A dominant rogue wolf meets his match in a wealthy but tempting paediatric nurse. What do they have in common? An attraction so invincible that nothing they do will extinguish the fire between them.

Deacon Remy left Aspen Valley over a year ago believing there was nothing left for him. He gave up on his Pack. He gave up on finding his true mate. He sought solitude. He became a rogue. It took him some time to gather the strength to face his fears. Now he’s back in Aspen Valley and he’s determined to make amends. What he doesn’t expect to find is the woman who wears his mate mark. Without a doubt, he wants to claim her, but he’ll have to let go of the demons holding him down in the past, before they can truly bond!

Monica Collins is so over nonsense relationships that seem to lead nowhere. But as the daughter of a rich doctor, she’s expected to marry into a family with money. She’s running out of options and she’s not one to throw herself at any man’s feet. But then a bad boy rogue shifter shows up in town. Being near him fuels an intense attraction she only thought possible in fairytales. Deacon may not be a rich playboy, but he most certainly knows how to fulfill all her needs. Monica is willing to risk everything by choosing to do what she knows feels right over what she’s expected to do!

Opposites attract in this sexy shifter story of falling in love despite the odds.

Rogue Wolf Aspen Valley Wolf Pack Book 7
by Amber Ella Monroe
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is such a Enjoyable and Exciting read! Amber Ella has outdone herself with this one I enjoyed this book so much I could n't put it down. Deacon Remy is a dominant rogue wolf who meets his mate Monica Collins who is a wealthy but tempting pediatric nurse. Their attraction is so strong that nothing can separate them or extinguish their fire. Deacon and Monica Collins fell in love at first site they have such amazing chemistry when they first met that you just knew it's something special. Deacon and Monica is so smoking HOT together, their story had me glued to my Reader from the beginning to end of this story. I couldn't turn the pages or read fast enough because this is such a beautiful, sensational, fantastic, steamy hot story. The characters are so sexy exhilarating and their story will make you fall in love with love! The dialogue is exciting, sweet, charming, and you may need a fan to cool off! I love the sparks, sexual chemistry, tension between this couple and of course this story is for adults because the sex is explicit but it no way distracts from this captivating story. This story is a part of the Aspen Valley Wolf Pack series but it can be read as a standalone book. This is a Paranormal romance that's really well written and it enthralled me from the beginning and held my attention until the end. I really enjoyed and love reading this book. If you enjoy a fantastic paranormal story then you will want to buy and read this book. When you are ready to read it, I advise you to get comfortable for this beautiful emotional ride and its more than worth it! This is a wonderful and awesome romantic read that I highly recommend. I voluntarily reviewed this book without any obligation from the author.

Reviewed at Shifter Haven

Deacon had left his pack and gone rogue over a year ago. At the time he’d felt he had no other choice. What his father had done, the debts that his grandfather owed, all of it was overwhelming and at the insistence of pack members of that older pack, he cut his losses and left. He headed south and put his mind and back into earning as much cash as possible to pay the debts his family owed back in Aspen Valley. No one expected it of him – no one but himself. Now he’s back and ready to make good on that self made promise On this rainy, stormy night the last thing he expected to encounter was a broken down car on the side of the road – and the beautiful human woman he was beginning to strongly suspect was his mate. Coming home just got complicated.

Monica was naturally wary of the stranger on his motorcycle as he drew up close to her car. He offered assistance, but she was smarter than that. Still there was something about him that made her feel safe, protected in spite of not knowing who he was. She took a risk, said yes to a ride to her father’s home – and stepped into the love that she’d been searching for.

