Sarah has done it again! She has brought me into the magical version of Toronto with another mystery waiting to be solved. As this is the third book in the series we've gotten to know the main characters well so there's no time wasted when getting into the case. Although a tad predictable I was still quite engaged in the story and had the feels at the end of the Book.

Enough loose ends to be curious what the next book will bring to the series. I'm looking forward to it. <3

As usual, each book in this series continues to set it's own unique pace and style and has never failed to entertain me to my utmost delight. When I opened up to the first page of Detective Docherty and the Sorcerer's Game, I subjected myself to a roller coaster ride destined for tragedy, yet filled with such thrilling intensity that I was not able to put down the story once during my first read-through. Personally, I'm calling this the best one of the series. It turned a little darker than the earlier books have gone (which I like), and the character development was more in depth, each showing distinct differences between the person they want others to see, and the person they are deep down. Interesting delve into post-traumatic stress (probably a more severe problem with magic, mind control, curses and so on).
