This book was awesome. From small chuckles to full blown laugh out loud to tears. All the emotion one wants to feel while reading are contained in this story. Love Jake and Laura who are imperfectly perfect for each other.
This story grabs you from the first page and doesn't let go. Am so looking forward to reading the rest of this trilogy. I want to go to Faithful and stay awhile.

When Jake Bennett's brother, Sam calls him saying he needs a favor, he has no idea how it could change his life. This small town Doctor has closed himself off and just lives for work and his family. So he is not going to let his brother down. Jake is sad, lonely, lost, and still grieving, but keeps it bottled up.

But when this favor ends up with him taking two women back to his hometown of Faithful, Tennessee and watching out for them, he is unprepared for his own reaction. He doesn't l

Jake Bennett is quick to help his brother when asked, but never expected he’d be transporting 2 women across several states and keeping watch over them in his hometown. He carries baggage he hasn’t had to face and as a result avoids relationships with women outside his family and friends.

Laura Howard finds herself in a situation beyond her imagination, needing help from strangers for the safety of herself and her friend, Esther. Finding herself in Faithful, Tennessee, she finds a peace

4.0+ RATING - This is the second book I’ve read by the author and it definitely won’t be the last. With solid writing and plenty of steam, the author did a great job of introducing the town of Faithful and some of its residents. I really liked both of the main characters. Both characters, especially the hero, were struggling with different things but both conducted themselves like grown adults. There was no craziness, no drama, no immaturity. The story was well paced and scored bonus points for ...more

I am privileged to be chosen to receive this book as part of Anna Bishop Farmer's ARC team. Below is my review of the amazing book.

I was totally blown away by Journey To Faitful by Anna Bishop Barker.
This is a story of new beginnings, battling demons of the past and moving forward.
With each word I was mesmerized, I could feel the terror, imagine the fear, uncertainty each person felt, experienced at any given moment. Anna has the ability to allow my mind to delve into the pages of her book, as

I love this book. Journey To Faithful is the first book in a series by Anna Bishop Barker and the first book I read by this talented author. Ms. Barker’s prose is filled with so many elements that make me latch onto her story and keep it in my heart--undercover mystery, romance, baggage and secrets to resolve, and loveable characters; it is the perfect combination for me.

When I started reading I thought is it would focus on Sam Bennett the sexy undercover FBI agent who is trying to save two w

The title of this book has a double fold meaning. Yes, physically our characters are traveling to Faithful, but it is the hearts and souls of Jake, Laura and Esther that are seeking sanctuary in the small town. Each one is deeply scarred by extreme circumstances.
Jake is our reluctant hero, thrown into the mix by his brother Sam, an FBI agent. Sam needs someone he can trust to get Laura and Esther to safety. Who better than his conflicted older brother, a doctor in the community of Faithful?

I want to go to Faithful

This is just the second book from Anna Bishop Barker. There are so many things to day about this book .
I love Jake and Laura, their story makes you cry, laugh and believe in love. I can't wait on Esther' s story. There is so much in this book, there is some bad, but the good takes all those feelings away. I can't say enough good things about this book.

I am still amazed at the ability of this new author to create a story and characters that grab me by the throat. Her first book, an aside to Cristin Harber's Titan Series, read like it had been written by a seasoned author. This new book, first in a series, is heart stopping and heartbreaking on every level. The depth of the characters is unreal. You feel Laura's sense of isolation and Jake's pain of unimaginable loss from the onset. Yet through Barker's skill in weaving a story, these damaged s ...more

What a wonderful ride Anna has given us yet again. As an introduction into a trilogy, I cannot wait for what comes next.

Learning of The Brotherhood Cult, the immense lifelong scars it has left on two amazing strong and powerful women who escape to find freedom only to fight their inner demons at every turn. To the men who help them and have their own inner battles to fight as well. You will find yourself immersed at every turn rooting for another person or multiple people as Jake, Sam, Laurie a

When I started reading this book told from multiple points of view I was not immediately hooked. Whose story was it? Then I related thee journey is not just that of Jake and Laura but of all those who have come to Faithful. It's the journey of a man who is haunted by his past. It's the journey of a woman ethno had no choice of her present. It's the the journey of a man who is lost. It's the journey of a woman who is starting an adventure. And it's the journey of a man who just lost it all (but I ...more

I've spent the last several hours since I finished this book thinking about what I wanted to say about it and the word that remains uppermost in my thoughts is balance. Yes, there was suspense, but there was also humor, there was love and there was hate, there was emotional connection and turmoil, there was pain and so much pleasure, there was devastating loss and sweet, sweet promise. In many ways this is a story about family. Whether the family is by blood or chosen, often these are the people ...more

Recommends it for: All romantic suspense lovers.
OMG, Anna did it again!!! I totally love Jake and Laura's story. It is so full of all the things! All the emotion and suspense and love. I laughed. I cried. I cussed. I screamed. I stopped short of throwing things, other than a tantrum in Ms. Barkers Facebook group. Really, the pages flew by. My only wish was that it was longer. I could have read about Jake & Laura FOR DAYS not just a couple hours. But this is a trilogy, so hopefully we will get more Jake & Laura sprinkles in the next bo ...more

This is a very intriguing book. In the beginning you would think it is about one brother when in fact it is about the other brother. This is a story about a couple of women leaving a cult compound and trying to find a new life. I love the story of Laura and Jake. Two lost souls finding each other - who doesn't love a great love story. I won't lie but there are a couple of sad parts to this story and it will make you cry. FANTASTIC job Anna!

