Find out the answer to these questions and lots more about how all kinds of food grows.
Emily Bone grew up among the rolling hills of Hampshire, writing stories about the ants and birds in her garden. After studying English at Cambridge, she found her dream job at Usborne in 2007. Since then, she's written about many weird and wonderful creatures, along with books on space, fashion and food.
This is a brilliant book! I got it from my local library for my step daughters who are super interested in growing plants and where food comes from, I was pleasantly surprised when even I learnt some things too, especially about food from overseas and there were even somethings I'd never known in the pages of this book, so it was a good book for us all to learn from.
I really like the illustrations, they are very beautiful and inspiring to both children and adults, it's a darling book. The layout really helps explain to children step by step and some pages even have set pieces of information that make it really easy to learn about, following on to another topic quite easily; it all flows lovely.
Well done to the Author and the Illustrator, you've both done a great job, so much so we decided to buy this book as a reference for the kids to look over, time and time again.
