Really excellent book, read numerous times, written by local graduate from Ohio State. Book starts out at Kings Island.

Book is about a young Russian boy who runs away from home. His father is a diplomat and is visiting the U.S. When he learns that they are being sent back to Moscow he can not bare to leave America. Mikhail the young boy hides in a car under a blanket and befriends a young girl named Lisa. Excellent book, one of my favorites

I love this book. When I was a kid, I used to read it all the time. This time, I read it for our Kids Lit Book Club. As mentioned before, the theme this month is "Books Written by People We Know". This book happens to be written by my Mother.

I've never read it with a critical eye before, and I realized some new things this time. First- the audience for the book is younger than I expected it to be. I'm imagining 10-13 year olds. This is due to how everything is very clearly explained. Russian hi

Loved it. A fantastic story about growing up, taking time, and state of change. Well written and out within a clear historical context.
