”Love doesn’t have time frames or set limits. It’s either there or it isn’t. In fact, the people who wait months or even years to figure it all out make me question whether it’s really love they feel. Sounds to me like they need convincing, and love shouldn’t need that.”

It’s time to head back to the quaint little town of WhyNot, North Carolina, to find out if the last remaining single Mancinkus sibling is about to get her true love story.

The last of the Mancinkus clan finds love….

Larkin and Deacon were sultry, sexy, Southern perfection. Deacon was a rolling stone and intended just a brief stop in the little town of Whynot, North Carolina. Larkin soon had him changing his mind with her sweet baked goods and her even sweeter personality. She was shocking her neighbours with (gasp) overnight stays, but Deacon’s pull was irresistible. I loved how they were together. From dinner with parents to a hilarious handcuff incident, there wa

I’ve been waiting FOREVER for this book. Finally!

I loved Deacon and Larkin. Deacon the nomad biker passing through town and Larkin the sweet, shy baker. I adore small town romances. So I’ve loved this series and the small town of Whynot.

This was light and sweet and low on the drama. The only thing I didn’t like was the fade to black sex scenes. We only get a few sweet kisses here and there. Not even some heavy petting. Which is a shame, because Deacon is probably the hottest Hero in the series

I am going to miss Whynot, North Carolina, the Mancinkus family, and the intrusive, crazy, yet wonderful citizens as Gimme Some Sugar is the last book in author Juliette Poe’s Sex and Sweet Tea series. From the very first page in the first book until the last page of this one I have been captivated by this series and truly hope Ms. Poe (aka Sawyer Bennett) continues to write under this pen name. A sassy, sweet, heroine with a bit of confidence problem when it comes to her looks and a drifter bik ...more

I had been looking forward to this book for a while and dreading it at the same time, strange I know but that is because it is the last book in the Sex and Sweet Tea Series and I am truly going to miss the Mancinkus family.

Juliette Poe did a wonderful job with each of the books by not only grabbing my attention but by creating characters I truly cared about and wanted to continually see them grow not only in each of their own HEAs but as the family unit as well. For me Larkin hit a soft spot

Have you been introduced to Sawyer Bennett’s sweet and sassy alter ego, Juliette Poe? If not, then you must rectify that immediately because you are missing out on something so sweet and charming that you won't know what to do with yourself. Not only are the covers unique and gorgeous…so are the characters and the stories found within. 𝐆𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫 is book five in

It’s been a minute since I spent some time in Whynot, but from the first page it felt like I had never left. The small town vibe, the gossip mill and the Mancinkus family made me feel like I was home and watching as Larkin ~ the last Mancinkus left standing ~ found love in the most unexpected of ways was all kinds of fun and kept me turning the pages until there were no more words to read.

I adored Deacon and Larkin. Deacon is so much more that his appearance suggests. Straight f

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

I have really been enjoying this series, as each book has been released. The town of Whynot and its residents may be small town, but they're full of heart. Particularly our main characters, the Mancinkus family.

This time it's Larken's story that we get, with Deacon Locke, who previously met at the end of the previous book. Deacon is a pretty awesome dude, and I like how he pushes Larken to see herself how he see's her, not how he

Absolutely adored this story and what a great book to wrap up the series! Deacon Locke and Larkin Mancinkus are quite an unlikely pair. She is steady and steadfast. She's grown up in Whynot, NC and has no plans to leave. She owns her own business and co-owns another. Larkin simply can't imagine her life without the quirky folks of Whynot and her big crazy family. Deacon is a traveller full of wanderlust and no roots to tie him down. As these two spend time together and feelings begin to develop ...more

Classic opposite attracts. Larkin is a small-town girl who lives a simple life as an owner of Sweet Cakes Bakery as well as working at her new B&B. Larkin stays tight with family and friends. Deacon spent his life traveling the world with no plan of slowing down. But when he rolls into Whynot and nearly knock out the gorgeous bakery owner, tongues waggle and gossips fly. The two are like magnets. They can’t stay away from each other as the sizzling chemistry slowly brews. I love the characters – ...more
Deacon Locke is a fly by the seat of his pants kind of guy. He’s traveled the world on his Harley enjoying the places and people he gets to meet without any particular timeframe or destination. When he decides to spend some time in the town of Whynot, North Carolina he never expected that the pretty baker would intrigue him so much as to lure him to stay for good.

Gimme Some Sugar is such a sweet romance. I already loved Larkin before she got her new book, and I absolutely adored Deacon for her. The shy small-town woman and the edgy motorcycle alpha traveling man worked well together.
I also enjoyed seeing all of Larkin's family, because they're all a hoot.
The slow burn of the romance worked very well, and Larkin and Deacon took their time to get to know each other before they got more serious with each other. Or as serious as they could become with Deacon

Lakin Mancinkus has spent her whole life in Whynot, NC. She runs a bakery in town, and loves the connection to her hometown that comes from running the business. She doesn’t have time for relationships, what with running her bakery and the food side of her brother’s B&B. But in addition to time, she has always felt a little self-conscious about the little extra weight she carries.

