothing to get a man and woman together that have “sparks” igniting between them. I love every page-turning story!

I have to confess, I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Each book so far has been great and I'm looking forward to reading the next in line. For this story, Sugar Ray Lenox has arrived in town to regroup and work on a plan to get Hollywood producers to notice her. She's determined to build a theater in Mule Hollow that will win her fame and hopefully fortune with a film contract. All she needs is a space and a leading man to work with her.

Ross Denton grew up in the theater and walked away to pursue his dreams of ranching. All he needs now to make his life complete is a wife and family. However, when he's pressured to allow the new beauty in town to use his barn for a theater, he's determined to resist because he doesn't want that life again.

What follows is a fun tale of two determined individuals realizing that a little compromise can be good and that God's plans aren't necessarily as black and white as you might think. Sometimes you have to let go of your dreams and let God mold them into the dream He has for you - the one that fulfills everything.

I have come to really enjoy this series. The premise is that three mature ladies, The Matchmakers, in the town of Mule Hallow, write a nationwide ad advertising the town’s men with the tag line “Wives Wanted Campaign’. Each story has been a joy to read . One of my favorites was book 1 in the series, and this one is not far behind.
The couple in this one are Sugar Ray Lenox and Ross Denton, whom we have met in previous stories. These two are attracted to each other , but their goals are at the opposite ends of the spectrum. One dreams of being a star, while the other one left fame and the spotlight to live a quiet life as a rancher. But life has a sense of humor and things don’t always go as you thought you might want them to. It a joy to watch these two find their HEA.

This was a sweet, well-written faith-based contemporary romance. Sugar Ray Lenox has a dream to make it in Hollywood, but she's had a setback and she comes to Mule Hollow, TX to help a friend. Ross Denton walked away from fame to become a rancher and now he wants to find someone to marry and settle down with. Sugar and Ross find themselves attracted to each other, but their goals are very different. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is part of the Texas Matchmakers series, all set in Mule Hollow, TX and with related characters. This is another great book in the series and I look forward to reading more of the series as well as other books by this author.

Another great book in the Texas Matchmakers series. Sugar Ray moves to Mule Hollow to help out her friend Haley and also to start a summer stock production. Ross Denton is ready to settle down - he just needs to find the right woman. From their first meeting, he knows he's hooked but will Sugar Ray stay around long enough for them to become a couple? As usual, there is a delightful animal thrown into the story in the form of a beaver. This is a must read.

"Give up on your dreams and settle down -- it's a COMPROMISE!"

Anything good about this book is overshadowed by the ridiculousness and boundary-violating nature of the characters. I know the message is supposed to be "don't be stubborn! let good things come to you even if you don't expect them!" but if you find this book to be good, well, maybe you're too dense to understand that message. Two stars are for the fact that the author's writing style kept me engaged.

Serenade Me, Cowboy is the ninth book in the Texas Matchmakers series. This can be read as a standalone. Sugar and Ross are attracted to each other but learn that they have completely opposites goals in life. Will Mule Hollow be just the thing that they each need? I really enjoyed this book, and I definitely recommend it.

This is a great series full of faith, love and interfering townsfolk. I love the way the author uses great examples of struggles with faith as well as in site. The sweet/combative romance of Ross and Sugar is so fun to read. This is a great read.

Inspirational Love Story - Dreams Do Come True!

This engaging book is part of an extended series and was a gift. Placed deep in the heart of Texas Hill Country, the story follows the main character's path as she gives her all in an effort to achieve her life long dream. The story is both entertaining and inspirational and I highly recommend it.

love this series. Uplifting,fun clean romances.
Sugar is in town to start a summer theater program that will help Mule Hollow and creat a buzz about her acting career and help Haley with her office again.
Ross takes a look at Sugar and is ready to stake his claim he does not neet the matchmakers. Then he finds out she is an actress and wants no part of that business again.
Sugar finds out that Ross has a big empty barn that will be great as a summer theater. Also that for years he was part of his family show in Branson. But he does not want to let her use his barn at all.
Fun to watch the sparks fly. its funny and most of these books have funny animals in them this time its a rambo Beaver on attack.

Another great book

Sugar and Ross make the best couple yet. I loved the give and take in this book. All the characters are fantastic.
