A TASTE OF YOU is one of those books that just put a smile on your face; a feel good story with lots of depth.

I really enjoyed how Stanley took emotionally scarred individuals, who clearly had some truly difficult issues to overcome, but didn't make that the focus of the story- telling.

Eve was amazing! Her strength and ability to accept and even joke at her own flaws but still not let it bog her down made her one of my most favorite contemporary romance characters this year.

Book Review For: A Taste of You by Teri Anne Stanley 'A Taste of You' By Teri Anne Stanley is book Three in the "Bourbon Brothers" series. This is the story of Eve and Nick. This is actually the first book I have read by Ms. Stanley so for me this was a standalone book. This was a cute romance that brought Nick and Eve together...and it worked. Nick and Eve were both different in how the approached things in life and really seem to have totally different take on things. But in the end they came ...more

I was really looking forward to getting back to the Blue Mountain Distillery and I was very happy that I went back. Eve and Nick’s story was a little bit strange and a whole lot interesting.

Eve was a real pip. She was definitely OCD about things being in order, planning and life. Nothing is spontaneous with her, even having sex. But, there is one person that makes her forget her planner, her notebook and her post-it notes … Nick Baker.

Nick makes no promises. He does not make plans. He takes thin

This is a truly heartwarming tale of two people who have reacted in very different ways to having alcoholic fathers. She’s something of a control freak, with a real fetish for stationery which she stores in her ‘magic closet’. He’s determined not to make promises or plans, only striving to support his Mum largely because of his feelings of guilt. The two meet when Eve tries to discover what has happened to the carpenter she’d employed to build the new tasting and visitor centre at her family Blu ...more

Eve and Nick may not be perfect, but they are perfect for each other. She needs someone to believe in her and encourage her to believe in herself. He needs to forgive himself for past mistakes and work his way through his truckload of heartaches. Ms. Stanley is a miracle worker. Nick and Eve are frustrating, heartbreaking and captivating. Perfection is a state of mind that may begin with the best of intentions, yet turn out anything but. With a Taste of You, Terri Anne Stanley shows readers ther ...more

Eve is on a mission, both personal and professional. Eve, her sister, Allie, and their mom, Lorena, are the only remaining McGraths and Eve is determined to not only restore the old distillery, much to the delight of the co-owning family, the Morgans, but also to complete the addition of a tasting and visitors center in honor of her dad, Jamie, and brother, David, both gone too soon. Now if the carpenter she hired, Raleigh Baker, would be consistent in showing up for work... When Eve decides to ...more

MY RATING: 3/5 STARS

I saw a lot of hype for this book when I first started my twitter account . Intrigued by the title, the cover, and the new author I have yet had the chance to read, I was excited to download it and see what the hype was about.

Expecting a light-heart romantic comedy, A Taste of You by Teri Anne Stanley is borderline it. What I mean is that both characters, Nick and Eve come from such dark pasts that it gives off this raw and real truth to it. Not every character is born from a

Such a fun read!

Eve and Nick make one heck of a couple, and an even better team as they worked together to get Eve's family's tasting center up and ready to go for her mother's big charity event. And okay, there were some pretty serious issues being dealt with here too--alcoholism, both from the personal POV and that of their family's, guilt and abandonment--but even though their treatment was well done and realistic, they didn't bog the story down. Throughout it all, Ms. Stanley's writing had m

This review contains slight SPOILERS. Paragraphs containing spoilers will be marked clearly.

The technical stuff: The cover of this book is drop dead sexy. If I hadn't already wanted to read it, that cover would have had me clicking to see what the story was about. This book is technically book 3 of the “Bourbon Brothers” series, and although the first books in the series are fabulous stories and should be read for that reason, you *do not* have to read them to enjoy this one. There is both on sc

Excellent read! It's fun, flirty, and entertaining. Through the humor you can really feel the depth of these characters and how far they've come. It's very well written and has a great story at the core.

Another cute book for this series. It’s sweet and heartfelt. Eve is beyond type-A and she is on a time crunch to get her family’s new tasting and visitor center for the distillerary ready by opening date. The only problem is her carpenter is MIA so when she goes to finds him she finds his extremely attractive son and his father unable to complete the job because he’s injured. As luck would have it Nick is also a carpenter but convincing him to complete the job in his father’s absence isn’t easy. ...more

I loved this book! Eve's family owns a distillery that is preparing to launch their tasting and visitor center when her contractor disappears. Unable to reach him, she goes to his house and finds his son, Nick. Nick agrees to help with the work his dad left undone, but wasn't prepared for his attraction to Eve.

Both Eve and Nick come from similar backgrounds, both bad, and aren't sure what to do with each other. Add in Nick's believe that he's unworthy and you have all the makings for a great nov

Fun. Flirty. Sexy. Light. Engaging but not overwhelming. This was a read that told you of the hardships and pain without overwhelming you with the intense or over stimulating details of it all. The characters were able to still live life without having their past take joy and pleasure out of it. Eve was due for some fun and flirt a little. Nick needed to live in the now and not the past so much. Eve understood herself and allowed for life to happen and went along with it for the most part. She w ...more

This was a great read. The H and h were both very likeable and you just can’t help pulling for them to find their HEA. Eve McGrath has to work with Nick Baker to finish the visiting center for her family’s Bourbon distillery. Nick’s father is an alcoholic who was supposed to be doing the work, but he’s gotten sick. Nick has come back filled with resentment of having to take care of his dad who did so little to take care of him when he was a kid. Nick is facing his own problems with alcohol so he ...more

I was a little disappointed to realise this was the third book of the series, but I really didn’t feel I’d missed anything by not having read the first two books.

A wonderful, fun and exciting story, A Taste of You has fabulous characters and captures your total attention from the outset. I’ll definitely be reading more by this author.

This was one by this author that the characters did the pulling. They take you along by the hand with the story wrapping around you giving a good escape for awhile. Eve and Nick both have their things to accomplish with helping a parent but when they combine the chemistry level begins to rise . Bits of humor are also sprinkled through out the reading of this to have this be a well rounded romance to stay into. They have their issues but then so do we with this author showing how these two have t ...more

A truly laugh out loud romantic comedy that'll have you searching for additional books by this author. The speed in which Eve's internal monologues occurred was the basis for most of the hilarity. The chemistry between she and Nick was sigh worthy and heartwarming.

Ms Stanley is a comic genius in the timing of dialogue delivery as well as the depth and personality she has created within her characters. I was floored with how easy it was to become emotionally invested so quickly in not only Nick

This was a cute read! I enjoyed reading this book and I like the cover. I haven't read the other books in the series, but I didn't feel like I was missing out on any important information. I am interested in the other characters though so I may go back and read the first one. This is a cute, sweet, sexy book and I'm really glad I got the chance to read it.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Nick and Eve seem to be opposites but they compliment each other so well! Nick doesn't make plans and Eve is a compulsive planner, and both had alcoholic fathers. It doesn't take long for them to realize that they have a spark between them and act on it.

I loved that even though Nick really did not want to work at a distillery, he saw how Eve's mother was treating her and how devastated she would be if he didn't bail her out of the mess. Plus, he rea

What a great quick paced sweet read! I loved Eve as a character. She was anal about her organization, which brought several smiles to my face throughout this story. I mean who doesn't love office supplies, post it notes, and those spiral notebooks??? Eve was very amusing, outspoken, genuinely looked at the good in people, and went for what she wanted in Nick. Nick was a very vulnerable man, who wanted to make amends and do right by people. I was saddened by the amount of guilt he carried. But I ...more
