Amazing story

I love how you see from a child’s perspective how they miss their military mom. Love the pictures that went along.

Such a beautiful story

My child of 7 years old loved this story. When I asked him what he liked about it, he mentioned how he learned something new about the military. He was excited to see how Harmony reacted knowing her mom was part of the military. Next, I plan to have my other child read this story as well.

Positively the best book for both the at-home family and the soldier who is gone for so many months. Right on the pulse of exactly what everyone on both sides goes through and how they deal with this. I highly recommend.

A little girl named Harmony tells us about her unique life and how her family overcomes the challenges of her mom being in the military. This is a wonderfully simplified and highly recommended book for both military children to relate to and for helping civilian children understand the daily sacrifices military families make for our freedom. It’s important for all children to know about these sacrifices. The back of the book includes a glossary and appendix that gives info on 5 ways we can suppo ...more

We salute you!

I love this book! It takes you on a journey of what it is like to have a loved one in the military. The reader learns what it’s like to be on both sides of the situation: the family at home and the service person on duty. I have family members who are currently serving our country so I can relate to this story. This is a great story for not only kids but adults and especially military families. I love the glossary, tips, and resources in the back of the book. When you see a member

Excellent children's book for military families

This is a wonderful book for military families that are trying to cope with a deployed parent. Children can find it hard to accept such a change in their homelife and be unsure of how they will be effected. This story has the mother being called to duty and
the father stepping into a new role. The family bond is tighter than ever and the kids are reassured that everything is going to be okay.

A comforting book for the children of those who serve

I'm not part of a military family but the book brought it home for me how much those who serve are missed, and what they do to cope. I can imagine it being a great comfort to many children and recommend it.
