Well, I wouldn't say that the poses illustrated in the books are the best. They are in fact mostly common poses for basic and intermediate levels.
Some advanced poses include: the Handstand, the Firefly, the Eight Angle, the Peacock, the Shoulder Press, the Side Reclining Leg Raise, the Bird of Paradise, the Side Crow, the Upward-Facing Two-Foot Staff, the Supported Headstand.
This book is like a compilation of different sources (both texts and pictures) rather than an originally written one with careful and deep research into the field. However, it comes in handy, especially for self-taught yogi as the author notes down necessary information for every pose - the focus of the pose on a Yogi's body, its level, time, contraindications as well as steps to follow.
