Murder Over Mochas is the fifth book in a five-book series called A Java Jive Mystery. In this story, Juliet Langley’s ex-fiancé, Scott O’Malley, the total douche who had started all of Juliet’s troubles came back into her life from out of nowhere. He also received a less than welcome reception from Juliet. He was looking for Juliet’s help but why should she help him? He had stolen all her furniture and money before running off with another woman and leaving her a failing business. After he drop

“Murder Over Mochas” earns 5/5 Clever Karma Conclusions!
I am new to Caroline Fardig’s Java Jive Mystery series, so when I was given the opportunity to read book five, apparently the final book in the series, I immediately sat down with my own frothy Mocha and was thrilled right off! Caroline started the adventure with “ex-boyfriend turned friend” Ryder (seems an oxymoron, but a very delightful dynamic) inviting Juliet Langley to a gun and knife show…Wouldn’t that be a better invitation for his c ...more

Easy to read, attention-holding and a wonderful way to take a break from my usual shoot-'em-up, gore-filled action books: That's my take on this fun book that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. If there's a downside, it appears to be the last in a five-book series that I wish I'd started from the beginning (although this one stands on its own just fine).

I have been a fan of this series since the beginning but I think this is my favorite book to date. Juliet is such a wonderful main characters. She is smart, funny, sarcastic, and feisty. The cast of regular secondary characters make their return appearances and we finally have a resolution to Jules' romantic life. I also liked how Ms. Fardig crossed over with her Lizzie Hart Mystery series, introducing readers to those characters.

OMG! Loved this one! I've enjoyed this series immensely from the start. This is the fifth book. I highly recommend this if you're a cozy mystery fan. So glad this book came to fruition.
Juliet Langley is an awesome protagonist. A long-ago ex shows up and drops dead in Java Jive. Now, Juliet is the prime suspect and must do all she can to find the real killer. Her best friend Pete, along with some other great characters, are there to help her solve this case.

This is the fifth and final book in the Java Jive mystery series by Caroline Fardig. This series is so good it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if she added five more books to the mix. Just love it that much!
Basic premise: Juliet has finally gotten her private investigator’s license and her detective friend, Ryder is working with her and his new girlfriend Maya for her PI firm. Juliet’s old flame, Scott, who was responsible for her losing her last business after he stole all her money, wants h ...more

This cozy mystery is not the coziest but definitely has a lot of humor! Even though it is set in a coffee shop, it's definitely different from similarly themed cozies. I have gotten to really love the characters and hope the author writes more books in this series!

Murder Over Mochas by Caroline Fardig is the best in the series!
From the very beginning, the story grabs your attention and it just keeps getting better and better.
Juliet Langley is such a great character, she is strong, independent and she loves with her whole heart.
She has grown more and more in each and every book and this story portrays her in such a way that you can't help but love her.

Investigation is the best in the series to date. Episode # 5 just may be the final in the series as Juliet comes to decisions in this episode of Java Jive Mysteries.

I love the Java Jive series!
Caroline Fardig delivers a great plot filled with twists and humorous moments.
I was hooked from the first chapter, and it was difficult to put down.
In this installment, the author gives us a glimpse of the characters from her other cozy-mystery series set in Juliette's home town (Liberty).
Would definitely recommend it to any cozy-mystery fan.

These Java Jive books are just magical! Fun, mysterious, romantic and well written. I drop everything else on my TBR pile to read these when one become available and it is worth it. The lively cast of characters and the storyline that keeps me interested because you never know what will happen to Juliet yet, make these a must read. This one did have a little different feel as Juliet made some very important life decisions, while solving the murder of her ex-fiancé with her bestie Pete and ex-boy

Caroline Fardig’s newest and, in my opinion, strongest of her Java Jive Mysteries, Murder Over Mochas, is quite entertaining and enjoyable. While I don’t know if this is the case, this book has the feel of a final book in a series, completing different arcs and seeing the maturing of Juliet Langley. She is still juggling attractions to a bevy of men but her heart, as always, belongs to her longtime best friend, Pete Bennett. This has been a recurring theme throughout the series, sometimes frustr

I have have been a fan of the Java Jive series right from the first book. Juliette is an intriguing heroine who manages to be feisty and smart even if she does stumble into one calamity after another. It’s been fun reading about the on again off again threesome of Jules, her best friend Pete and her former boyfriend Ryder. I won’t give away who it is but she finally makes a decision but not until she is neck deep in murder again.

This is a great book; this is the fifth book in the Java Jive Mystery Series written by Caroline Fardig. 3.5 stars review.
Okay… This is the 5th book in the series. As this is a cosy mystery series, the mystery is, and always was, the focus of the book. The romance, as tangled up as it is, was a background. Though for me, a very noisy background.
I loved the mystery story here. Scott, Juliet’s ex-fiancé that ran of with other woman and took all her money, arrived in town asked for help. And promptly dead in the coffee shop Juliet managed. The story ensued was so captivating and intriguing that I real ...more

I simply adore the Java Jive series! From the very start of book one I was engrossed and fully invested in Pete’s and Juliet’s story. As each additional book has come out I’ve eagerly devoured it and fell more in love with the returning characters. Their ups and downs- there are so many of the downs! Juliet's uncanny ability to always find herself embroiled in a new, murderous mystery while still trying to navigate the constant back and forth of her love life never fails to entertain and delight

I am new to this author, and found this book to be an enjoyable read. Juliet manages a coffee house and is also a private detective. Her boss Pete is her best friend. When her ex-fiance unexpectedly shows up, begging for her help and then dies, Juliet and Pete get involved in the case. They were not only the last ones to see Scott alive, but he also had stolen all of Juliet’s money and possessions in the past. Her ex-boyfriend Ryan (a police officer) also gets involved. I hate it when they are to easy to figure 'out. Everything is neatly wrapped up as I think this is the end of this series. Juliet is one busy lady!! I rate this a
