Inoffensive but also unexciting offering from Camp featuring amnesic heroine who seeks the assistance of the Moreland investigative agency to locate her lost identity and memory. Fortuitously, Alex Moreland, the twin of the agency's owner, happens to be there in his brother's stead. Alex feels an instant spiritual connection to this beautiful, well-spoken but distraught young girl dressed in boy's clothing. She carries nothing on her person but bruises suggesting physical trauma and a few items,

The butchering of titles was strong in this one... for pity's sake there is no Lord Moreland confusion or profusion. She should call you Lord Alex (you younger son, you). You know this, she should know this. And would authors get off the first name train? It wasn’t a practice back then to commonly use them. Why is this conversation even happening?

The Victorian romance His Sinful Touch begins on a really intriguing note… a young woman, dressed in man’s clothes, stumbles into the office of a small London detective agency and tells them she wants to hire them to find someone. Herself. She has amnesia, and the only clue to her identity is a gold locket around her neck with the name Sabrina and a date twenty years earlier engraved on it.

His Sinful Touch was a wonderful historical romance with a slight paranormal twist about a heroine on the run from unknown foes and the hero determined to protect her.
As Alexander Moreland is leaving his brother’s office, a mysterious gentleman arrives seeking assistance only to be revealed as a woman in disguise and on the run. The woman remembers nothing about who she is apart from her first name, Sabrina, and she can feel she’s running from something but has no clue as to why. As Alex and Sab ...more

Haunted by flashbacks!
The Mad Morelands (what a stunning group of people!) are at it again. Or rather life is at them. Alexander Moreland is surprised by a young man who appears at his office disheveled and distressed. Only that young man is a young woman who has completely lost her memory and has by fortuitous circumstances found her way to Moreland's Investigative Agency and will find her way right into Alex's heart.

Pros
-Each chapter told from alternating points of view between Sabrina and Alex which kept the story fresh and you got a chance to get into the heads of both characters learning their thoughts and feelings on different occurrences.
-The writing itself is appropriate for the period.
-A few somewhat steamy scenes to enjoy.
Did I mention a sexy Son of a Duke??
-Alex’s family is AMAZING!! I kind of want to back-track to read each of their individual stories as they are quite the zany bunch! (I say KIND ...more

My first and unfortunately, my last foray into Candace Camp novels. Despite the plot of this book spanning just a few days (admittedly not my favorite type of story), time seemed to drag when reading it because the narrative is bogged down by unecessarily long conversations and overly detailed descriptions of mundane actions. Reading this was exhausting and I frequently had thoughts along the lines of “I get it! Let’s move on so something can happen...” The premise was interesting (amnesia, elem

This book was a real page turner. I couldn't put it down.
When first I picked this book up, I didn't realize it was number 5 in a series. I really dislike starting in the middle of a series, because you miss a lot of things. I definitely have to go read the first four. The little snippets and hints about previous books were so intriguing! I'm officially hooked.

This is like a wonderful tale you can never get enough of. This family stays in my mind when I am reading other romances! The author is so talented that I cannot get enough of her work. I love the characters, the plot the writing. I like the elements of mystery and intrigue. Most of all I absolutely adore the writing style! In the same vein as the rest of this series -- i.e. not only fantastical (which is OK because it unabashedly addresses supernatural topics so there has to be suspension of disbelief to read that) but also wildly improbable. Unlike the other entries in this series, the heroine here was completely unremarkable except, apparently, that she was super hot.

His Sinful Touch is the fifth book in The Mad Morelands series by Candace Camp. I haven't read any of the other books in the series so can safely say that this one can be fully enjoyed as a stand-alone one. That said, now that I have read this one I will definitely go back and read the others!

Candace Camp is an amazing storyteller! I have just turned the last page and I have this great smile on my face!! This story grabs you and does not let go and flows so smoothly. Suspense, Intrigue and a little of the second sight combine with a mystery and a lot of emotion that has you guessing and believing. You feel you are there with the vivid descriptions of surroundings and the characters that come to life. A beautiful heroine who has lost her memory makes her way to Alex Moreland's office

The series is being relaunched and, although I read it years ago, I confess that I forgot some details of what happens.
Beginning to say that the Morelands are an atypical family.
They, each in a different way, have gifts. Grandmother Moreland, for example, would hear and speak with ghosts.
It's something very private that they keep to them.
This gift helps Alex and Con (Alexander and Constantine - twins) have a successful investigative agency, although in recent times, Alex has dedicated more time ...more

His Sinful Touch is the 5th book in The Mad Moreland series by Candace Camp. I have been a long time fan of Candace’s and I have yet to read one of her books that has disappointed me and His Sinful Touch is no exception. I absolutely loved this book and the storyline is like no other. I highly recommend His Sinful Touch. There is amnesia, disloyalty, kindness, family support, deceit, deception, humor, loyalty, nightmares, twins that can feel when the other is in harms way, insight, mystery and o

With only the contents of her pocket, no memory of herself, dressed in a man's clothes and bruised, Sabrina found herself in an investigative agency to seek help. But with the real investigator's absence, she found herself depending on Alex, the investigator's twin, who has an unusual ability that is really helpful in any investigations. Judging from her physical and mental state, Sabrina was certain she was in the run from someone and weirdly enough, she feels as if Alex can help her solve the

Not a bad read. I liked the Hero and Heroine, the story was fun. Although, there is lots of back story, lots and lots of back story. We meet Alex's brother's, sisters, mother, father, uncle, nieces! Their backstory, his backstory, her backstory!!!!
At one point I thought, damn, this is a second in a series, isn't it? LOL

Okay, I really like some of Candace Camp's books, but this is not one of them. I have stopped reading a hundred pages in. The characters seemed superficial to me. Too much rush to get to the romance. And all this talk of love at first sight, seems like a flimsy excuse not to develop the story slowly in a believable manner. I especially have trouble with Sabrina. She's laughing and giggling and romantically interested only one day into having lost her memory. Sorry, I think I would be too worried

I was a little disappointed. The "Greats" were so wonderful as boys in the earlier books of the Moreland series that I expected more "fun" in Alex's story. So much of the amnesia plot was too unbelievable for me to ignore. It was just a little too far-fetched.

When you don't know who you are...but you know where your heart lies.

Sabrina can't remember what sent her fleeing her country home and to London. She's wearing a man's clothes and doesn't even know her own name. But the bruises on her body and a few strange items in her pockets are the only clues as to how she came to be at the door of an investigation agency. The man inside, however, is an unexpected surprise. She feels as if she ...more