I was given this advanced copy of the book and it is FAN

This book is a fantastic roller coaster of emotions. Very few books can have me laughing, aww-ing, crying and rooting for even the secondary characters. I was hooked from the very first page. Laura is so strong and a perfect match for Jake. i love that she calls him on his shit and that he's man enough to apologize. They both have heartbreaking pasts that they work through as they come together. I can't wait for Sam and Esther to get their happily ever afters with their specific soul mates. But ...more

I read Anna's debut Going Under and loved it,so I was so excited to read Journey To Faithful! She did not disappoint. It's a sweet story of coming back from tragedy and learning to open up to love again, and a little suspense thrown in.

The characters are vivid in your mind, like watching the movie version while reading. Sam and FBI man,his brother Jake the doctor. I could see them in my mind, felt like I knew them. Can't wait to see where it all leads, how everyone's story ends. I highly recommend

I loved this book. It made me smile, cry and laugh. This is one of the best gifts a book can give you. The chemistry between Jake and Laura was great. Their journey to one another was full of challenges and rewards. I loved Mercy and Grace and their bickering. I think a lot of us can think of two older female relatives who bicker like that and make us alternately laugh or take a deep breath praying for patience. I look forward to the next 2 books about Esther and John, and Sam and Delilah.

Journey to Faithful is interesting because it’s not just a suspenseful love story, it’s also a deeply moving tale of finding love. But don’t make the mistake of confusing the two, they’re not the same. This is Jake and Laura’s story, how they meet and fall in love and the suspense that’s involved of course, which is handled wonderfully. It’s bittersweet and lovely, woven with a delicate touch.

Jake and Laura, each in their own way, are making their way not only to the physical town of Faithful,

This book grabbed me from page one and sucked me into the characters’ lives. Anna has a gifted way with words that makes you feel like you are actually in the story with her characters. I love the descriptions of the different locations in the book and how her words paint a literal picture in your mind. I could honestly hear the sounds and songs in my head as I was reading. I struggled with the rating for this book, and even more so with the review. I used to rate everything 5 stars and say how great it was, because I never wanted to hurt someone’s feelings, but that doesn’t help the author grow, I still don’t want to hurt feelings, especially Anna’s because she is a lovely person that I consider a friend, however, I need to be honest. And let me just say here, before I get started that I know my opinion isn’t going to be popular, I’ve seen reviews

Journey to Faithful is the sophomore book of author Anna Bishop Barker. I didn't think she could improve her storytelling skills over her freshman entry. I was wrong.

Dr. Jake Beckett and Laura Howard (along with Sam, Esther, Kyle, Aponi, Delilah and Mercy) take us along a journey of damage endured, fear, escape, and redemption. Jake and Laura each travel through their hell that keeps them from connecting with each other and anyone else in a personal way. Their damaged hearts do not deem the jou

I was privileged to have received this as an ARC in exchange for my honest review. Journey to Faithful is Ms. Barker's sophomore novel and was a fantastic story.

This book was both heartfelt and gut-wrenching. Sam Beckett, an FBI agent, has been in deep cover within a cult, known as The Brotherhood, when things go from bad to worse. Laura and Esther are in desperate need of help and either Sam helps them or they'll die. Breaking his cover, he contacts his brother, Jake, for assistance in hiding

Wow....Is this really just Anna's second book? Job well done!

Being the first in the trilogy, this book is full of characters that will be in and around throughout it all. While concentrating on Jake and Laura, Anna tells us a story of love lost and new unexpected love found while assembling a cast that makes you want to move to Faithful to meet. Thrown in to all that's good are some seriously crazy people who are trying to shake the very existence of their lives.

I'm extremely looking forward to

Wow what a wonderful story

Journey to Faithful is one journey that everyone needs to take not only to heal from a tragedy but just to heal one's soul. Perhaps you only need to recharge before continuing on or just wait for the next road you'll take is shown to you.

Both Laura and Esther took the journey away from their pain and in turn Laura healed Jake by giving him a second chance to find love as well as giving her the gift of healing her soul in Faithful.

Journey to Faithful is captivating from beging to end. it is a story of adversity, love, loss, redemption and hope.

I am amazed at Anna Bishop Barker's ability to paint such striking images with her words; she makes the characters and locations come to life. I feel like I know Jake and Laura. And the secondary characters... I found myself as invested in them as I was Jake and Laura. Anna gave us a glimpse of thing's to come and I will be impatiently waiting for their stories.

Well Anna, what can I say. I absolutely loved it. The characters are different, yet they all fit together in their own way. It was lovely to see things developing happily for Jake & Laura. I laughed & cried. Tears when reading are rare to me, but I couldn't help it. I'm so glad there is more to come in Faithful and can't wait to read Sams story. Please don't make us wait too long. Your dream is coming true.xx

This is the second book I have read of Anna (I know this is only her second book), but there is only one word to describe this book and that is "wow"!! This book drew me in and I could not get enough of it. The characters were well-developed. The story made me laugh and cry. I could not get enough of it! Anna knows how to weave a story the both breaks and heals your heart. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a spectacular story!

Journey to Faithful was captivating, suspenseful, funny and sweet.

Jake helped his brother Sam by taking two women home to Faithful with him. Along the way Laura manages to get Jake to break down his ironclad walls and let her in. Laura is not without reserve herself and often uses quick come backs and witt to get by. This was an amazing start to what is sure to be a great series by Anna Bishop Barker.

I was gifted this as an ARC for my honest opinion

I loved everything about Journey to Faithful. I loved the characters of Jake, Laura, Esther, Mercy, Grace etc. I got furiously angry about how Esther and other girls were treated by The Brotherhood. I also shed a few tears at times.
I look forward to reading Sam, Esther and Kyle’s stories in the future.
