She just can't afford to be distracted these days, especially not by the immature boys that keep asking her out. I simply adored this book. Not from the very first moment, actually, because for the first 10% or so Brandon was acting like a true jerk, but after that I couldn't stop reading. Everything changed on their first real date, when we finally get to know why he made all the wrong moves with Skylar, and it's a damn good explanation. Moreover, he showed Skylar and us readers another aspect

But I just could not do it
Bad liar remix by me

The main reason I could not finish this book is the cliches, its too much and I just can't take too much cliches especially in romance books, this book is also giving 50 shades vibe and I don't like 50 shades.

LEGALLY YOURS was a very mixed read for me with later highlights but earlier low-lights. The initial setting was inviting, with Skylar piquing my interest as an unusual character. She didn't seem to be able to find a fit in life, both work and outside. She'd had a few careers and was still studying and whilst I wouldn't place this in the NA genre, it did have some parallels with that type of story. At about 12%, there was a section of the story that screamed FSOG, the similarities we
Despite featuring the most irritating heroine since Kiera in Thoughtless, this owned me, I've been gripped.

First in a series, incomplete story but the series is complete and available on ku.

Have to read on.

Okay, I'm a little biased because I wrote it. I'm a sucker for strong women and the damaged men who love them. Plus, it's just hot! Even I can't wait to know everything that happens next (don't worry, I'm writing). What do you think?

Hot stuff right here - along with well-developed characters who have great chemistry, a fast-pace (don't let that page count fool you - this moves quickly!), and an emotional roller coaster of a story. I love male characters who act tough but are actually vulnerable (Brontë heroes, anyone?) and tough, speak-your-mind heroines, and Brandon and Skylar fit both of these bills. I am absolutely looking forward to book two!

Initially I felt like plot and story line is copied from well known Fifty Shades of Grey ... But i must tell everyone NO, its not. It looks like but story is actually totally different and spell binding i must say. Characters are so perfect.

3-book series that I was really taken by. It's a bit different with a mob vibe to it which provides a heavy dose of suspense. And the hero has totally captivated me. Not so sure about his love interest quite yet -- she's a bit of a "yes/no/maybe/yes/no/maybe" kinda girl. Also I loved the law student element and the City of Boston with its Harvard influence. There are some really good lines of dialog and enough sexual tension to make me blush -- and that's not even counting what takes place again ...more

When I first saw this book I wanted to read it and thought it would be good. This was so much better than good. I loved it! I was in total shock that this was Nicole's debut novel. It is so well written and developed that it couldn't possibly be true. Don't get me wrong there are some great debut novels out there but usually you can see where there is room for growth on the author's part. You won't find that here. The writing was phenomenal, story plot well thought out and characters nicely deve ...more

This was the first book I have read by this author and I absolutely loved it! I was immediately drawn to the strong emotions the author wrote into the characters of Skylar and Brandon. I think I went through all the emotions of the ups and downs of each of them as they came up in the book. I wanted to find out if Skylar could really love Brandon and he should be loved and if she would let Brandon love her the way he thinks she deserves to be loved. I was sad when the book ended as I wanted it to ...more

I love this book. It's such a great read and very realistic. If you're looking for a different take on a romance novel give this book a read. I think the character development is incredible and now it's definitely a book I will continue to read.

I absolutely loved this book and quickly found myself hooked. I couldn’t wait to see what crazy things Brandon would say or do next. Nicole did an amazing job writing the chemistry between Skylar and Brandon, with a gripping story line and laugh out loud moments. I'm anxious to see what happens next.

I’m a little bit torn about this story. Let me tell you what I liked about it first. It is exactly what you want a contemporary romance novel to be like. There is lots of drama, strong female character, and a bunch of interesting antagonists. The romance in this story is sweet, and off the charts hot, with Brandon saying things like:

‘I couldn’t give a shit if you’ve been with one or one thousand other men, because none of them are going to light a fucking candle to what you and I can do

Ok.... lets start off by saying I did enjoy this book. I would say it's a 3.5. I started and finished in little over a day..... with that said I would have finished much sooner but the length of this book is so long. The Author was extremely detailed in her writing which probably lead to the increased length of the book. However, I think it could have been condensed down some or ended the first book sooner and saved some for the second book in t

Where to start? I'm not sure I even remember how I stumbled upon this gem but I'm so glad I did! This was a very well written, well thought out story that didn't leave any holes or gaps making you question what was going on. Skylar and Brandon are infuriating in the best possible way. I won't lie - there were a few instances where I wanted to slap Skylar or shake her and ask her what her dealio was but at the same time, she made sense to me. She's strong and has a good head on her shoulders desp ...more

My heart ripped a little at the end of chapter 43.