Rogue Wolf is a short romance that lightly touches on events that have happened around Aspen Valley recently. Deacon is coming back to discover a new Alpha has taken over, a more moderate, intelligent Alpha from what he knew. He learns first hand of the murder attempts around the area. And the romance between Monica and Deacon is fun, sexy, and intense. We’ll run into some characters we’ve met in earlier books, although I’m a bit confused on one particular name and time lines but aside from that confusion on my part, Rogue Wolf is a sexy story that I completely enjoyed. I don’t really feel that this story moved the series along any further. Although it did address somethings mentioned earlier on in the series. So, it’s safe to say that while I enjoyed this one, I’m also puzzled by some things – that perhaps will be answered in the next story. The hummingbirds were a sweet touch, and I smiled quite a bit at their references.

In all, I think any Shifter Romance or Paranormal Romance reader would enjoy Rogue Wolf whether you’ve read the earlier stories in the series or not. It’s a fun, sexy story with a likable couple – what’s not to enjoy about that?

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Rogue Wold is the latest in the Aspen ValleyWolf Pack series, but it doesn't stand alone, and it adds nothing to the series. It's basically another 'werewolf meets girl, they fall in lust, have sex, and stay together as mates' story. Deacon Remy, rogue wolf shifter, has a past and a mission to right some old wrongs, which is his reason for returning to Aspen Valley. That's the extent of his backstory, and without further elaboration, Deacon remains an undeveloped character who meanders through the book lusting after Monica, meeting random people, and carrying bags of money. He's supposedly a hotshot mechanic but never lifts a wrench. He gets shot, and there's mention of someone out there murdering shifters, then the author totally drops the issue. Monica, the nurse, is never seen in a social or professional interaction, and has no real personality. She's just a hot looking woman whose roadside breakdown gives Deacon an opportunity to meet his mate. Their connection: she and Deacon both have a butterfly birthmark/mate mark, but there's no real explanation other than Deacon's wolf liking butterflies and Deacon's late grandmother being a gardener. Monica's physician father is initially suspicious of Deacon for being a shifter, but changes his mind and saves Deacon's life after he is shot, and that's about it for dramatic tension. There's no relationship development, there's no real action, no movement on the series story arc, and no character who isn't a cardboard cutout (except Monica's father, who is a stereotype). The dialogue is beyond stilted. The awkward narrative tells very little and shows nothing, and it doesn't help that the author's reliance on predictive text and spell-check makes for frequent botched word choices and mangled meaning. The sex is described in lengthy clinical detail, and is about as exciting as a gynecologist's chart notes. There's no climactic moment and no real ending; the book just stops. Reading through Rogue Wolf was like running a 10K in thick mud: I finished it, thank goodness it's over, and I'm never doing it again. I don't recommend that anyone else try it either.

I found this book to be very interesting if somewhat suspenseful, Deacon a rogue shifter coming back to town to take care of some business he left before he moved to Mississippi. But he happens to see a beautiful woman stuck on the side of the road he knew that the storm was close by he ask her to let him help he couldn't start her car so he offered her a ride on his motorcycle and about time he got her to her neighborhood the rain was pouring down and they were both drenched. Monica's father was a Doctor and he didn't want to invite Deacon in his house but Monica was not having any of it and when her father had given Deacon the third degree, he went upstairs to talk to his daughter and by the time she came back downstairs Deacon had left she was upset because she felt something right away they both did. She made it a point to find where Deacon might be staying through a friend at work but she actually found him at a club that he use to work at and she was coming to for the first time but she saw her ex boyfriend before she saw Deacon and Deacon was not happy at the way she was being treated. This is story has some suspense in it but we don't find out about the culprits in this book either. It really didn't relate much information about the killings. I was given a copy for an honest review.

Deacon Remy left town under a cloud. His father and mother were wastes of space and his grandfather left a mountain of debt after his death. But he has his finances in order after working pretty much non stop the last few years. He has returned to pay off his creditors and then he can leave with his head held high once more.

Monica is a bit of silver spoon baby. her dad is a well off Doctor and she is a Paediatric nurse. She narrowly missed being married off to the reprehensible ex - who I won't even name! Deacon comes to Monica's rescue at the roadside and she is aware of his shifter status, he doesn't hide it and she really doesn't care. Bu when her father all but runs him off with his rude and almost bigoted behaviour, Monica thinks she has seen the last of the hunky Deacon.