Deacon Locke is just passing through - that’s how he lives his whole life, traveling on his motorcycle, working a va

Gimme Some Sugar is the final book in this series that I loved. Larkin is the last of the Mancinkus siblings to find love. And she does so with a sexy, motor cycle riding, Deacon Locke!!

Deacon is in town doing some work before he heads down to Florida to spend some time with his buddy. When he meets Larkin the attraction is instant. They are really an unlikely pair. She is a southern girl through and through and never plans on leaving Whynot. Deacon is a wanderer of

I have so loved this series! Larkin is the last to find love in their family. She is the twin sister who owns the bakery and part owner with her brother and his wife of the bed and breakfast in Whynot. She loves her family and her town. I hated that she didn’t think she is very attractive and pudgy. It was especially hard when mean women said nasty things to her. There were a couple of women in the book I would have liked to see taken down! Deacon is so good looking and a wanderer. I was so glad ...more

5 Star Review of Gimme Some Sugar (Sex & Sweet Tea #5) by Juliette Poe

This was a fun, quick read full of romance, laughter and love of family. This is Larkin Mancinkus and Deacon Locke’s story and I was captivated from the first to the last page. I really didn’t want to start this book as I believe this marks the end of the series which I have grown to love and yet once I started I couldn’t put it down.

Gimme Some Sugar is the fifth book in the Sex and Sweet Tea series by the talented Juliette Poe. She always writes naughtier books under the name Sawyer Bennett. I love them all! Each book can be read as standalone.

Larkin is one of five siblings and owns the local bakery in the small town of Whynot. She opened her business six years ago and just hasn’t had time to date. She also recently became partner with her brother and sister-in-law in the local bed and breakfast and that’s where she first

Deacon likes to state facts, “I’m a big man, darlin’,” he drawls, patting his stomach again. “And when I’m hungry, I eat.” Deacon sure is a bossy one, "his lips quirk up, his eyes sparkling. “Drop the robe. Get back in bed.” I liked this book, I fell in love with Deacon.

I really enjoyed Gimme Some Sugar by Juliette Poe, it's was one of those books you don't want to put down.
The writing is well done, the storyline is sweet, fun, romantic, entertaining from start to end and all the characters added to my overall enjoyment.

Larkin and Deacon are both passionate, likable, honest people with huge hearts and would do anything for their loved ones. I loved watching them fall in love, they made me smile, swoon and smile some more.

Stepping back into wistful Whynot, North Carolina, was the best thing. Hanging back out with the Mancinkus clan that the author created, has got to be the easiest, yet fulfilling read you could have. I love the diversity of her characters, each having their own engaging story. Not one of them was below par IMO, enabling the delicious assortment to purely entertain.

I’m a huge fan of Sawyer Bennett’s alter ego Juliette Poe’s sweet and sassy side, and I was beyond excited to head back to the small town of Whynot, North Carolina because I’ve been waiting for Larkin Mancinkus’ story ever since being introduced to and getting to know her in previous books. This sweet as sugary baker deserves her happily ever after, just like the rest of her siblings have found, and I was eager to see who Poe brought to Whynot for that very reason.

Gimme Some Sugar is the first book I've read in the Sex and Sweet Tea series and it didn't disappoint. I could tell that if you've read the previous book, this one does give you some updates. That didn't really make me miss anything in the story, but really made me want to go back and pick up the first four.

Gimme Some Sugar takes place in Whynot, North Carolina (I love the name of this small town). From what the author describes it's your typical small town and she made me want to go and live th

Larkin Mancinkus is a Whynot native with deep roots in the community. She has a close family and owns two businesses in town. She has always been a bit insecure and shy since she is not as thin and outgoing as her twin sister, Laken. But she is well liked, sweet, and sassy. She is a hard worker and never really takes a break, and does not have much of a social life.

Deacon Locke passed through town on his Harley and decided to swing back by to see her again. He looks like a bad boy dream. He is a

Deacon is a hot, bad boy biker (though he is really super sweet) and Larkin is the small town girl, she owns her own bakery. He is constantly moving around, taking jobs here and there and Larkin is the girl that has no plans to ever leave her small town. Complete opposites of one another.

Gimme Some Sugar was more of a 3 1/2 star read for me, but I've rounded the rating up to 4 stars because I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to this series about the Mancinkus siblings all finding their HEA's.

It is finally Larkin's turn to find love. I did enjoy the relationship that developed between Larkin and Deakin, but I did get a bit tired of her constant second guessing herself with regards to Deacon and how difficult she found it to believe someone