French did one hell of a job telling this story. My heart was everywhere during this read. With the amount of detail French provides, you can't help but really connect with these characters. You feel every ounce of their happiness, pain, and sorrow. There were times where I was frustrated with the both of them, but you always find that in a great book. I loved watching their perfectly imperfect love story bloom with every passi

I want to start this review off by saying that I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT FOR BOOK TWO!
whew, now that I've said that-
The story was beautifully written, the characters wonderfully developed and I found myself swooning over Brandon :) The story kept pace and I never found myself putting it down just because. Anytime I had to step away from Skyler and Brandon's story, it was because I had no other choice and I counted the minutes until I could pick it up again!

Let me start by saying that I am glad I did not read this BEFORE Book two was released! Cliffhangers are torture at best, but this one seriously rips my heart out. Nicole French is able to write amazing characters and create a story that we can all find ourselves becoming a part of. These characters worm their way into your hearts from word one. I can not say that I was in love with all of them from the start, but by the end of the story, I could not picture the story missing even one of them.

A sharp, sassy and scorching romance with raw edge and all the feels...

Nicole French is a new author to me, I'd come across her name here and there and when I was offered the advanced copy to Legally Mine— I could not refuse. In truth, I was actually rather excited. I'm a mahooooosive fan of legal dramas and an avid romance devourer... so this was win-win. Not only is this a legal romance, but it's also a workplace romance with characters that aren't just empathiseable— they are downright loveab

Love isn’t easy ! Love isn’t some cut and dry legal document with everything clearly defined. While author Nicole French is well versed with the world of law, she makes it pretty damn clear that life doesn’t have the same clarity.
Yes, Brandon is a hunk, who makes our girl, Skylar go weak in the knees but, Nicole clearly underlines, through Skylar eyes that a relationship requires so much than fancy Paris dinners and expensive gifts.

This was my first introduction to Nicole French and I'm glad I found her. She has a really well crafted story here. Skylar is a law school student, interning at Sterling (Associates?) law firm. This is her second career, she spent some time on Wall Street in NY and with a boyfriend who was a Wall Street jerk. So once that relationship ended, she left NY for Boston and a new life as a law school student. She's strong but also not. She always wants to do the right thing and sometimes comes across ...more

Skylar Crosby is a legal intern, on scholarship from an Ivy League school, with a poor family. Though she has hopped from a job on Wall Street to a job in Boston, she constantly feels the need to prove herself to her peers. Proving herself comes easy, as she's extremely quick witted, and exceptionally intelligent. After a night out with her work friends, she finds herself in her bosses' home. After staying the night when a snow storm hits, she's blind sided by her boss, Brandon's offer of being ...more

I have to echo what all of the other reviewers have said (minus the one who didn't like it and called it stupid), this was a great read. I was drawn in instantly and read way longer than I should have. I neglected some of the things I needed to be doing (yes, the laundry had to go through a 2nd cycle in the dryer to shake out the wrinkles - more than once) because I was more interested in reading. And I also have to echo the frustration at the cliffhanger ending. I understand this is a great way ...more

Legally Yours

Wow, If you like steamy novels, this will not let you down. Now, I haven't read a romance novel in quite awhile so I can't say there aren't other ones out there as "sexy", but this had my mouth dropping open many times. It has that common thread..girl falls for a man she thinks she shouldn't be with, and tries to fight it, only to find she can't resist him and vice versa.
What I do like about this book, it's very relatable, at least to me. Single and out in the dating world and get

Brandon and Skylar are two people who have had to fight the fight to be where they are at in life. Brandon having more success in his life, lives a life many would see as luxurious but to skylar it was something she wanted nothing to do with. All Skylar wanted was the man not the money, but as hard as they both tried they couldn't stay away from one another.

The story behind skylar and Brandons love is one full of twist and turns and one that in the end doesn't end. Yes, there is a little cliffh