The story is fact paced, full on action and the passion is sparking from the moment these two meet! A great story within the wilder Aspen Valley World. It was nice to see some of the previous book in a kind of "different perspective" as they overlap in time slightly. Great read!

I really enjoyed reading Deacon and Monica's story. The book is well written and the style of writing is very easy to read. The plot is interesting and the book has good pace.

The story's are short novel length - a couple of hours read or so. However the story never seemed rushed, I felt like I had gotten to know both main characters and see a full story develop and conclude. Yes the relationship between Monica and Deacon develops quickly, but the shifter aspect of the story makes this more believable/acceptable than I would normally find it if this were just a contemporary romance.

There is no great peril nor any immense angst but there is a captivating story with a hero and heroine that you care about and a HEA that you want to see. I loved the hummingbird connection between Deacon and Monica, it was a nice little addition and provided more depth to the story. The story kept me entertained and the book provided a happy evening of reading.

He may be Rogue, but it hides a Heart of Gold!!

Wolf-shifter Deacon Remy left Aspen Valley, giving up his pack meaning he was officially “rogue”. He worked to earn money and returned to pay the debts his family owed. He runs into a woman with a broken down car, whose touch awakened his animal spirit. Running from a dangerous storm he gets her home realizing the mansion she lives in dicates she is out of his league. The reception from her father confirms it.

Monica may be the privileged daughter of a rich doctor, but her ex-boyfriend, son of a prominent judge is definitely NOT the man for her. Deacon has her heart doing flips and thinking of possibilities… Deacon’s journey and the relationship that builds create a sizzling, touching story of struggle and romance.

Deacon is cousin to Luke from the last book. He came back after a year to pay any debt his family ha from the past. On his way into town he meets Monica because her car broke down. He takes her home on his bike because a storm is coming. When she invited him in and goes to change her clothes her father corners her and tells her Deacon is a shifter. While Monica doesn't care about that, her father told her that Deacon was not good enough for her and she should try to get back with her ex. When she got downstairs, Deacon was gone.
The story is about how Deacon turned his life around over the past year and how Monica accepts and supports him now.
There was also a mentioning of the ongoing activity against shifters that has been happening in the background through this series. And an almost tragic ending because of it.

Her car broke down and Monica Collins is stuck on the side of the road with a storm moving into the area. Deacon Remy is on his way into Aspen Valley, when he sees Monica he pulls over to see if he can help. Monica didn't expect to be immediately drawn to the gorgeous man that rescued her from the storm and gave her a ride home. Deacon realizes the moment he meets Monica that she is his mate, but after he over hears a conversation, he decides to leave Monica alone. Wow, Monica and Deacon are a sizzling hot, sexy couple the plot is engrossing and has a couple of exciting twists. Fantastic, a must read, I couldn't put it down, loved this book.

Incredible read. I zipped through this one and loved it. I like how Deacon is a gentleman and credits his grandma with his manners. He is a rogue who has returned to town to pay off old family debts. He is one of the good guys. I enjoyed Monica and how she knew there was something about him, so she stayed with it and sought him out. I loved the hummingbird connection. That was super neat. Imprinting sounds so cool, how you can't get the other off of your mind and out of your dreams. I like that idea. I was happy to see Dr. Collins come around. Her ex was a piece of work. Then the scene at the nightclub, wowza. You had to fall in love with Remy then. This book made me smile, but it was also a steamy pleasure-filled read.

ROGUE WOLF.... I THINK I COULD GET USE TO ONE OF THOSE AROUND!!!!!!

The Aspen Valley Wolf Pack Series is just getting better and better. I was truly drawn into Deacon's and Monica's story. Love and romance was truly evident in this novel. I like the way each story weaves into the Aspen Valley Wolf Pack, and in each one, you get to see some glimpses of old characters. The protective part of Deacon's character was really hot. The use of hummingbirds as a birthmark was unique and fascinating. If you have not started reading about the Aspen Valley Wolf Pack, I suggest that you start. You truly won't be disappointed. I will surely be patiently awaiting the arrival of the next novel in this Pack. Kudos Ms. Monroe, I'm waiting.......

I have fallen in love with Ms. Monroe's Aspen Valley Wolves series, and this book is no exception. Her characters and story lines pull me in and keep me invested from start to finish.
Deacon and Monica are from different worlds, and would probably have never met if fate hadn't intervened. Thanks to her father's good intentions, they may not see each other again.
Will they have a chance to act on their instant attraction? Will Monica find the meaning of her strange dreams? I highly recommend you read to find out! You'll be glad you did.

From their first meeting, they have this chemistry neither can deny. I really liked the characters. Deacon and Monica work hard to do what is right. They have different backgrounds but you can tell they belong together. Deacon is a very humble guy who is trying to make up for the wrongs of his family. He left his pack due to the issues and is coming back temporarily to resolve things. Finding his mate, changes it all for him. There is a sweetness to their romance as well as plenty of passion.

Good Short Read. You have Monica who is a nurse and daughter to a Doctor. She has broken up with her boyfriend who is trying to be a lawyer and he does not take it well. You have Deacon who left his pack for a year and went to visit another pack that his family came from. Deacon came from a ruff life with his family, but when he comes back he makes good on his families debts and tries to do right. I love that his mate mark is a hummingbird that is awesome. I recieved and arc copy for my honest review.

Deacon and Monica have stolen my heart. This is by far my favorite of the Aspen Valley stories to date. Deacon is the rogue, whose family caused him to leave the pack with debt owed that really wasn't his, but man oh man is he ever honorable. Monica is just too sweet and just a perfect match for him. I loved the tie in with the previous book and seeing former characters revisited too. I love this series and it just keeps getting better with each and every book. I volunteered to read this book.

Deacon and Monica are so HOT! This was a steamy, sexy, captivating story that I just couldn’t put down! The only part I didn’t love about it is that it ended. Books this good should go on forever! This author really knows how to structure the plot to keep things moving along without feeling rushed. Plenty of action and plenty of “action,” too! I’m completely hooked on this series and will keep reading anything Ms. Monroe publishes. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Monica is living with her father again after breaking up with a man she never should have dated. She gave him far too many chances. She encounters Deacon as he is returning to Aspen Valley for a few weeks to repay family debts. Their chance encounter is the beginning of something special, if they can have more than a few moments together before something goes wrong or tears them apart. A quick read. I read this story in the Aspen Valley boxed set. While there wasn’t much action in this story, as compared to some of the others, this was a nice read. Deacon is a former member of the Aspen Valley pack that left after issues with his family. Having been deemed rogue, he has returned to repay his family’s debts. On his first night back he rescues Monica from the side of the road. This was a sweet story of redemption and finding your soul mate.

Wow. There's something about Deacon...a bad ass motorcycle riding guy/wolf with tattoos who loves to sit and watch hummingbirds. Oh, if only. I don't know what it is, but mmm...mmm...mmmmm!
I love to read all of Ms. Monroe's stories about the Aspen Valley Wolf Pack, but this one really spoke to me. I couldn't put it down and just read it in one sitting. It was a great afternoon read and does have some sex scenes so if that offends you, don't buy it. It sure didn't offend me. *smile*

This novella is about Deacon and Monica.

Deacon is a rogue wolf whom makes his way back to Aspen Valley. Monica lives in Aspen Valley and meets Deacon when her car breaks down. He gives her a ride home and both realize there is an immediate attraction. Deacon is torn on staying rogue or staying. Danger lurks around the corner for him but will it be too much?

Great novella! I loved both characters and their love was spicy! The plot was also great.
